Source: Gotham / Getty No matter what type of skin you have, somewhere along the line you’ve dealt with redness. Maybe from sun exposure or irritation, but we can all agree that it can be a pain to get rid of. And it always seems to come at the worse time from when you have a hot date planned or in Winnie Harlow ‘s case a fashion event to attend. Now, the model is keeping redness to the curb with a non-conventional method that actually works (we are actually quite surprised). In honor of New York Fashion Week , the beauty filmed her makeup routine with Vogue to give fans a glimpse on how the superstar gets ready for a night out. During the video, she shared the tricks she uses on her vitiligo skin patches , including Visine eye drops that she says helps to keep her redness at bay. “They make your eyes really white but they don’t burn like a lot of eyedrops tend to do,” Winnie says while placing Visine drops into the sides of her eyes. “Sometimes too what I like to do is use Visine eye drops on the white parts of my skin to take the redness out.”She then proceeds to rub the drops into the white parts of her skin caused by vitiligo. “I have really bad allergies so I always have Visine on me anyway,” she explains. “I thought if it whitens my eyes, wouldn’t it whiten my skin? And I tried it and it does.” Vitiligo is a skin condition where pigment-producing cells die or stop functioning causing whitish patches to develop on the skin. Millions of people all over the world are living with this condition that affects different areas of the body including skin, hair and the retina. Before applying the Visine to her skin, Winnie first cleansed her skin with a homemade mask consisting of manuka honey, apple cider vinegar and Amazon’s top-selling skincare product, the Aztec Secret Healing Indian Clay. The result, gorgeous glowing skin that we would have never known to have redness. Intrigued? Check out Winnie’s Vogue makeup tutorial below to learn some new tips and tricks! For those of you who are not sure the awesome, talented rapper, Rapsody, she is one of the faces of RocNation. Throughout the last seven years, she has dropped three albums; her latest album dropped August 23, 2019, titled ‘Eve’. The album was very sought out. She stressed the importance of how we need to learn more about these powerful black women and what they embody; if fans aren’t already informed on. We wished that we could be shocked, but Amber Portwood has not been fired by MTV. But her troubles aren’t over, yet. As she reels from the scandal after fans heard Andrew Glennon’s harrowing audio of her abuse , Andrew’s priorities lie elsewhere. He’s doting on his precious son, James, and gushing over his little boy on social media. Fans are eating it up. Andrew Glennon took to Instagram to sharea pair of fun, adoring photos of him and baby James. “The Bubbs. :)” James begins his sweet caption, including a smiley face emoticon. He praises his baby boy as the “most curious and loving man I know.” A curious baby is a very good sign about his intelligence and development! “Able to reverse engineer anything,” Andrew announces. “And leave it a mess in a single bound.” Andrew wasn’t the only one handing out compliments and praise. One follower congratulated him for remaining steadfast in the face of horror, abuse, and uncertainty. “I admire you for your ability to stand up against how you’ve been treated,” the comment begins. “You’re teaching your son very important lessons,” the fan praises. “And,” the follower concludes. “I know he will grow up to see you as his hero. Good job daddy!” In this day and age, “daddy” is probably not what you want to call a man on the internet unless you really, really mean it. “Such a great papa!” cheers another follower. That same fan continues: “Great to see a beautiful baby with a even better single dad!” “Your (sic) doing a great job raising James,” praises another. The comment suggests: “just dont let him forget about his sister Leah.” The follower advises: “keep in contact with her and her parents Gary and Kristina, she seems to love him dearly” That last followr’s advise was so good and well-intentioned that Andrew responded. “Spoke with Gary,” Andrew announced. “And planning a baby James visit with him, Kristina, Emmy, and Leah soon,” he revealed. Andrew adds: “Just need to pick a day.” Oh, that is both wonderful and exciting. Amber does not have custody of Leah, of course. As fans are hopeful that James will similarly be protected by the time that this ugly business is over, it’s good to remember that they’re siblings. Different dads does not make James and Leah non-siblings. They’re just half-siblings — which is emotionally the same as siblings, folks. And the fact that the person they have in common