Margaret Groening Dies; Real-Life Marge Simpson Inspiration Was 94

Margaret Groening, the mother of The Simpsons creator Matt Groening and the basis for the beloved Fox animated family matriarch Marge, has died. She was 94 years old. Margaret Groening’s death was announced via an obituary in The Oregonian . She passed away in her sleep back on April 22, according to the publication. Many Groening family details made their way into The Simpsons , among them his mother’s maiden name, Wiggum, and his father’s name Homer. Homer Groening, a World War II veteran and cartoonist, died in 1996. In addition to Matt, Margaret is also survived by two daughters … Lisa and Maggie. According to her obituary, Margaret taught high school English before starting a family and was a talented needlework artist. It’s unclear if she went by Marge. Just recently, The Simpsons creator confirmed that the inspiration behind the long-running show’s fictional town of Springfield was Springfield, Oregon. The show, which premiered in 1989, is the longest-running animated series on TV, and one of the most successful shows of any genre in any era.

My name is Saskia, I’m 17 years young and I’m from Germany. I’ve…

My name is Saskia, I’m 17 years young and I’m from Germany . I’ve been a Belieber since 2009 and supporting Justin since ‘One Time’ came out. He had me at ‘Aye’ and I just fell in love with the boy in his grey hoodie. Since 2009 I dreamt about meeting Justin. My idol, my inspiration, my hero, the boy who changed my life. You all can imagine how much Justin means to me, he puts a smile on my face every single day and he taught me to believe in myself. I never gave up on my wish of meeting him. Justin has been in Germany often but I never had the chance to meet him but then it happened. April 2nd changed my whole life. The Adidas NEO store invited 50 lucky beliebers to their store for a ‘pre-show concert party.’ I was one of the 50 winners and every winner was allowed to bring a friend. I took my friend Michelle because I was also going to the concert with her. Adidas told us that there will be a live-chat with Justin and I was so freaking excited when we arrived. There was a lot of police outside of the store and there were security inside the store. Inside, a woman played some music and they gave away some prizes (ex. golden shoes that were signed by Justin). She told us that there will be a surprise for us in one hour, so my friend and I thought that this has something to do with the live chat. In the end, there was no live-chat. DJ Tay James showed up and played more music for us! He was in such a good mood and it was so much fun to party with him! Even though it was really great with DJ Tay James, I was sad because there was really no sign of a live-chat. Then out of no where, Justin came out without any warning! I couldn’t believe that it was really him and we were all screaming so freaking loud. Tears fell down my face. Justin thanked us for coming out and said that he will take a picture with EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the store. Alfredo and Kenny came with Justin and it was great to see them as well. We all had to get in line and then the pictures were taken. When it was time for Michelle and I to meet Justin, I asked if I could hug him. He said “Yes” so I quickly did. After that the picture was taken. I looked at Justin and said, “Thank you so much.” He was just smiling. My friend Michelle hugged him and then we were already pushed away by the security. It all went by really fast but I don’t care. I finally got a picture with my idol and that’s all that matters. After everyone got their picture, Justin said some more words and then it was over. I was crying so hard because I couldn’t believe that I just saw him, it just felt like a dream to me.  I still look at my picture every single day and can’t believe that this is real. After the event my friend and I drove to the O2 for the concert. It was my first concert and it was amazing and perfect. I cried my eyes out when he sang ‘Be Alright’ and the last song, ‘Believe’ because these songs really mean a lot to me. Thanks to Adidas NEO for giving me the chance to meet Justin and thanks to Justin for being just the way you are! I will never let you down and I will always stay with you, no matter what happens. That’s what I promised myself and you – once a belieber, always a belieber.  Thank you so much for everything, Justin. You cannot imagine how much you mean to me and how much you help me in life every single day. I love you. -Saskia (@loovingthebiebs) See more here: My name is Saskia, I’m 17 years young and I’m from Germany. I’ve…

