Teen Who Sued Parents For College Tuition Drops Lawsuit The 18-year-old New Jersey girl who sued her parents for college tuition after moving out of her home days before her birthday has now returned home and dropped the lawsuit. via USA Today A high school senior who gained international notoriety by suing her parents for child support and college tuition formally dismissed her lawsuit Tuesday. Rachel Canning, 18, of Lincoln Park, N.J., moved out of her parents’ home two days before her 18th birthday in November but returned last week. Canning — accompanied by her lawyer, Tanya N. Helfand; her parents, Sean and Elizabeth Canning; and their lawyer, Angelo Sarno — appeared early Tuesday before Judge Peter A. Bogaard of state Superior Court here. The judge accepted brief testimony from Rachel Canning on her decision to dismiss the complaint and found that she was making “a knowing and voluntary decision,” according to a copy of the dismissal order. She sued her parents Feb. 24, claiming they had cut off emotional and financial support when she turned 18 on Nov. 1. Her parents counter-claimed that their daughter had become increasingly belligerent, refused to follow household rules, was drinking and would not break up with a boyfriend they considered a bad influence. After the Cannings ceased paying for the final half of Rachel Canning’s senior year at Morris Catholic and appeared unwilling to pay upcoming college costs, she filed a suit for “constructive abandonment.” Rachel Canning unexpectedly returned home March 11, and her parents lawyer, Angelo Sarno, said the family wanted to move on. Sounds like somebody learned her lesson the hard way. Just what she needed if you ask us!

The Hole singer scoured satellite images over the areas law enforcement and local officials have been circling around in hopes of finding evidence of the plane, or any wreckage — and she thinks she may have found something. Love drew lots of attention for her investigative post, including plenty of snark. “Swear to god if Courtney Love finds the f–king plane,” one Facebook user wrote — which garnered over 9,000 “likes.” Despite her effort, the Tomnod website has deemed Love’s discovery was not a plane. “Sometimes our eyes see what we want them to see,” the company said, according to the Wall Street Journal. Translation: “Bless her heart…” “Yeah, I went to the satellite site and just uploaded tons and tons of pictures,” she said. “I really doubt aliens took it. It’s got to be somewhere. I’m a little obsessive.” “I mean I don’t know anything about aviation per se,” she added. “I figured a plane would still be leaking some fuel so I searched for signs of an oil slick. I found one and there appeared to be an object nearby. I don’t know if it is the plane or not, but I figured I’d do my part and bring some awareness to the site, for the sake of all the families involved.” “I hope they find the plane. I pray they’re still alive. Angus T. Jones has spoken out once again about Two and a Half Men. The young actor, who trashed the sitcom as filth in November 2012, gave a radio interview on March 15 in which he opened up about his decision to leave a $300,000-per-episode paycheck. Angus T. Jones Labels Self “Paid Hypocrite” “It was difficult for me to be on the show and be part of something that was making light of topics in our world where there are really problems for a lot of people,” Jones told KHOU. “I was a paid hypocrite because I wasn’t OK with it and I was still doing it.” The 19-year old portrayed Jake Harper on the series for about 10 years before choosing to exit for personal and religious reasons. Jones apologized for his previous slamming of the sitcom, saying he is grateful for having had the opportunity, but says in his latest Q&A that he has no regrets, except when it comes to creator Chuck Lorre. “That’s his, like, his baby, and I just totally insulted his baby and to that degree I am apologetic,” Jones explained. “But otherwise I don’t regret saying what I said. What is next on his professional docket? Perhaps acting, it the right gig comes along. “I really want to come into the light because I know that is where the healing is and I’ve seen God do amazing things,” Angus said. “There’s a few different productions that like do kind of Bible-based stories.