happens to be a truly terrible mother also does not matter. James and Leah should be in each other’s lives, and it’s wonderful that both Gary and Andrew are taking the steps to ensure that. Despite the evidence that suggests that Amber was verbally and physically abusive towards Andrew, some fans have stood by her. These fans tend to make arguments along the lines of how Andrew must have manipulated her to get her to behave that way. That sounds awfully close to cries of “she shouldn’t have made me mad” that countless of abusers have used as an excuse. Folks, no amount of “manipulation,” even if it were real, could excuse domestic violence. We hope that Amber’s children continue to remain safe from the toxic environment that follows her wherever she goes. Everyone should know by now that what happens in Vegas, never ever stays in Vegas. And as for Mike Johnson and Tayshia Adams, who are Bachelor Nation fan-favorites, they definitely should’ve known better. But here we are, with new developing drama for a show that ended a week ago. Don’t get us wrong, we aren’t complaining and we know you want the tea, so here we go. Last Friday, Mike and Tayshia attended the iHeartMusic Festival in Las Vegas along with fellow BiP contestants Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes. *side note: Dean and Caelynn are dating, yet they don’t even follow each other on Instagram. It’s the small things that keep one up at night.* Ex-Bachelor Ben Higgins was also there with his non-famous GF Jessica Clarke. And for those wondering, and I know you are, the answer is no. Demi Lovato and John Paul Jones, who are currently dating Mike and Tayshia, were not in attendance at Friday night’s event. Above is a photo of Mike and Tayshia from that evening, and though it is blurry, eyewitnesses claim that the details of the night were actually very clear and that the two danced the night away in the VIP area. And occasionally, the two even embraced. Of course, friends are allowed to dance and hug each other, but what makes this whole story suspicious is that Tayshia has already been accused by Reality Steve of faking her relationship with John Paul Jones. *MAJOR Spit-take*. John Paul Jones and Tayshia, in my opinion, stole the show on this season of BiP with their goofy, fun-loving, and passionate love story. And now Reality Steve is out here ruining my day. In response to the spoiler king, who said, “Tayshia and JPJ are not together anymore,” Tayshia fired, “Guess what… he’s wrong!” (Long live TAYPJ!) Meanwhile in Vegas, while Mike wasn’t busy dancing up on Tayshia, he was telling E! News that Demi [Lovato] is the only woman he’s dating at the moment. “It’s just Demi. That’s the only person I’m talking to,” he said. “I’m just getting to know Demi. I think she’s absolutely fantastic and I don’t want no pressure on her, no pressure on me, we’re just trying to get to know each other. That’s all.” Interesting… So, Mike is very casually talking to Demi , and Tayshia may or may not actually be dating JPJ?? We have so many questions about Stagecoach round 2. But apparently, sources recently dished to E! that Tayshia and Mike are NOT dating and that she is still happy with John Paul Jones. “Tayshia and John Paul Jones are still together,” said the source. “Tayshia and Mike hung out in Las Vegas during the iHeartRadio music festival, but they were always with a bunch of stars from Bachelor Nation.” “They were chummy and getting along but not flirting,” spilled the insider. Ok cool, yeah…I’m still not entirely convinced. Looks like this is yet another case for the FBI, folks! View Slideshow: The Bachelor Season 24: Meet the Women! Already!
I know a lot of brands use this bitch Olivia Culpo …but I wonder if they are genuinely hyped on her, like they think her audience, followers, content is just that revolutionary and amazing that they throw money at her… Or do they see her like the rest of us see her…as a do nothing whore who fucks athletes and celebs to get ahead. It is the traditional girl approach to getting where she wants to go. Dating strategically. Using the pussy strategically but not playing it up like a gutter trash stripper or sex worker cuz they don’t get the big paydays. …so they do it luxury so that they johns are of a certain level of quality.. Maybe the brand dudes who hire her, the CEOs and money think she’s hot, or maybe she fucked their favorite football player so they can’t help but think she’s fucking awesome, these dudes are blinded by the hype…or maybe they like knowing that if played right she’ll fuck them… I don’t have the answers and sure don’t know why Olivia Culpo is a thing, but maybe this ass flash video of her getting ready for some event that is theoretically too high profile for a sex