Sexists, Pervs And Racists: Luenell BLASTS Lionsgate For Slighting Her, Kevin Hart, Katt Williams, Tiffany Haddish And Nick Cannon

(Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) Luenell Gives Her Take On What’s REALLY Wrong With Black Comedy Comedy veteran Luenell is giving her take in this comedy beef , and she wants everyone to know their true enemy! Recently, things got intense when Kevin Hart went HARD on Katt Williams  for shadingTiffany Haddish in an interview (to big up other Black women in comedy). Luenell thinks they should ALL stop beefing, because it’s the studios not giving Black comedians — especially Black funny women, opportunities. Luenell says that she, Kevin Hart, Katt Williams, Mike Epps and Tiffany Haddish all starred in a movie called “School Dance”, written and produced by Nick Cannon and Lionsgate PLAYED them all. The movie was never released in theaters, because Lionsgate was finicky. Also, the actors were NEVER PAID. Let’s fix this bullsh*t & quit playin’ b 4 somebody get Hurt around this b*tch! Actually we ALL got f**ked on This deal, Nick included. This should have been released n theaters All Across the Country! A Blockbuster is what it would have been but Nooooooo, Lionsgate dropped the ball, didn’t have Faith n us, this project and NOBODY got paid! F we’re going to fight let’s fight with the motherf**kers who go up in us on a regular basis! The damn Anglo, Male, Pervy, Sexist, Racist STUDIOS not each Other! F we r going to b*tch and point fingers, let’s point them n the right direction! I’m not Scared, maybe everybody Else is but not This Oakland bred bitch! Now, as my friend Peacock says, “Let THAT b the reason”. “School Dance” sounds like a good movie, with a funny, stack cast — right?!! Lionsgate is super shady…smh. Yesterday, we exclusively reported Leslie Jones’ take on this feud in Black comedy , and she said “both Kevin and Katt was the same to women like all these ni**as in this game. Sh*tty. and still is. Women have never had it good.” Hopefully this conversation surrounding Black women in comedy reaches the right parties! What is your take on what Luenell has to say on the issue versus Leslie’s thoughts?

Tell ‘Em How You REALLY Feel? Daz Dillinger Celebrates Suge Knight’s 28 Year Prison Sentence, “Death Row Over HAHA!”

Image via Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images/Scott Dudelson/Getty Images Daz Dillinger Celebrates Suge Knight’s 28-Year Prison Sentence Yesterday, news broke that Suge Knight plead guilty to the manslaughter of Terry Carter following the now-infamous argument on the set of Straight Outta Compton . Suge wasn’t exactly Mr. Congeniality within the music industry and he accumulated more enemies than friends during his tenure as the CEO and founder of Death Row Records. One such enemy is Tha Dogg Pound’s Daz Dillinger. Daz couldn’t possibly have been more jovial at the news that his former boss will sit behind bars for what is presumably the rest of his natural life. The rapper/producer took to Instagram to blow some celebratory kush in the air and sprinkled a pinch of salt Suge’s wound and even mocked his family. Sounds like Daz hasn’t been as forgiving of Suge like Snoop Dogg has. The beef never dies.

I Wore Shorts For The First Time In 10 Years And No One Died

Go here to read the rest:

….It might have been longer than ten years, to be honest. It’s been that long that I can’t even remember the last time. I became imprisoned in my body by the false standards of beauty highlighted by Western culture. My thighs have always been thick. Pencil skirts ride up on my hips and my jean shorts and pants always wear in the thigh area. Shorts never have “space” when I wear them. You know what I mean: when you see them in magazines and advertisements and the thighs don’t take up all the space. Jean shorts always look like biker shorts on me. Always. I went to New Orleans and y’all it was hot. It’s been my summer of body liberation, where I’ve decided I’m not hiding parts of my body that I don’t like and rather embracing them. It was too hot for jeans and even too hot for a skirt. My wardrobe was limited because I had only what I packed. I had some Black biker shorts. I took them out of my suitcase and put them on. I had to fight the voice in my head that said, “You’re thighs are too big to wear these shorts.” I put them on and went about my day. …and you know what? Nobody died. Nobody stared. It was about more than wearing shorts. It was about seeing myself as beautiful and challenging the world to meet me where I am at, vs the reverse. It was about all the women who enslave themselves to a mirror based on the ideals of men and society. There is a dangerous privilege within the plus size and body positive community where we praise and uplift specific bodies within our community. You can be fat, but only with a flat stomach. Thicc is only defined as hourglass. Yes to being a size 18, but you better not display any cellulite. If your arms are heavy, you are imprisoned to 3/4th’s tops. To me, this is equally dangering to the female psyche as feminism can be to Black women due to the divide. Body liberation is a process and one that I have spent the summer diligently working toward. I’m working towards being a woman made woman vs a man-made woman. And it started with shorts. Fresh Prince Of Moves: The Best Videos From The #ICarlton Dance Challenge

More:

