These days, the unfortunately-named Anthony Weiner is better known for his numerous sex scandals than for his political career. Weiner resigned from Congress in 2011 after inadvertently tweeting a sexually explicit photo of himself. In 2013, Weiner returned to the political arena with a failed campaign for mayor of New York City that was cut short when it was revealed that Weiner had been sexting Sydney Leathers, a young woman who went on to tar in an adult film based on her involvement with the disgraced politician. It seems even that incident wasn’t enough to keep the 52-year-old from sending explicit texts and social media messages, and Weiner was caught up in two additional sexting scandals in the past month. While his political career has come to an end, until recently Weiner was married to Huma Abedin, a top aide for Hillary Clinton. Abedin left Weiner after the latest round of revelations, but his name is still linked with the Clinton campaign, and thus, his scandalous private life is still making headlines. And unfortunately for everyone involved, Weiner’s dalliances keeping getting more and more shameful. Back in August, Weiner was caught in yet another sexting scandal after having sent a number of explicit photos (at least one of which showed the former congressman lying in bed next to his young son) were posted by a woman who set out to “catfish” Weiner. Last week, it was revealed that Weiner had been sexting a 15-year-old girl , a move that could land him in serious legal trouble. Page Six consulted with legal experts to find out if Weiner could be facing jail time for the illicit texts. The answer? Some believe that not only is Weiner headed to prison, he latest misdeeds might lead to a new federal law being enacted. “This could be the tip of the iceberg with a minor,” a DC lawyer and former DA who believes Weiner will do time. “This is not the first school girl he wants to see in her uniform.” She added that he’ll almost certainly be facing a civil suit from the girl’s family as well: “This is disgusting and depraved. I would not want to be his lawyer. He is not going to win this case.” As a result of Weiner’s latest scandal, New York State Assembly candidate Dean Hart is calling for a bill to criminalize sexually explicit text messages sent to minors: “When you are an adult you don’t play games with 15-year-old girls . . . This should be illegal and eliminates the difference between images and writing.” Hart added: “This is how he gets his jollies. I thought he needs a shrink … but now [with a minor], they got to make it a crime. “When people drive drunk, they are not permitted to drive a car again, so they should ban him from using cellphones and the Internet.” Others believe Weiner will avoid jail due to the fact that thus far the texts between Weiner and the teen that have surfaced have not featured any explicit photos. Whatever the case, this latest controversy should serve as a decisive nail in the coffin for Weiner’s political career and his marriage.
Ever since the world learned that Angelina Jolie had filed for divorce from Brad Pitt , the tabloid press has been churning out a non-stop string of mostly made-up reasons that the A-list couple decided to part ways. Things started off plausibly enough with various outlets blaming Pitt’s drug use . It wasn’t long, however, before the rumor mill jumped the shark with theories about Angelina cheating with Johnny Depp . The truth seems to be that Angie’s decision to split is related to Brad being investigated for child abuse , but the Internet is still having fun speculating, dammit, and we’re not about to let a little thing like the truth get in the way of some solid gossip! The latest theory comes to us courtesy of TMZ (who, to be fair, has been pretty accurate on all things Brangie up to this point). The site claims that Brad felt Angelina was simply too focused on philanthropy and charity work. Yes, apparently they felt that rumors about Brad physically and verbally abusing his kids weren’t damaging enough to his reputation. So decided to toss “He hates the Third World!” into the mix. According to unnamed sources, Brad felt that Angelina was overly concerned with saving the world, to the detriment of her relationships with her children. The insiders say Pitt felt that Jolie was fully “obsessed with becoming the head of the United Nations” and that her ambition had “caused major marital issues.” It seems that Brad not only felt that Angelina’s commitment to helping citizens of war-torn and impoverished nations was preventing her from spending time with her children, he was also concerned about her traveling with the kids to unsafe regions. Apparently, Jolie recently took her older kids to Lebanon and Iraq. Brad reluctantly signed off on the trip, but he reportedly drew the line when Angelina proposed taking the children to Syria. Obviously, it’s anyone’s guess as to whether that argument really went down, but if there’s any truth to this story, you can count us as squarely Team Brad. The 18-year old uploaded an emotional video on Wednesday night, one that featured her breaking down in tears while talking about online trolls who have made turned her life into a nightmare. “I don't understand how there can be so much hatred in the world right now,” the teenager said. “I've tried sticking up for myself. I've tried the whole blocking the haters thing, not reading the comments, I've tried a lot of things. Ignoring it. “But it's hard.” Jackson, of course, has suffered through a difficult childhood. She lost her famous father at the age of 11 and, let's face it, life with Michael Jackson as your dad was likely its own challenge for a kid. She attempted suicide in 2013 and admitted this summer that she has tattoos on her arms to cover up scars from past instances of self-harm . But Paris did write in June that things are looking up for her. “We all go through hell every now and then but it makes us the warriors of love we were meant to be. So to anyone struggling, it gets better. You're not alone,” she wrote at time. Sadly, things have taken a turn for the worst since then. “When I was 14 I got so much hatred that I tried to kill myself and I took, like, a two-year break from social media and then people asked me to come back, to make my Instagram public again, so I did. And nothing changed!” she says below. “I'm just tired of it. I'm just really, really tired. And, I mean, I know I'm not the only one.” In her video, Jackson actually references Justin Bieber, who deleted his Instagram account in August after bullies hurled hate at his new girlfriend, Sofia Richie . “Justin Bieber went into a downward spiral because everybody that he dates gets so much hate,” Jackson said. “I have known his girlfriend, Sofia, since I was like 12 or 13. She's one of the sweetest girls in the world and people are telling her to kill herself! I mean we're human beings, man! “We got hearts and brains and feelings, and when you say damaging things like that to people, it f–ks 'em up.” Jackson, who deleted the video soon after making it (but this is the Internet, nothing is ever really deleted), ended the footage by apologizing “for the rant” and added: “It's some stuff that I've been holding in for a long time.
