Kelly McGillis is probably best known for her role in the beloved Tom Cruise film Top Gun . Last Friday, however, the 58-year-old actress became the latest star to offer a cautionary tale about the dangers of fame when she shared the following harrowing tale on social media: “I came home last night around 9:00 after attending a lecture by theologian Robin Meyers. The final conclusion of which was about loving others. ‘Every single other.’ When I arrived home on top of my mountain “Upon entering the house I notice a pair of girls pink sandals and a black larger pair. I thought that maybe one of my daughters was here because one of them has a key. Called out hello several times. I was trying to get rid of the stuff in my hand to better assess what was going on when a stranger, a woman, came barreling down the hallway and began yelling at me. “I asked her who she is and why she was in my house and she said ‘you know why you’ve been stalking me in Twitter.’ Not true. At that moment I got worried that there may be someone else in the house with house with her. We have quite a few guns and lots of ammo and that’s when I started to panic. “Thinking that if they have one of them I could be shot. I ran out the front door and called 911. She ran out after me and began punching and scratching my trying to grab the phone out of my hand. I began screaming as loud as I could hoping someone somewhere might hear me. I still had my car keys in my hand so I set off the car alarm. “That distracted her enough to throw the cell and try to deal with the keys. More fighting ensued. I got the cell phone back and dialed 911 again. More fighting. And she once again had the cell phone. “I finally broke away, got in the truck and drove off trying to find a neighbor to call 911. There was no one around since it was Friday night, so I chased someone in a car, kept flashing my lights and honking the horn. “They finally pulled over and she made the 911 call for me. A truly good Samaritan. Dispatch told me to wait there for there for someone to arrive. Too shorten this ever long story. She was apprehended. “I’m alright. Scratched and bruise. I feel very thankful it turned out well. But who I feel heartache for is the little girl that was with her. Mental illness takes many hostages. I don’t know her name…but I would like to asked that you pray for her and her mother. “On a lighter note…my cell phone was thrown in the street and run over by my pick up. Thanks to the Otter case it still is in good shape. “Also I have RayBan glasses frames and the were ripped from my face and stomped on I don’t know how many times. They are still wearable. It always a good day when you can find the positive in a negative situation.” McGillis is the latest celebrity to call attention to the dangers that obsessed fans can present to public figures. Just last week, 18-year-old Kylie Jenner sold her home after a stalking incident . Last year, actress Mila Kunis was stalked by a man who escaped a mental health facility after being apprehended. The suspect in McGillis’ case, identified as Laurence Marie Dorn, was booked on second-degree burglary, misdemeanor larceny, misdemeanor stalking, assault and battery and interfering with emergency communication. But even if Dorn receives the help that she clearly needs, it seems unlikely that McGillis will ever feel fully safe in her home again.

We’ve shared those screenshots below: “I had a Raya account through February,” he said, continuing: “Unlike every other contestant on this show who was flown [in] for final selection and [a] finalized spot on the show in January, I was never contacted nor was the show even on my radar until early March. “Just over a week before filming I was reached out to by a producer.” Rodgers went on to address the fact that, yes, his name was leaked as a contestant before the official cast was announced… but he had not yet agreed to actually be on the series. “I did not sign or agree to do the show until March 12, the day before we reported to [Los Angeles] for filming,” he said. “My name was leaked before I ever gave a verbal [agreement] and in fact I said I would not do it, yet I was leaked anyway before agreeing.” According to his contract, Rodgers cannot have an online dating profile while appearing on The Bachelorette. “Per contract, immediately after my filming on the show ends I cannot use these types of applications nor would I want to breach contract by doing so,” he added. “I immediately deleted the profile as soon as I had access to do so. However the auto renewal had already been processed through the month of May and into June. The news for Josh Waring just got incredibly more dim. Earlier this week, The Real Housewives of Orange County star was arrested for attempted murder. And while that’s a hefty charge, it’s not like anyone didn’t see this coming. If you watch The Real Housewives of Orange County online , you probably already knew that he’s a troubled young man. He shot at a man and then fled the scene in his vehicle. The thing that made it all the more shocking was that he didn’t drive away in his own car. Instead, he opted for a stolen BMW SUV. He then proceeded to cause a traffic accident and closed off the chase by attempting to run off on foot. He was not giving in. Now, new details have emerged about the charges that Lauri Peterson’s son is facing. Waring appeared in the Costa Mesa Jail courtroom yesterday morning. According to an Orange County Superior Court public information officer, Waring did NOT state a plea. Lauri’s worst nightmares are totally coming true about her son. He was slapped with three counts of attempted murder, three counts personal use of a firearm and once count of inflicting great bodily injury. There’s also word that there was a previous disturbance between Waring and his victim, Daniel Lopez. “Apparently there had been a previous confrontation between [Waring] and the occupants of that residence earlier, and he had returned,” Costa Mesa police Lt. Paul Beckman said. “At about 1:30 a.m. my husband was still awake and heard people out in the street screaming and cussing,” a woman who lives across the street from the sober living facility The Way Home said of the dangerous altercation. “He came back in and just said he wasn’t going to deal with this.” We wish Daniel a speedy recovery! It’s been nearly seven years since Brittany Murphy passed away under mysterious circumstances at the age of 32. Strangely, just six months after her death, Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack also passed away . Monjack was only 39, and his death sparked renewed interest in the cause of Murphy’s demise. Her death was ruled natural – a result of the combined effects of pneumonia, anemia, and multiple drug toxicity – but many reasoned that the back-to-back deaths of two people in their 30s must indicate some sort of foul play. Now, in his new tell-all entitled A Case For Murder: Brittany Murphy Files, author Bryn Curt James is examining the possible overlooked causes of Murphy’s death – and exposing new secrets about her sad final days. James claims that Murphy was living in virtual squalor in the days leading up to her death. He writes that the actress passed away on a bed surrounded by “mountain of clothes, make-up, perfumes, an oxygen machine and medical supplies…It was a ready-made drug store. “The large bed was stained and the sheets twisted and drenched in sweat,” James adds. “Flanking each side of the bed were nightstands covered in…half-drunk bottles of water, prescription medication bottles, some open and some empty, and used tissues.” It’s unclear why exactly James is arguing that Murphy was murdered, as his book title indicates, but other sources who were close to the actress in her final days argue that she appeared to be in very poor health. “Not once did I see her eat!” says a film producer who worked with Murphy on one of her final projects. “She would drink coffee all day. She looked sickly.” “Her hands were a purple-blue color,” says another insider. “It was sad and worrying to see how unhealthy she looked and to be honest if it wasn’t for her name I don’t believe she would have been hired.” Sadly, Murphy’s father, Angelo Bertolotti, says that just before her death, Murphy revealed to him that she was determined to leave harmful influences behind her and start anew on the East Coast. “Brittany wanted a different kind of life and she was going to move to New York before her death,” Betrtolotti revealed in a recent interview. “She was so excited to start a new life and have a baby.”