Source: NBC / Getty Can you believe that Carlton, er, Alfonso Ribeiro turns 47 years old today?   It seems like just yesterday we were laughing out loud at him as Will Smith ‘s corny, bougie cousin on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air — well, for some it was yesterday.   Alfonso has been in the business since he was a kid, but his role as Carlton Banks is what he’ll forever be remembered by.   He played Carlton so well that that’s pretty much all the younger generation knows him as, thanks to his infamous “Carlton Dance.” The Williams Family dance crew loves Carlton Banks so much that they kicked off a whole dance challenge in honor of him, called the #ICarlton Challenge. They killed it! And pretty soon, the rest of the dance world caught on. Like Fresh The Clowns crew.   Even moms in dance class took on the hip hop challenge. Not bad for ladies with babies in their arms.   It hit Korea too.   And it made the news.   But according to Instagramer Anti , he’s the creator of the #ICarlton song and challenge and wants the world to put some respeck on ’em. He even made a music video for it.   Anti may have created the song, but no word on who actually started the dance challenge. It’s still poppin all over the world now though.   We all know that once Wiz The Kid gets a whole of it, issa wrap for the rest of the dance world.   Hit the flip to check out more. via GIPHY

Kanye West’s Criticism Of Twitter Could Lead CEO To Change Follower Feature

Sometimes Kanye West goes on rants and sounds like a complete loon – other times he does it and he actually makes a little since. I think I’m riding with this last one, check it out! Via | HotNewHipHop Kanye West shares a text message conversation with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. Earlier today,  Kanye West   shared his thoughts  on how society values follower counts and social media. “We should be able to participate in social media without having to show how many followers or likes we have,” he wrote on Twitter. “Just like how we can turn off the comments we should be able to turn off the display of followers. This has an intense negative impact on our self worth.”  While Kanye’s known for spewing out whatever is on his mind through social media, it looks like his latest idea may lead to some change on the social media platform. Michael B. Jordan Is The New Face Of Coach Menswear

Paras Griffin/Getty Images for Essence Michael B. Jordan Is Now The Face Of Coach Menswear Talk about having a good year. Following the company’s success during Coach’s partnership with actress and singer Selena Gomez, the brand has just announced that  Michael B. Jordan  will be the new face of menswear. The Black Panther , Creed , and Fahrenheit 451  actor will not only represent the brand, but is also designing his very own capsule collection in the future. He is set to meet with creative director Stuart Vevers next month to begin brainstorming ideas for his own designs. Before designing some pieces of his own, though, Jordan is now appearing in advertising campaigns for the brand’s men’s ready-to-wear, accessories, and fragrances–beginning with the new spring 2019 season. “I liked what Stuart was doing so we decided to move forward with me being the face of the brand,” the 31-year-old told  WWD . When he was asked about his personal style, Michael said that he feels just as comfortable in a “very pristine” suit as he does in streetwear, but in the end, he spends more time thinking about the roles that he plays. “As an actor, I’m always putting on somebody else’s shoes and becoming someone else,” he explained. To go along with that, Jordan said that he keeps his stylist busy since he’s constantly gaining muscle mass and then slimming down thanks to roles like Creed . As for what we can expect from Jordan’s own designs, he’s not letting anything slip. When the actor was asked to name an athlete or fellow celebrity whose looks inspire him he responded, “There are a lot of people whose style I like, but I wouldn’t want to dress like them.” So it looks like we’ll just have to wait and see what his capsule collection entails once it hits stores. Congrats to MBJ on the big moves!

A Lil Positivity: J. Cole’s Dreamville Nonprofit Just Launched A Hurricane Florence Relief Fund

Photo by Tabatha Fireman/Getty Images J. Cole Starts Hurricane Relief Fund Following record-breaking rainfall, flooding rivers, and mass power outages wrought by Hurricane Florence–which made landfall in North Carolina last Friday, September 14– J. Cole  has just launched a storm relief fund through his nonprofit, Dreamville Foundation. The foundation is currently soliciting donations on its website and is set to target its relief efforts in Cole’s hometown of Fayetteville, N.C. Mandatory evacuations have impacted thousands of households, who were ordered along the Cape Fear River, which runs through the city and remains in major flood status, according to the National Weather Service. The  Fayetteville Observer  has reported that three deaths in the city’s surrounding Cumberland County may be attributed to Florence. “The Dreamville Foundation is looking to lend a helping hand to the community, children, and families affected by Hurricane Florence,” reads the announcement from the fund. “There will be hot food stations placed throughout the city, temporary housing options for families, and stocking of food pantries/shelters, as well as supporting other local non profits who help provide services for the people in Fayetteville.” The rapper is currently traveling through North America on his K.O.D. Tour. His first ever Dreamville Festival was scheduled to take place in his hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina earlier this month, but was cancelled due to safety concerns related to the storm. Before the event was forced to be cancelled, a portion of proceeds from the festival were intended to benefit Cole’s nonprofit. Those who want to contribute to the cause can donate to J. Cole’s Hurricane Florence relief fund on the Dreamville Foundation website, here .
