Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson, the family patriarch, shares his views on abortion, which he opposes, in a video posted earlier this year. Robertson recounts the beginning of the America Declaration of Independence, which promises the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. “It didn’t take us 150 years, we start ripping babies out of wombs,” he says. What in the world happened to us?” The Duck Dynasty Season 4 premiere raked in 11.8 million viewers for A&E last week, proving the immense popularity of the family on the network. The Robertsons’ conservative leanings and faith-based practices are sometimes displayed in the hit reality show, albeit usually not in overt fashion. The above video wouldn’t even be news if Phil weren’t one of the biggest stars on TV nowadays, which he undeniably (and incredibly) has become. A big part of that is that Phil and his family are who they are – the same authentic, faithful and family-oriented individuals they were before fame.