This was the day my dreams came true! I finally met my idol, my inspiration, my world. It actually happened and I still cannot believe it. I got to the arena at 3:45 p.m. to get in the queue for the M&G. I went inside and I got my VIP gift bag. We could all hear the sound check going on but couldn’t see anything. The stewards at the arena and security walked us down the stairs whilst telling us not to scream or cry in Justin’s face. I have never been so scared yet so excited in my entire life. As we’re walking down the stairs I was shaking, I couldn’t walk in a straight line. After waiting in line for what felt like forever it was finally my turn! I was standing by the curtain where I could see the people in front of me getting their picture taken. I couldn’t believe he was standing there! When you see a picture of Justin and you think he looks perfect and people say it’s just airbrushed…. it’s not. He is seriously perfect in real life too! He had just come back off holiday so his tan looked AMAZING. I had made a birthday card and got a leather band saying “Happy 19th Justin Love Alex More here: This was the day my dreams came true! REVIEW: Pay No Attention To That Prequel Behind The Curtain! ‘Oz’ Is Neither Great Nor Powerful

Consciously evoking the structure and iconography of MGM’s classic The Wizard of Oz   without attempting to rival its impact, Disney’s Oz the Great and Powerful can be enjoyed, up to a point, on its own colorful, diverting but finally rather futile terms. Offering an eye-tickling but gaudily depersonalized Land of Oz populated by younger, sexier versions of well-known characters (most incongruously the Wicked Witch of the West), this elaborate exercise in visual Baum-bast nonetheless gets some mileage out of its game performances, luscious production design and the unfettered enthusiasm director Sam Raimi brings to a thin, simplistic origin story. The smash success of Wicked , the stage tuner adapted from Gregory Maguire’s much more intricate and morally complicated Oz  prequel, showed that L. Frank Baum’s richly imagined universe still holds significant interest for audiences worldwide. With its culturally resonant imagery, state-of-the-art technology and strong family appeal, Disney’s first excursion into this realm since Walter Murch’s Return to Oz  nearly 30 years ago should enjoy a hefty yellow-brick load in theatrical release that will only be amplified by 3D ticket premiums and bountiful ancillary opportunities. Abundant indicators of commercial success and faultless production values aside, there’s a persistent sense of artifice here, something admittedly not lost on a story that’s very much about the power of technology and the magic inherent in a skillfully executed illusion. Yet it still rings hollow in a way that prevents full surrender, leaving the viewer with an immediate desire to revisit the still-wondrous 1939 film and, to a lesser extent, the original Baum novels credited as the inspiration for Mitchell Kapner and David Lindsay-Abaire’s screenplay. (The filmmakers had to navigate a veritable poppy field of legal issues to steer clear of copyrighted and trademarked elements from the MGM film, now owned by Warner Bros.) Although Dorothy is nowhere in sight, attentive listeners will catch a fleeting reference to her origins in the film’s exquisite prologue, which, a la The Wizard of Oz , unfolds on a windy strip of Kansas prairie. Rendered in black-and-white and framed in Academy ratio, the sequence works as a luminous standalone tribute to the wonders of old-fashioned trickery and showmanship as practiced by traveling circus magician Oscar Diggs ( James Franco ), whose vaudeville-style act is a marvel of wires, trapdoors, faux hypnosis and do-it-yourself sound effects. Oscar is a handsome rogue, a sly con artist, and an expert levitator and seducer of women, qualities that will prove at once crucial and dangerous when a twister blows his hot-air balloon off course and deposits him in the vibrant-colored Land of Oz, where no fewer than three beautiful and powerful witches wind up vying for his attention. These include the naive, emotionally susceptible Theodora (Mila Kunis); her older, colder sister, Evanora (Rachel Weisz); and their sworn