This week, “RapFix Live” will also feature an exclusive interview with T.I. that was conducted before the No Mercy MC was sent to prison last month . I’m coming right off of that and going into my next album.” How did these southern hip-hop stars come together? Why didn’t Banner take on any producing duties on Death of a Pop Star ? What do the two college grads think about President Obama’s performance so far? Ask Banner and 9th Wonder yourself by sending messages via Twitter to @MTVRapFix with the hashtag #rapfixlive or upload video messages to the pair at Your.MTV.com. The duo will sit down with MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway and answer your questions. Oprah Winfrey: Not Even Kind of a Lesbian!

Oprah is not gay. Not even a little bit. The rumors have been following her for years, but the talk show queen has told Barbara Walters in a new interview, flatly, that: “I’m not a lesbian.” “I’m not even kind of a lesbian. And the reason why [ the lesbian rumor ] irritates me is because it means that somebody must think I’m lying.” O, NO YOU DIDN’T : You calling Winfrey a liar? What really steams Winfrey is people insinuating that she’s lied in past denials: “Why would you want to hide it? That is not the way I run my life.” The rumors center around Oprah’s friend Gayle King. Winfrey says that relationship is extremely close, but in a very different way. She says: “She is the mother I never had. She is … the sister everybody would want. She is … the friend everybody deserves. I don’t know a better person.” Oprah got choked up speaking about King. “It’s making me cry because I’m thinking about how much … I probably have never told her. Tissue, please. I now need tissue. I’ve never told her.” The occasion for the interview, airing Thursday night, is the end of her talk show next May and the beginning of OWN, The Oprah Winfrey Network. Winfrey admits how daunting the new project is. “I was very scared,” she says. “I would wake up in the middle of the night literally clutching my chest, like, ‘What have I done? What have I done?’ ”

John Lennon’s Final Interview Published On 30th Anniversary Of His Death

Rolling Stone releases full-length interview conducted three days before Lennon’s death in its year-end issue. By Gil Kaufman John Lennon Photo: Susan Wood/ Getty Images It was 30 years ago today that former Beatle John Lennon was murdered by a crazed fan outside his home in New York. To mark that tragic event, fans around the world are planning commemorations of the singer’s life and legacy on Wednesday (December 8), remembering his message of peace and love and paying tribute to one of the premier songwriters of the modern era. As part of that celebration of Lennon’s life, Rolling Stone magazine has devoted its final 2010 issue to a nine-hour interview the singer did just three days before his death on December 8, 1980. Select excerpts from the interview writer Jonathan Cott conducted with Lennon ran in a tribute issue put out by the magazine in January 1981, but the full talk sat on a shelf in Cott’s closet for nearly 30 years. “Earlier this year I was cleaning up to find some files in the recesses of my closet when I came across two cassette tapes marked ‘John Lennon, December 5th, 1980,'” Cott told the magazine about Lennon’s final print interview. “It had been 30 years since I listened to them, and when I put them on, this totally alive, uplifting voice started speaking on this magical strip of magnetic tape.” On the tapes, Cott found a Lennon who was still angry at fans and critics who had taken him to task for a five-year musical hiatus, during which the singer devoted his time to raising his son Sean with wife Yoko Ono and decompressing from more than 15 years in the intense media spotlight. “These critics with the illusions they’ve created about artists — it’s like idol worship. They only like people when they’re on their way up,” he said. “I cannot be on the way up again. What they want is dead heroes, like Sid Vicious and James Dean,” he added in an eerily prescient screed. “I’m not interested in being a dead f—ing hero … so forget ’em, forget ’em.” With Bruce Springsteen then the face of rock’s future, Lennon expressed fear that the Boss would fall victim to the same kind of pressures as he did. “And God help Bruce Springsteen when they decide he’s no longer God. … They’ll turn on him, and I hope he survives it.” Seemingly recharged after his hiatus, Lennon also contemplated going back out on the road to play some shows. “We just might do it,” he said. “But there will be no smoke bombs, no lipstick, no flashing lights. It just has to be comfy. But we could have a laugh. We’re born-again rockers, and we’re starting over. … There’s plenty of time, right? Plenty of time.” In audio excerpts from the interview on Rolling Stone ‘s website, Lennon laments, “I cannot live up to other people’s expectations of me, because they’re illusory,” he said of his efforts to include positive messages of hope and togetherness in his music and the pressure to live up to his legacy. “Give peace a chance, not shoot people for peace … I only put out songs and answer questions … I cannot be 18 and a be a punk … I see the world through different eyes. I still believe in love, peace and understanding, as Elvis Costello says.” At the time of his murder, Lennon, then 40, had just released what would be his final album, Double Fantasy. In excerpts from the Rolling Stone tapes, he discusses the musical hiatus he took before that time, going on at length about an electric guitar he had purchased before the Fantasy sessions and how it had never seen any “professional” work until he used it on the album. The ex-Beatle sounds at times reflective and whimsical when discussing the winding road he took back to music, while also hitting on a note of bitterness about the loss of innocence and privacy he’s endured as part of the biggest band in music history. Ono released a statement on Tuesday night in tribute to her late husband, telling fans, “On this tragic anniversary, please join me in remembering John with deep love and respect,” Ono said. “In his short-lived life of 40 years, he has given so much to the world. The world was lucky to have known him. We still learn so much from him today. John, I love you!” Share your thoughts on John Lennon in our comments section below. Related Artists John Lennon

