Gay Soccer Star Robbie Rogers Posts Instagram Picture Together Earlier this year NBA big man baller Jason Collins made a huge rainbow-colored splash when he announced himself as the first openly gay American athlete in any of the 4 major sports (football, basketball, baseball, hockey). A few weeks after Jason shimmied out of the closet, soccer player Robbie Rogers became the first openly gay athlete to play in a U.S. professional league . This weekend, the two jolly jocks met up to spend some time face-to-face getting to know one another. Robbie even went so far as to post a cute lil’ photo on Instagram complete with cross-dressing “joke” to commemorate their happiness. Many of the comments left on the picture were from folks suggesting that Jason and Robbie make a cute couple and should date. We wouldn’t be surprised at all if these two started going together.
