A couple days after a woman responded to a Craigslist ad because someone threatened to shoot his dog , and a couple weeks after a man actually blew his canine up , we have news of a four-month old kitten who is fighting for its life. After being doused in gasoline and set on fire. A $5,000 reward has been established to catch the awful people involved, as the cat continues to struggle with no whiskers and severely singed ears. Grumpy Cat was interviewed live via satellite on Australian TV from her home in Arizona this week, and it went about how you’d expect it would. The incomparable feline Internet phenom was not what you’d call enthralled, which is pretty consistent with what we’ve come to expect at this point. This is Grumpy Cat, after all. She may not take credit for it, but the fact remains: Antoinette Tuff saved an untold number of lives Tuesday. Michael Brandon Hill , 20, took an AK-47 on to the campus of Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy in Decatur, Ga., but surrendered to authorities without causing any real harm. All because Tuff opened up and managed to relate to the troubled young man. Antoinette Tuff Talks Down Georgia Shooter “Don’t feel bad, baby,” the front office employee is heard saying to Hill on 911 tapes that were released yesterday. “My husband just left me after 33 years … I’ve got a son that’s multiple disabled… It’s all going to be well.” Tuff went on to sympathize with Hill and convince him not to make a horrible situation worse. “We’re not going to hate you, baby. It’s a good thing that you’re giving up, so we’re not going to hate you,” she tells him. “Let’s do it before the helicopters and stuff like that come… “… it’s going to be alright, sweetie. I just want you to know that I love you, though, okay? And I’m proud of you. That’s a good thing that you’re just giving up, and don’t worry about it. We all go through something in life … You’re going to be okay.” Tuff then proceeded to give instructions from police to Hill, who put down his weapon and lay down on the ground with his hands behind his back. Multiple Florida sinkhole stories have made national news in recent months, but haven’t seen footage of the rare phenomenon quite like this before. YouTube user assumptionla captured the moment when whole trees were being devoured by a sinkhole in Assumption Parish, Louisiana. Look: As is the case with many large sinkholes, this one looks to have been caused by environmental impact directly traceable to humanity. According to New Orleans’ biggest newspaper, The Times-Picayune, Louisiana said earlier this month that it will be suing Texas Brine LLC. Stephanie Heizmann Auerbach, a first-class passenger on a Delta flight from Detroit to Shanghai Sunday, grew so disruptive that pilots were forced to make an emergency landing in Anchorage. According to FBI interviews with passengers and crew members, the 47-year old downed five glasses of wine within 90 minutes. She then walked up and down the aisles, cursing up a storm and climbing on to seats. She also snuck MORE drunks out of the galley behind the backs of flight attendants. “Auerbach spilled alcohol on passenger A.J. and grabbed A.J.’s wrist to place a bracelet on A.J. (She) declined to wear the bracelet and asked Auerbach to leave her alone,” the charging documents read. “In response, Auerbach swore at A.J. and demanded that a flight attendant give her A.J.’s name. A flight attendant intervened and returned Auerbach to Auerbach’s assigned seat. Auerbach alarmed A.J. and it appeared to A.J. that Auerbach was attempting to gain access to the pilot.” After receiving a written notice about her behavior, Auerbach – who owns a fashion company based in Shanghai – reportedly flung the notice back into the flight attendant’s face and demanded off the airplane. When a pilot asked Auerbach to follow the crew’s order and she refused, he took the “necessary” step, according to a Delta spokeswoman, landing the flight in Alaska. Police then boarded the aircraft and detained what they described as a “physically combative” Auerbach. She remained in jail for at least two days and was charged Tuesday with interference of flight crew and members.
In case you haven’t noticed, Heidi Klum has been having some kind of hotness renaissance lately. Between all the nudie Instagrams she’s been posting and now this awesome cleavage she showed off at some America’s Got Talent event, it’s been a pretty epic comeback for the supermodel.