Demi Lovato: Nearing Settlement with Alex Welch

As expected, it looks like Demi Lovato and Alex Welch are close to reaching a settlement. A day after the 21-year old back-up dancer told the world that Demi had yet to apologize for last month’s punch to the face, the legal action has heated up between lawyers for both parties. Soon after his client gave this interview, Don Karpel said he would file suit against the Sonny With a Chance actress “in the next seven to 10 days” for alleged assault and battery. That got the attention of Lovato’s team, spokesman Jesse Derris said: “Demi’s attorneys have had an initial discussion with Mr. Karpel. They are exploring the possibility of an amicable resolution of this matter. We do not plan on making further public comments during this process.” Without going into detail, Karpel echoed this sentiment, telling E! News : “I have engaged in discussions with Demi Lovato’s attorney. I’m fairly confident we will be able to resolve these issues.” Expect an undisclosed amount to be exchanged between the two sides in the near future.

Vatican Clarifies Condom Comments – Condoms OK In Certain Circumstances

VATICAN CITY — In a seismic shift on one of the most profound – and profoundly contentious – Roman Catholic teachings, the Vatican said Tuesday that condoms are the lesser of two evils when used to curb the spread of AIDS, even if their use prevents a pregnancy. The position was an acknowledgment that the church's long-held anti-birth control stance against condoms doesn't justify putting lives at risk. “This is a game-changer,” declared the Rev. James Martin, a prominent Jesuit writer and editor. The new stance was staked out as the Vatican explained Pope Benedict XVI's comments on condoms and HIV in a book that came out Tuesday based on his interview with a German journalist. The Vatican still holds that condom use is immoral and that church doctrine forbidding artificial birth control remains unchanged. Still, the reassessment on condom use to help prevent disease carries profound significance, particularly in Africa where AIDS is rampant. added by: jubal

