After a truly bizarre 2017, singer/actor Tyrese has been relatively quiet this year. He’s managed to limit his social media activity and refrain from beefing with other celebs. This will be the second child for Tyrese, who already has a daughter, 10-year-old Shayla from his first marriage, and the first child for Samantha. Via PEOPLE : A little more than a year after their Valentine’s Day wedding, ‘Fast & Furious’ star Tyrese Gibson and his wife Samantha are expecting a baby girl, they reveal exclusively to PEOPLE. “Both of our love and energy and magic and families are bonded forever because we’re going to have this child,” Gibson, 39, raved in a joint interview with his spouse. “It’s unbelievable.” Samantha, a 29-year-old social worker, learned she was pregnant with their daughter in late January, not long after they began trying to conceive. Minutes after her positive first test — and before she could even plan out a surprise for her husband — Gibson arrived home, and they celebrated together. “It was me screaming and just being overly excited and just fired up about the news,” he says. Friends and family were equally enthusiastic. Samantha and Gibson spread the news with help from a faux movie trailer, which Tyrese narrated, that transitioned partway through into footage from Samantha’s ultrasound. “There was no greater reaction than her mom’s reaction,” Gibson says of his wife. “Samantha is her only daughter, and this has been prayers for years and years, for her to get married and find the right one and start a family.” Now in her second trimester, with their baby due in September, Samantha says she’s been in “full practicing mode” with 10-year-old stepdaughter Shayla, “[whom] I consider mine.” The report goes on to reveal that while Samantha will have the baby in Los Angeles, where they also have a home, they will raise her primarily in Atlanta where they were married. In order to be a Duggar, one must love three things: God, procreation, and Chick-Fil-A. We’re sure the extended version of that list would include things like “America” and “the idea that the Earth is only 6,000 years old and Jesus rode a dinosaur to work,” but it’s those top three that are really non-negotiable. So perhaps it should come as no surprise that one of the first rites of passage for young Duggar males is the traditional Ridiculously Long Hike For Waffle Fries. Yes, it seems 2-year-old Israel Duggar really lived up to his name recently when, like Moses before him, he took a really long walk because a higher power promised him a great reward. Except in Izzy’s case, the authority figure was his mom, Jill Duggar, and the reward was a delicious chicken sandwich. Jill posted the above photo today, along with a caption reading: “Fans are up in arms today over an Instagram post in which Jill revealed that she and her boys trekked for more than an hour to get their hands on some deep-fried goodness. “You know you’re a mom when…you walk 1hr. 10 min with both boys to get to a @chickfila We were enjoying some beautiful Colorado Springs weather while papa was busy with the rest of the team from church!” She added the hashtags: “#chickfilaplayground #longwalk #ThankTheLordWeDidntHaveToWalkBack” So the good news is, the kids had enough energy to avail themselves of the playground when they finally reached their destination, and apparently, the family received a ride back to their hotel. But still, this post leaves us with two major questions: 1. They don’t have Uber in Colorado Springs? and 2. Jill couldn’t have snapped a selfie in which she looks less like La Criticizing Jill’s parenting is one of the internet’s favorite activities, so naturally, Duggar detractors went all in on this post: “The kids are not having fun. Looks like they need hats!!!” wrote one follower . “Shade these boys… looks so hot out and an hour walk? Sheesh… I guess other parents don’t mind.” Another echoed the sentiment, writing: “Walking an hour w/out sun protection for fast food to serve the kiddos, by yourself, near the highway & fuel exhaust & you’re praising your mommy skills? And your fans are praising your mommy skills?” Clearly, what Jill thought was a fun family outing was perceived very differently by many Duggar fans. Frankly, we’re divided on the issue. On the one hand, no one was hurt and we’re sure Jill’s heart was in the right place. On the other hand, couldn’t Jill have just ord ered food? We know money’s probably been tight since Derick Dillard got fired by TLC, but sheesh, maybe be a bit more selective about where to cut corners! There’s a lot of different extravagant things people might think of when it comes to celebrity proposals, especially for someone so obsessed with aesthetics like a fashion designer. You’d