worker, gives you some insight into her existence and why it is in existence… JOIN THE NEWSLETTER YOU ASSHOLES! Source: Steven Ferdman / Getty Hustlers is officially in theaters! With a diverse star-studded cast that includes Jennifer Lopez , Constance Wu , Lili Reinhart , Keke Palmer , and introduces Cardi B and Lizzo to the big screen, you’ll surely be entertained! The true epitome of the saying, “Art imitates life,” Cardi B gives us a taste of her past as a stripper in this role. Her character, Diamond, hails from The Bronx, is quick-witted and never passes up on an opportunity to tell it like it is (lol). Also, we have to mention how radiant her skin looks on screen! Sporting a chic glow, we couldn’t help but wonder how the rapper was able to achieve the look. According to Refinery29 , all the credit goes to Cardi B’s go-to stylist Erika La Pearl! She tells the publication that she relyed on the Pond’s Nourishing Moisturizing Cream ($7.49, riteaid.com ) to give Cardi a natural, yet radiant glow. “It keeps the body hydrated but not too greasy or oily,” she tells Refinery29. In an effort to give Cardi’s skin an illuminating finish, she followed up with MAC’s Iridescent Powder in Golden Bronze to make her glisten. “I applied a lot of this all over her body with a brush, so when the set lights hit, her skin would be like bam !” She continued, “Cardi was very laid-back and trusted me to create her look for Hustlers, ” Erika says. “We had only one day to film all of her scenes, so she came in, closed her eyes, and let me get to work.” Erika has never missed a beat when it comes to creating a flawless face for the star, so it’s no surprise that the rapper brought her along for her on-screen debut. While it’s easy to think that celebrity MUA’s utilize high-priced beauty products to create beauty looks, this proves yet again that you can use drug store items to create a head-turning look! The fact that the Pond’s Nourishing Mositurizing Cream is under $8.00 makes this an affordable find we all need to add in our beauty arsenals. Specially formulated to nourish the skin for up to 24 hours without clogging your pores, it truly doesn’t get any better than this! Will you be picking up the Pond’s Nourishing Moisturizing Cream? Source: SOPA Images / Getty Oh H&M . The Swedish based company is back under fire again after an ad appeared online with a young Black girl’s natural hair looking unkempt. The disheveled ad was blasted by celebrity hairstylist Vernon François , who shared the photo on Instagram and noted that he sees “situations like this happen time and time again. And it’s got to stop.” “It’s essential that we have a conversation about this photograph from the @hm_kids campaign,” François wrote. ” Before I begin, I do not have the facts, nor have I seen any statement by #H&M or the team who worked on this. This post is just an assessment based on all my years of seeing situations like this happen time and time again. And its got to stop. This beautiful young girl’s #kinky hair appears to have had very little to no attention yet all of her counterparts have clearly sat in front of someone who was more than capable of styling other hair textures. My heart breaks imagining yet another girl from my community” View this post on Instagram It’s essential that we have a conversation about this photograph from the @hm_kids campaign. Before I begin, I do not have the facts, nor have I seen any statement by #H&M or the team who worked on this. This post is just an assessment based on all my years of seeing situations like this happen time and time again. And its got to stop. This beautiful young girl’s #kinky hair appears to have had very little to no attention yet all of her counterparts have clearly sat in front of someone who was more then capable of styling other hair textures. My heart breaks imagining yet another girl from my community sitting in front of a mirror being ignored by the team around her, left to her own devices because someone didn’t know how to handle her texture. As if that’s not bad enough…. Prior to this campaign appearing this photograph will have been seen and APPROVED by countless ‘professionals'. Lets say conservatively 50 people. It’s breathtaking to me that not one person looked at this shot and had the same reaction that the internet seems to be feeling since the campaign broke. THAT IS AN ISSUE. We must do better. Our girls, our young women deserve better. Let this be a moment of learning. #Education is key #wehavetodobetter #vernonfrancois #Ignorance #blackgirlmagic #allhairisgoodhair A post shared by Vernon François (@vernonfrancois) on Sep 19, 2019 at 9:33pm PDT Since the outrage, H&M has responded to the backlash but not in a way that you would expect. The discount retail