Donald Glover Cast As Lando Calrissian In New Star Wars Movie Donald Glover might be having the best year ever! Lucasfilm just announced today that the critical acclaimed rapper and actor has been cast as Lando Calrissian in the still-untitled Han Solo Star Wars movie. The prequel depicts Lando in his younger years as a mischievous swindler on the rise in the galaxy’s underworld, before the series events involving Han, Leia, and Darth Vader in “ The Empire Strikes Back ” and other iconic movies. “We’re so lucky to have an artist as talented as Donald join us,” said Lord and Miller. “These are big shoes to fill, and an even bigger cape, and this one fits him perfectly, which will save us money on alterations.