probably expect an exotic or fancy location, an orchestra, or anything especially romantic and beautiful. Jacobs’ proposal was a lot less conventional–especially for someone of his stature–but that makes it all the more endearing. Jacobs took his then soon-to-be fiancee to Chipotle, where he had a pre-arranged flashmob surprise waiting for his unassuming partner. The flashmob danced along to Prince’s “Kiss,” right in the middle of the restaurant, which all led up to Marc kneeling down and asking DeFrancesco to marry him. Fortunately for Jacobs, his boyfriend said yes!! This cute moment was captured on video, which Jacobs happily posted on Instagram after the fact. A Chipotle proposal is something most regular folk would never consider for their big moment, so seeing such a big celebrity do something so small makes the couple all the more endearing. Grace told People that once she discovered the dead lizard in her kale, her reaction was “back and forth between denial and horror, which amounted to a lot of asking my boyfriend to see the bag of kale and identify the lizard and shrieking and pushing it away and refusing to go near it…and then asking to see it again.” Grace has already reached out to Trader Joe’s corporate and they said they are investigating the situation further. “We are committed to providing customers with great products of the highest quality and are currently working with our vendor to look into and address the matter,” they said in a statement. Meanwhile, when asked if she would ever eat kale again, Grace replied, “I’m really into spinach now.” We feel you Grace.
I know it’s been a while since I’ve done a new post on Jessica Lowndes , but let’s be honest, there’s a lot of hot Insta-wannabes out there and it’s getting harder and harder to stand out. Plus, I just double-checked and Jessica’s almost 30, which is basically old age for an Insta-model. But the good news is, her body’s still looking good. So I figure she’s got another year or two on her 15 minutes of fame if she keeps this up.
The Teen Mom landscape is absolutely littered with young men who have outlived their purpose as unwitting sperm donors. But for all the franchise’s deadbeat dads and loser boyfriends, perhaps no one has sunk to such appalling depths as Adam Lind. (And yes we’re aware that Ryan Edwards got arrested the same week he got caught cheating on his pregnant wife. Believe it or not, Lind might actually be worse.) Lind has always been an abusive boyfriend and a negligent father, but it’s only over the course of the past year that we learned just how low he’s willing to sink. It all began when Lind tested positive for meth just moments before a scheduled visit with his youngest daughter, Paislee. In the months that followed Lind was arrested several times, on charges ranging from domestic assault to possession to violating a restraining order. These days Lind has lost all visitation rights and is not legally permitted to be in the presence of either of his daughters. But it seems his casual disregard for the law continues unabated, as Radar Online is reporting this week that Lind spent much of Easter weekend with Aubree , his eight-year-old daughter by Chelsea Houska. Sources say Houska was not aware of the situation until afterward and would not have given Lind permission to visit Aubree. “Chelsea let his parents have her for a couple of hours. It wasn’t their time to have her,” a source tells Radar. Adam apparently stopped by his parents’ house unannounced and even went so far as to taunt Chelsea by posting a Snapchat video in which he’s seen hanging out with Aubree. Houska has apparently made it clear to Linds’ parents that by allowing their son to violate the law in their home, they’ve sacrificed the privilege of receiving future visits from their granddaughter: “[Chelsea is] livid and won’t do that anymore. These grandparents haven’t learned a damn thing. [One] can definitely tell where Adam gets the rules and law don’t apply to him attitude.” The insider says that Houska took immediate action and “e-mailed her lawyer to find out what the next step should be” as soon as she learned of Lind’s visit with Aubree. Her attorneys have since reminded Adam’s parents of a clause in their visitation agreement, which reads: “One weekend a month Aubree will be with his parents from Friday to Sunday. Adam may not be present when Aubree is with Donna [Adam’s mom].” Stripping Linds’ parents of visitation rights may sound severe, but Chelsea is no doubt well aware that her daughter’s health and safety hang in the balance. For the most part, Houska is one of the more even-tempered moms on MTV’s flagship reality franchise. But clearly, if you mess with her kids, she will go full mama bear on your ass.