giant revealed that all of the children were photographed the same way and that the idea was to capture them in their natural state after school, which left many to argue that it wasn’t H&M’s fault for the child’s appearance, but the parent’s. “We are aware of the comments regarding one of our models for H&M Kids. We truly believe that all kids should be allowed to be kids. The school-aged kids who model for us come to the photo studio in the afternoon after school and we aim for a natural look which reflects that,” H&M said in a statement to Yahoo . Although the family of the young girl in question has yet to respond, the fact remains that while all of the children in the subsequent ads look tousled, African-Americans have yet to accept and truly embrace 4b and 4c textured hair. Even when you look at our own ads for hair care and promoting the “natural” look, most women chosen have textures that are still very Eurocentric. It’s no secret that women in the natural community have often voiced their disdain over not feeling adequate with their natural textures, due to 3b and 3c being the heavily promoted look-so the question isn’t who’s to blame, it’s are we really being honest about our own feelings regarding textures with tighter coils? As Bustle points out, 4b and 4c hair have long been viewed as the “bad hair grade”, but many had hoped with the explosion of the natural hair movement in the early 2000s that we would rewrite the narrative, but as we can see by our own words during the controversy, we still have a long ways to go. H&M AT IT AGAIN They wrong for that. Where the child mama? I hope she sue them for public humiliation, defamation of character, and discrimination They could had a stylist touch this child hair. Pathetic pic.twitter.com/egxNJza1Sz — Shawda' Love (@Shawdaaaa) September 20, 2019 “There was a period in time that I hated my hair,” Charlene Akuamoah, a stylist said in her interview with the publication . “I thought it was so difficult to manage: It was rough, the curls were too tight, it didn’t look ‘presentable,’ it was always dry, and I felt like I looked better with straight hair. I [thought] that my hair had to be tamed.” Sentiments echoed throughout the complaint of the child’s appearance in the ad. While H&M is undoubtedly tone-deaf regarding race in advertisements, this time the fingers we are pointing should be aimed at the real perpetrators-us. Please people, let’s uplift this little girl! She’s killing her H&M shoots with her natural 4C hair. Lil sis is serving us poses and she looks happy and beautiful #Queenin pic.twitter.com/8z92Gi51rF — insta:msyasmine (@msyasmine_) September 20, 2019 I don't blame h&m, i blame the interwoke folks whos heroes are internet goddesses with 4c buns and TEXTURIZED edges. — ike slimster (@iKeslimster) September 21, 2019 Why y’all keep singling out the one black girl from the H&M ad? ALL the kids’ hairstyles were messed up. How come the other children aren’t getting this backlash? Hair texture got y’all twisting for excuses like pretzels. But anywho- pic.twitter.com/ksludbLayc — Tenille Clarke (@tenilleclarke1) September 20, 2019 There is a little Black girl whose face is floating around the internet who should be celebrating landing a modeling opportunity for H&M right now. Instead she’ll have to see commentary over how her hair should’ve looked better. — Negrita (@HustleAndFro_) September 20, 2019 Hopefully, the reality and exposure of the tainted way we still view our natural selves will help us change the narrative in our own community. Representation matters, especially when you see it loved among the very people you are representing to the world.
Source: Splash / Splash News Earlier this month it was reported that Kanye West had put down a King Kong grip on 4,500 acres of land in Cody,Wyoming where he and Kim Kardashian found themselves harassing innocent wildlife who clearly didn’t sign up for that ish. Still, Kanye West is all about that “love thy neighbor” life these days and decided to throw one of his signature Sunday Service sermons at the Buffalo Bill Center of The West and invited his new neighbors to bare witness to the hottest ticket in town. Needless to say people showed up in droves to turn up and take in the gospel of Yeezus in all it’s musical glory. According to TMZ some 700+ people attended the Sunday gathering at BBCW’s Powwow Garden where aside from the typical Kanye inspired tunes the crowd rocked out to renditions of classic Nirvana songs “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” and “Come As You Are” amongst other joints. Kanye really knows how to endear himself to them white folks in the Midwest. Check out videos of Kanye’s Sunday Service show in Wyoming below and let us know your thoughts.