Lady Gaga ’60 Minutes’ Interview Details Revealed

‘She’s obviously a fascinating person,’ Anderson Cooper says about time he spent with the pop star. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: Stephen Lovekin/ Getty Images For those wondering when that “60 Minutes” interview with Lady Gaga and Anderson Cooper will air, the news anchor announced that it will air in February 2011, around the time of the Grammy Awards. He also revealed why he wanted to interview the “Bad Romance” singer so badly. “I was really interested to meet Lady Gaga … she’s obviously a fascinating person,” he said in a sit-down with “The Insider.” “What’s great about ’60 Minutes’ is you spend a lot of time with the person you’re profiling.” Cooper recounted just how much time he got to spend with the singer, who is going to release her new album in early 2011. “So to be able to spend a couple weekends with her in various places over the course of several months, it’s really cool,” he added. “And it’s really interesting and I’m learning stuff about her I never saw before.” Photos and some grainy YouTube footage of the two filming the interview in October found its way online soon after they were spotted in London on the South Bank of the Thames River chatting for the episode. Gaga was wearing a lacy bustier, platform ankle-high boots, fishnet stockings and sunglasses, with her long hair loose and down. Gaga recently tweeted that her album Born This Way is nearly complete, and Akon, her label boss, shared that he thinks Gaga is really stepping up her game with this album. “If I was going to compare it to her previous work, I would definitely say it’s a notch up,” Akon said. “It’s like she’s slowly taking you on to this journey down this road. If she were to just drastically do it, she probably would have lost everybody from the first album, but once the sound was created and established, now we can use that as a tool to grab all the monsters and walk them down this graveyard. It’s crazy. It’s amazing.” Related Photos The Evolution Of: Lady Gaga Related Artists Lady Gaga

More from Capri Anderson: Death Threats, Cocaine Snorting, $20,000 Payoff Alleged

In an interview that will air on ABC’s Nightline this evening, Capri Anderson says Charlie Sheen wrapped his hands around her neck and used many racial slurs. But that’s far from all. The porn star admitted to George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America today that she was offered $3,500 to be Charlie Sheen’s escort on October 25. Insisting this money was for her company, not her vagina, Anderson was joined by her lawyer and said she plans to sue Sheen for battery and false imprisonment. Why didn’t Capri initially tell police about lamps being thrown her way and death threats being issued, two of the allegations she elaborates on during the interview? Watch her answer in this video and decide whether or not she’s credible: Capri Anderson on GMA Anderson claims she was sitting on a coffee table in Sheen’s hotel room when the Two and a Half Men star began “snorting a white powdery substance.” Was she there willingly? Was there a bit of romance? Yes and yes. But then Sheen “started throwing things. He threw a lamp. That was the first thing he picked up. And he threw it across the room at me… I became very shocked, scared.” But why did Capri call a friend, instead of the cops, after locking herself in the bathroom following this incident? She says she was in shock, “crying and embarrassed.” Anderson added that Sheen called the next day after offered money for her silence (“He apologized for his behavior and the entire evening, I guess,” she says). Reports indicate the amount offered was $20,000. While many aspects of this story are curious, attorney Keith Davidson summed it up thusly: “There’s certain things that no one can deny about that evening. One person was brought away from that hospital against their will, and it was Mr. Sheen.”

Sarah Palin Blasts Katie Couric on Fox: ‘I Swear to You, I Will Not Waste My Time With Her’

Fox News is promoting tonight's interview with Sarah Palin on Hannity . She's declared she will not “waste” her time with the CBS anchor who drew all kinds of praise and even awards for pummeling Palin in 2008 (after going all cuddly with “close-talking, free-wheeling, ice-cream eating” Joe Biden ). Hannity asked: “Would you even do another interview with Katie Couric?” Palin said she would like to be more open with journalistic professionals, but left Couric out of that category: As for doing an interview though, with a reporter who already has such a bias against whatever it is that I would come out and say, why waste my time? No. I want to clean up the state, that is so sorry today, of journalism. And I have a communications degree. I studied journalism – who, what, when, where, and why of reporting. I will speak to reporters who still understand that cornerstone of our democracy, that expectation that the public has, for truth to be reported, and then we get to decide our own opinion based on the facts reported to us. So, a journalist, a reporter who is so biased and will no doubt spin and gin up whatever it is that I have to say to create controversy? I swear to you, I will not waste my time with her. read more