nemesis, Glinda (Michelle Williams), a beauteous blonde whose motives are initially shrouded in secrecy. Crucial to these women’s competing agendas is the question of whether Oscar is the all-powerful wizard who, as prophesied, will ascend to the throne of the Emerald City and deliver Oz from evil. Disney’s marketing campaign has worked to generate some suspense over the question of who will eventually become the Wicked Witch of the West, although even modestly Oz-savvy viewers will have no trouble guessing which witch is which before the truth is revealed halfway through. Suffice it to say that the transformation is poorly motivated at best, and the unlucky girl in question, sporting not only the requisite green skin but also an eyeful of cleavage, seems a better candidate for top honors at a West Hollywood Halloween bash than for the mantle of Margaret Hamilton. Such comparisons to The Wizard of Oz  are not only unavoidable but actively invited by Raimi’s film, which, within its legal restrictions, carefully mimics its 1939 forebear — from the early monochrome-to-color shift signaling that we’re not in Kansas anymore to the device of having key supporting characters pop up on both sides of the proverbial rainbow. To their credit, scribes Kapner and Lindsay-Abaire have taken pains to incorporate previously unfilmed elements from Baum’s original work. Pointedly in this version, Glinda hails from the South, not the North; the (racially diversified) Munchkins are joined by the similarly friendly but lesser-known Quadlings; and a key role is played by the fragile, all-porcelain China Girl (Joey King), who joins Oscar and his benign winged-monkey companion, Finley (voiced by Zach Braff), on their journey. Quite apart from the question of whether the picture lives up to its various inspirations, however, Oz the Great and Powerful  finally falls short by dint of a too-timid imagination. In straining for an all-ages simplicity, the script comes off as merely banal, full of flat, repetitive dialogue about who’s good, who’s wicked and, most incessantly, whether Oscar is a real wizard, an opportunistic scoundrel or perhaps both. Not until the third act does the film start to jell, with a couple of arresting setpieces that neatly demonstrate how pluck, resourcefulness and an endless supply of tricks can equal, and even overcome, real magic. Raimi’s genre credentials made him as ideal a match for this production as any, and he attacks the material with palpable vigor, countering the thinness of the story with visuals that can feel by turns excessive and transporting. Gary Jones and Michael Kutsche’s lovingly detailed costumes and Robert Stromberg’s multihued sets take on an almost radioactive glow in Peter Deming’s widescreen cinematography, and the use of tracking and crane shots is inspired, the camera pulling back on occasion to observe the action at a painterly remove. This marks the first time Raimi has worked with the stereoscopic format, and he’s applied it with abundant care and precision. Bob Murawski’s editing meshes seamlessly with the 3D-lensed imagery to produce a fluid, genuinely multidimensional experience whose eye-popping effects — a swirl of fog rolling out of the frame; blossoms that turn out to be butterflies — are executed with an enchanting dexterity and playfulness. In a real sense, Oz the Great and Powerful  has a certain kinship with George Lucas’ Star Wars  prequels, in the way it presents a beautiful but borderline-sterile digital update of a world that was richer, purer and a lot more fun in lower-tech form. Here, too, the actors often look artificially superimposed against their CG backdrops, though the intensity of the fakery generates its own visual fascination. The indie experiments with which Franco has been recently preoccupied lend an interesting subtext to his casting as a genial humbug, and the actor fills the Wizard’s shoes, vest and top hat with slippery, ingratiating charm. Among the three witches, Kunis’ Theodora is a bit lacking in dramatic stature; Weisz’s Evanora strikes the right notes of icy ambition; and Williams, who has rarely looked more radiant onscreen, is a bewitching presence indeed, making Glinda more than just another bubblehead.

