‘New Moon’ By The Numbers

THIS whole interview with director Mary Harron is worth reading, but, the only part that’s made the front page of all the blogs is the juicy part where Harron admits that she and Christian Bale developed his character in American Psycho based on Tom Cruise. “One day he called me and he had been watching Tom Cruise on David Letterman, and he just had this very intense friendliness with nothing behind the eyes, and he was really taken with this energy.” * Yeah, we’ve all been taken with that energy, and the darkness that lurks behind the handsome smile.
