Beyoncé Wanted Laverne Cox, Viola Davis & Kerry Washington To Be In ‘Lemonade’ Laverne Cox recently revealed some shocking news about Baddie Bey’s Grammys snubbed album. The “Orange Is The New Black Actress” finally got to meet her idol Beyoncé at the awards show… and according to her they should’ve met much sooner. Why? Because she was asked to star in Bey’s Lemonade visual album. Furthermore, she was supposed to star alongside Viola Davis and Kerry Washington in “Sorry” before Serena Williams got the gig. Laverne tells PEOPLE “Actually, Miss Tina [Knowles] contacted me about their initial concept of ‘Sorry’ from Lemonade,” Cox reveals. “They wanted to have all these powerful, empowered black women in the video and they wanted to have me and Viola [Davis] and Kerry [Washington].” According to Laverne, she couldn’t carve out time for the project because she was working on the “Rocky Horror Picture” show. “I was shooting Rocky Horror Picture Show at the time and they were like, ‘Can you get the EP to shoot something and send it to us?’ and there was just no time to do it,” she says. “The concept changed. And could you imagine anyone else? I mean, there was Serena Williams like giving us full life.” It’s no secret that Laverne is a HUGE Bey stan, she recently fangirled on Instagram over her. The ABFF Honors Brings Out Black Hollywood THE 2017 “BET PRESENTS THE AMERICAN BLACK FILM FESTIVAL HONORS” took place on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Comedy queen Regina Hall kept the audience laughing as host of the evening’s festivities. The annual event celebrates Black culture by honoring individuals, movies and television shows that have had a significant impact on American entertainment. Actor and director Denzel Washington was honored with the “Hollywood Legacy Award,” musician and actress Queen Latifah with the “Entertainment Icon Award,” writer, producer and actress Issa Rae with the “Rising Star Award,” film director and producer F. Gary Gray with the “Excellence in the Arts Award” and actor and singer, Terrence Howard with the “Excellence in the Arts Award.” Viola Davis, Common, Pharrell Williams, Lee Daniels, Morris Chestnut, Omari Hardwick and Anika Noni Rose and took the stage as presenters while Maxwell and Dionne Farris performed their hits from the film “Love Jones,” which received the “Classic Cinema Award.” Special appearances by Cecily Tyson, Jay Ellis, Kofi Siroboe, Nia Long, Larenz Tate, Alexandra Shipp, Luke James, Kylie Bunbury and more… ABFF Honors will air on BET on Wednesday, February 22, at 8:00pm EST Hit the flip for more photos from the big night, don’t forget to weigh in on Who Looked More Bangin! Zoe Saldana Reveals She And Husband Now Have Three Sons Zoe Saldana and hubby Marco Perego-Saldana are now the parents of three boys. Zoe shared the news via Instagram. We haven’t seen any signs of Zoe being pregnant, but you know how Hollywood folks like to do stuff — super private. There also don’t appear to be any reports about the couple using a surrogate — yet. The Saldanas were seen leaving Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles on Monday, February 13, with their newborn child, according to US Weekly reports . The couple are already parents to twin boys Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezieo, born in November 2014. What do you think about Zoe’s announcement? Perfectly normal for her to keep this private then make an IG announcement — or nah? The couple called it quits again back in October, and Emily made it clear on social media that she was focusing on herself, her kids, and her future — without Fab being anywhere in the equation. Fab’s been on the scene frequently in the interim, partying it up from New York to Miami with Emily nowhere in sight. But all that changed earlier today, when Fab revealed that he has his eternal girlfriend back in his life once again. The rapper posted a pic of himself and his ride or die posing in the middle of the NYC streets, coupled up for Valentine’s day earlier in the week. Awww, how cute. Then look no further than this incredible little pregnancy announcement: That’s Amanda Diesen and Todd Krieg, a very happy couple — and they’re extra happy now that they’re expecting their first child! The message, that cheeky little “It still works!”, came about because Todd was paralyzed from the chest down after a dirt bike accident a few years ago, and they didn’t think they’d be able to have children without medical intervention. “We thought we’d need to look into devices or doctor visits or maybe even IVF,” Amanda explained in an interview with People. “We definitely didn’t think it would be able to happen naturally!” She continued the explanation with “It’s totally different for anyone with a spinal cord injury. Todd does not feel it when stuff is going on, but is occasionally able to reach climax.” These two crazy kids met in 2015 when Todd visited a paralysis center in California. Amanda worked there as a recovery specialist, and for her, it was love at first sight. “I was first drawn to Todd’s good looks!” she recalled. “I thought he was a total babe.” “I’m also drawn to his sense of humor, and ability to put on a happy face despite the struggles and huge life-changing event he has endured.” Amazing, right? But Amanda isn’t done with her sweet words yet, not by a long shot. “I think that loving someone in Todd’s situation takes a bit more patience and a servant heart,” she said, but if you truly love someone it won’t be any different than if he were up and walking.” “Of course, it’s tough on me sometimes, not being able to stand up and get a hug from the person