REVIEW: Pay No Attention To That Prequel Behind The Curtain! ‘Oz’ Is Neither Great Nor Powerful

I cannot even believe I am writing this right now. I don’t…

I cannot even believe I am writing this right now. I don’t even know where to begin. First of all, we were not Beliebers from day one. We weren’t haters, but Justin was just like “that Justin Bieber kid” to us. We had wanted to see ‘Never Say Never’ when it was in theaters because we thought he was cute, and we were interested to see the story behind him. Dad was not going for it, so we just never ended up going to see it. Then it came to DVD, and mom rented it for us the day it released, May 11, 2011. That’s when our love for Justin began, and that’s also when I developed the passion to make Danica’s dream of meeting Justin come true. Click here to watch my video I made for Danica. Danica was struggling through a lot, and when that movie came out, it CHANGED our lives!  We watched it for the first time, and we were BLOWN AWAY by his story!  We just couldn’t get enough of it, so we made mom pay for an extra day of rental just so we could watch it 3 more times. Justin not taking “No” for an answer, not caring about what other people had to say, and just fighting straight through every obstacle – that is what changed our lives. We realized “he came from nothing, and look where he is now.” Never Say Never. I know people are probably like “that’s so cliche,” but it’s really true, especially NOW, I mean, WE MET JUSTIN DREW BIEBER!  But I won’t skip ahead yet. When Born To Be Somebody played at the end of the movie, that was like Danica’s breaking point. That was when she realized, “Just because I’m losing my hair, that doesn’t mean I can’t fulfill my dream of being an actress. I can make a difference. I can be who I want to be whether I lose all of my hair, some of my hair.. I was born to be somebody.” From then on, Danica was like, “I want to meet Justin. I want to thank him. He really did change my life. It happened for the girls in the movie.”  So of course, everyone’s first thought was, “You can’t just get up and say you want to meet Justin. That’s not as easy as you think, you know. How are you going to do that?” That’s when I made my Twitter account. Danica had no idea I even had a Twitter and what my username was. When Justin followed me, I couldn’t keep it a secret.  I had to tell her.  A  month later,  I uploaded the JBmeetDanica video with Danica’s story. I want to say: I didn’t make it because she was sick. I explained everything in the video, but I was trying to explain why Danica’s dream is what it is. I uploaded that video, and I had no idea of what would happen. I started tweeting the video all over Twitter.  Then, I tweeted it to Adam Braun, and I woke up with a DM from him the next morning saying, “Good Job. I like it.” I was like freaking out. It also caught the attention of Michael Vargas, Dom (@radlife), Justin Alavi (@OtherJustin), Kuk Harrell and Mama Jan. 2012 was crazy. Justin had re-tweeted me twice, and both times, I didn’t even mention him. In August, Justin had a contest for his newest book ‘Just Getting Started,’ and I literally only tweeted “A” 7 times, choosing which picture I liked best. The next night, Justin tweeted “I’m about to announce the winners.” I got a tweet to my phone with my username and 9 others. I read it so fast, I honestly thought it was one of those F4F tweets. A week later we got the signed book in the mail, and we cried. He signed it with his full name, not just JB! #JBmeetDanica also trended for the first time that month, and it was INSANE, I couldn’t believe it!  Then the countdown to Believe Tour had started and we didn’t have tickets to any shows because we couldn’t afford them . Louisville was 5 hours away so we convinced our parents to make the drive and hope for the best. We ended up being blessed with floor seats from one of the crew members. We can’t say who, but if he reads this, THANK YOU for being such a blessing in our lives! We didn’t get to meet Justin that night but the show was INCREDIBLE! I saw KENNY! I had jumped over chairs and everything to get to him because I just really wanted to hug him and see his beautiful smile. The show started and we felt like we were on top of the world. Justin just made us so happy. We couldn’t believe we were seeing him LIVE in person. Fast forwarding again, we counted down the days to Nashville, and again, we had no tickets because we couldn’t afford them. The week of the show, this is where our video above begins. Justin , if you’re reading this, THANK YOU for EVERYTHING. Thank you for being the inspiration that you are, changing our lives and inspiring Danica to keep fighting when she felt like she was at rock bottom. Thank you for insuring her that she was born to be somebody even if she loses all of her hair. Thank you for being so sweet in the M&G when our moment finally came. You always say, “I like that I can make them smile and forget about everything even it’s just for a few moments.” That’s what you did for Danica. I’ve never seen her smile as big as she smiled when she was in your arms. We just want you to know that we are so proud of you. You deserve to be where you are today, and we’re so incredibly proud. Last but not least, we appreciate you! You don’t always get the appreciation you deserve. Sometimes all of you hard work and dedication is taken for granted. We love you, we’re proud of you, and we truly appreciate you.   Alfredo , if you ever read this, we tried to meet you twice, and unfortunately failed. We even had gifts for you: a “Swerve”/”Beastmode” beanie. Hopefully someday, we can finally meet, give you our gift, and get a crazy cute picture like we’ve always wanted. Scooter , we hate that we didn’t get to meet you. You always say, “It’s the siblings that inspire me,” so I’m hoping one day, I will finally get the chance to meet you and talk to you. Thank you for always being so positive! Thank you to everyone who was a part of making this happen! We will never be able to express how much this means to us! I finally got to see Danica smile in the arms of her inspiration. My name is Laura, I’m from Germany and on November 28th my dream…

My name is Laura, I’m from Germany and on November 28th my dream came true. When I became a belieber back in 2010, I promised myself something. If I would ever meet Justin Bieber, I would write my own Bieber experience . I never thought this would really happen but it did. It was mid-October when I heard about a competition by a German radio station. You could win a trip to NYC for 3 days and tickets for Justin’s concert at Madison Square Garden. All you had to do was somehow get your dad to sing a song of Justin’s. First on the radio, and if then enough people voted for you, in front of a crowd. I clicked sign but I didn’t really think we had good chances. You have to know that my dad doesn’t speak english at all and actually, he can’t sing. But whatever, it was worth a try. My dad was very scared but he did it for me. I’m very thankful for that. Then the unexpected happened. My dad and four others made it to the final round. I was so proud and happy but at the same time so scared because I knew the others were way better. We drove to that club where my dad had to sing in front of this crowd. I was with him on stage and after the others had sung, I didn’t get my hopes up too high. But then they said our names! We were flying to New York to see Justin! Omg, could this get any better? Yes it could. The day we left for New York, the reporter from the station who went with us said he had a surprise for me. He asked me how close I want to get to Justin. Then he said that I would also be meeting Justin! I almost died! This was unbelievable for me. I was so so happy. Finally November 28th came. What would I wear? What would I say? Was Justin going to like me? We had to be inside MSG at 3 p.m. I think you guys know how meet & greet looks like. We stood in line waiting, it was the reporter, my mom and I. I handed my letter for Justin to one of the security guards. He pinky promised me to really give it to Justin. Scooter appeared and first, I wasn’t sure if it was really him. I mean this just felt so unreal. But it really was Scooter Braun and I hugged him, he’s so nice. Then the moment I had waited almost 3 years for, was so close. I was the first to enter the room. There he stood. Justin Drew bieber – my idol, my inspiration, the one I truly look up to. Justin smiled and immediately hugged me. He was so sweet and kind. I thanked him and said that I’m from Germany. He was like, “Wow all the way for me? Thank you!” I was so happy. I stood next to him while they were taking the picture. Then it was over. His security yelled, “Done, go!” I turned around once again. “I love you Justin!” I said. He looked me in the eyes and smiled and answered, “Love you too.” I was and I still am the happiest girl in the world! Then the tears streamed down my face. This is such an awesome feeling. We still had about an hour left until the concert and we went to our seats. The whole venue was sold out in 30 seconds and I was there. The show was perfect. Justin put so much into this whole thing and to say I’m proud is an understatement. This was the best night of life. I can’t say this enough but dreams come true, they really do. It’s so worth believing. I’m very blessed and I’m thankful. To everyone reading this who hasn’t met Justin yet, don’t give up. Never say never! -@mrs_laura_ Continued here: My name is Laura, I’m from Germany and on November 28th my dream…