I love most, or to be able to walk around in public holding hands or go running on the beach together.” “But honestly, the love that Todd and I have for each other is something I wouldn’t trade for the world.” She explained that Todd is “in physical and mental pain every single day” because of his paralysis, and that sometimes it bothers him that she’s able to do things around the house more easily than he can. So much for Selena Gomez and The Weeknd just being a fling. According to a new report, the singers are actually quite serious about each other. Just how serious? Let’s just say that Justin Bieber may not want to scroll down any further in order to find out… An insider tells Life & Style that Gomez is in the process of looking for a new house. But it won’t just be a house for only herself. Oh, no, it will be a house large enough to support multiple occupants.  And one of them will be The Weeknd! “Selena is going to be putting up the money for the house, and she’s going to spare no expense,” the insider tells the tabloid, adding in extreme detail: “They’re looking in Bel Air, Holmby Hills and Malibu. She wants a big backyard where they can host get-togethers with friends, and she’d love a pool so she can go skinny-dipping with Abel.” Man. This unnamed individual must really know Gomez well. Not only is he or she well aware of Selena’s real estate interests, but he or she even knows how badly Gomez wants to swim naked with her new man. Gomez and The Weeknd got together under somewhat controversial circumstances. The latter had dated Bella Hadid for about two years prior to their break-up last year. He then got together with Gomez, but sources claim Selena never told Bella about the romance herself; Hadid had to learn about it through the celebrity gossip grapevine. This was especially hurtful because Bella and Selena are sort of friends. They are both members of Taylor Swift’s Squad. But despite a bit of Instagram shade hurled in her direction by Hadid , Selena is moving full steam ahead with her relationship. It may be too early to hear any wedding bells, but the artists are apparently set to take the next step. “It’s going to be their little love nest,” a source tells Life & Style of the mansion Selena is allegedly set to purchase. Bieber has seem pretty disturbed by his ex-girlfriend moving on in this manner, openly laughing at The Weeknd’s music on Instagram, for example. But Gomez doesn’t care. She’s happier than ever. She and The Weeknd just returned from a vacation to Italy and it sounds like they had a grand time. “Their trip was bomb,” a source told Hollywood Life of their romantic trip abroad. “They saw some historical sights, laughed, and found this cute little chain length fence and put a love lock on it! The Weeknd loves traveling with her and wants to take her to Toronto next and give her a personal tour of his old stomping grounds.” Maybe they can go skinny dipping there! Nick Cannon: Is He Going Totally Insane?

As previously detailed, Nick Cannon recently walked away from his main job. The entertainer quit as America’s Got Talent host because he was angry at producers for the way they reacted to a joke in his stand-up special this month. On stage, Cannon quipped that this gig was great and all… but it did make him worried that someone might take away his “black card” due to the cheesy nature of the NBC reality show. According to Cannon, executives actually thought about firing him for the remark, which led him to resign his post instead. In a lengthy Instagram message explaining his decision, Cannon wrote the following: “I find myself in a dark place having to make a decision that I wish I didn’t have to, but as a man, an artist, and a voice for my community I will not be silenced, controlled or treated like a piece of property.” He went on to castigate “The System,” adding: “There is no amount of money worth my dignity or my integrity.” Sounds pretty admirable, right? The guy left a very well-paying job in order to stand up for his honor. And yet some folks close to Cannon are concerned that the star isn’t strong-willed, he’s just falling off his mental rocker. Shortly after quitting America’s Got Talent, Cannon fired his longtime advisers, including ID-PR publicist Alla Plotkin and ICM Partners agent Chris Smith. Moreover, sources tell The New York Post that Cannon has recently “got really into religion,” donning robes and a turban and sometimes referring to himself as “Rev. Dr. Cannon.” It’s not unusual to find religion later in life, but this Page Six report says Cannon “isn’t attached to a specific religion so much as a general spirituality.” Which still doesn’t seem like a reason to think someone is going insane. However, Cannon – who recently spent several weeks in a hospital for complications related to lupus — spent last weekend posting on social media about depression and pain. To wit: That’s a whole different story. With an influx of memes such as the one above scattered throughout his Instagram page, we can understand why some folks are worried. Cannon’s manager has not responded to The New York Post after it tried to get in contact with him. But Cannon himself seems to be aware of this chatter. He shared the following quote by John Lennon on his social page this week: I think our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we’re being run by maniacs for maniacal ends. I think they’re all insane. But I am liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That’s what is insane about it. Don’t you agree? We guess? We guess we agree? Or maybe we agree with friends who think he is kind of nuts now? What do you think?