Chit-Chatter: A$AP Rocky Throws Some Shade At Weezy’s Skinny Jean Skaterboy Swag And Says He Inspires Kanye

Rapper A$AP Rocky Says He Dislikes Lil Wayne’s Fashion And Inspires Kanye West Hip-hop trailblazer A$AP Rocky usually makes most of his noise from behind the mic, but he’s been making a few waves this year and he seems to be getting more and more comfortable giving his 2 cents and owning his celebrity status. The Harlem-born emcee recently chatted it up over at Hip Hop DX about his fellow rappers Kanye and Weezy and their suspect fashion choices and how he fits into the mix. via Hip Hop DX “I hate the way Lil Wayne dresses sometimes,” Rocky said. “The lime green Ugg boot thing? I didn’t like that but that’s his style. There’s people who probably hate the way I dress – not a lot – but a few people might hate the way I dress. That’s my style. At the end of the day, I’m not judging. They asked me my opinion, how I felt, and all I gave them was my feedback. He’s got way more money than me, way more successful so I can’t say nothing bad about him.” He continued with fashion, saying that the inspiration between Kanye West and him has to be mutual. “Kanye inspires me. There’s no way in hell you could tell me that I don’t inspire Kanye. Everybody, as an artist, could look at it as competition but it’s just clothes.” No love for Wayne and his jeggings….not that he seems to care though…

For Discussion: Is Amber Rose Really The New Wifey Standard?

Is Amber Rose what all men really want? We’ve got to ask, because clearly Kanye loved the isht out of her. And now that Wiz has wifed her all the way up, fools are taking to the internet to proclaim the glories of her as a girlfriend. We happened to stumble upon an essay on Single Black Male dedicated to all the reasons why one particular fanboy has become an Amber Rose devotee and we thought we’d share some excerpts: Amber Rose however was unique because she possesses a very particular set of skills; skills she has acquired over a very long career. Skills that make her a nightmare for mediocre people. That skill is elevating her man to new heights. I mean think about it, Kanye West went from 808s and Heartbreak to Dark Fantasy. He went from Top 10 to a discussion of ‘Could Kanye actually be the best in the game right now?’ Eventually, they broke up and Amber went on to date Wiz Khalifa. I’m not sure if you know this but Wiz Khalifa didn’t really have all the cards working in his favor from jump. But with the power of Amber Rose, you can’t tell him isht. And that’s what every man needs in his life. A woman who makes him feel like on any given day, you can’t tell him isht. It’s not about Amber Rose and her pretty pregnant ass, it’s about what she represents. Now let’s break this down into five very key points about Amber Rose and why I think she is super awesome. 1. She’s cool with her man’s friends. 2. She supports! 3. She’s beautiful, knows it, but doesn’t let it define her. 4. She doesn’t really care what other people say about her. 5. The people closest to her all say great things about her. Not all of us will be able to meet a model chick, who looks awesome in low top Chucks, who doesn’t have a problem sending sexts (with attachments), who digs strip clubs, will roll up even though she doesn’t partake, and who can transform a career from Dark Horse to Seabiscuit, but we can dream. Some of us are living that dream, by the way. A lot of times men look for all the wrong things in a woman. They will stay in a bad situation just because of cute face and slim waist, but it’s the intangibles that make it work. It’s those intangibles that some women think are optional or “nice to have” that really get the job done. For that reason, and that reason only, that is the inspiration and mantra behind, In Search of Amber Rose. While we’d beg to differ with some of these points, clearly this guy is serious, so we had to ask — guys, how many of you feel this way? Do all men agree that Amber Rose has some ideal traits? And while you’re here ladies, do you think this guy is off his rocker or do you think that women can all learn something from Amber as well? Please Discuss!

My name is Madison, I’m 16 years old, and on October 6th…

Here is the original post:

My name is Madison, I’m 16 years old, and on October 6th in Oakland, California, I met Justin Bieber. Did I just write that? I still can’t fathom that it actually happened to me. I have entered so many contests, called so many radio stations, and waited in lines for hours just to have the possibility of seeing Justin. Here is the story of how my dreams came true. The day that Justin Bieber announced that Believe tour tickets were going on sale, I ran to my parents and begged them to do everything they could to get tickets. I saw the option of getting meet and greet tickets on the website, but I knew it would be practically an impossibility to get those tickets. Justin’s concert tickets sell out in a matter of minutes. What were the chances that my parents would be able to get the tickets in time? My dad is a junior high school teacher, and the Believe tour tickets were going on sale during a short recess break. It was a Thursday when the tickets went on sale. I ran to my dad’s classroom when recess started. I was praying that I would go into the room, he would scream and say “YOU’RE MEETING JUSTIN BIEBER!!!” But that didn’t happen. In fact, with a defeated look on his face, he told me it was going to be nearly impossible to get tickets. Understanding, but still disappointed, I started walking out of my dad’s classroom when he shouted, “Make sure you turn in the form that I signed for your field trip, I’ll give the form to your teacher during PE! Ohh, and about the Justin Bieber tickets, Miracles happen, Madison!” I shrugged that comment off, too disappointed to acknowledge it. The rest of the school day, I was dreaming about what I would do if I met Justin Bieber. I dreamed about what I would say and what he would say back to me. I kept growing sadder and sadder as the day went on, and I realized that I was dreaming for nothing. What was the point of dreaming about meeting Justin Bieber when it wasn’t going to happen anyways? The day dragged on until it was finally the last class of the day. High school PE. We were playing softball. I wasn’t very good but that’s beside the point. Just as the class was ending, an envelope was delivered to my PE teacher. It had my name on it, I knew what was in the envelope. My dad had told me earlier that he was going to give my field trip form to my teacher . I hastily grabbed the envelope. We were walking back to the girls locker room, envelope in one hand, softball bat in the other. One of my friends, Alexi, said “Maddy, what if the envelope had meet and greet tickets inside?” I laughed and said, “Yah, right! The tickets have definitely sold out already.” Alexi asked me, “Okay Maddy, then can I open the envelope?” “Sure go ahead, all that’s in the envelope is a field trip form,” I responded. Alexi shrugged and ripped open the envelope. I will never forget that moment. She screamed so loud, with the biggest smile on her face and I knew that scream could only mean one thing. The envelope had the tickets inside. In complete and utter shock, I threw the softball bat across the field, and started crying. We jumped up and down screaming and hugging each other. Alexi yelled “Look it’s second row, and YOU’RE MEETING HIM MADDY!” When I got home, I ran to my parents and my dad smiling told me, “Remember what I told you, miracles happen!” It was a long four months that I waited until the day of the concert. When we finally got to the concert, my mom and I waited in the meet and greet line for twenty minutes. Those were the longest twenty minutes of my life. I kept rehearsing to my mom what I was going to say. I practically had a speech memorized for Justin. Finally, the black curtain that he was hiding behind was opened, and I looked at Justin Bieber face to face. I mustered, “Hi Justin! I love you so much! You are my inspiration.” (The whole speech I had planned was completely erased from my memory as soon as I saw him). He smiled the most perfect smile and said “Awww sweetie! I love you so much too! CAN I HAVE A HUG?” HE. ASKED. ME. IF I. COULD. HAVE. A. HUG. We hugged for a good 5 seconds, which by the way was complete heaven, and then we took a picture. I walked away from him, and it was all over. As soon as I stepped out of the meet and greet room, I started sobbing. I was crying because I felt so incredibly blessed that out of all the girls who dream of meeting Justin Bieber, it happened to me . Please, don’t forget that miracles do happen.
