Image via Getty White Teenager Arrested For Lying About Rape By 3 Black Men Enjoy the bing, Becky . According to the Harold-Democrat a 19-year-old girl from Denison, Texas is facing 32 years in prison for lying about being kidnapped and raped by 3 Black men. On March 8, Breana Rachelle Harmon claimed she was walking to her car when 3 Black men grabbed her, threw her into an SUV and drove her to the woods where they raped her. She claims she was allowed to leave after the sexual assault and she ran to a local church where the police were contacted. Upon being examined, a nurse stated that there were no physical signs of rape and her professional instincts told her that the assault was a lie. Upon further investigation, police found several holes in her story, one of which was the knife wounds she allegedly suffered didn’t match the damage done to her clothing. On March 21, this lyin’ azz broad admitted to filing a false police report. When asked at the church if she was raped, she shook her head “yes” because she didn’t want her mother to by mad at her for cutting herself, something she had been known to do previously. No one was arrested for Breanna’s tall tale, but Denison Police Chief Jay Burch pushed forward with charges against Breanna and said this about her conduct: “Breana Harmon-Talbott’s hoax was also insulting to our community and especially offensive to the African-American community due to her description of the so-called suspects in her hoax,” Burch said, previously. “The anger and hurt caused from such a hoax are difficult and all so unnecessary.” Rot, b!t¢h.
Image via Prince Williams/WireImage/Getty Transcript Of Meek Mill’s Meeting With Judge To Be Released If you’ll recall, the reputation of Genece Brinkley , the judge who threw a library of books at Meek Mill for probation violation, has come into SERIOUS question. Meek says the judge basically tried to offer a bribe scenario in which Meek would record a Boyz II Men song and give her a sycophantic shoutout. Young bul refused this jawn’s nut a$$ request and claims that she has been drawin’ ever since. According to TMZ , another judge has ordered the release of the transcript from that meeting to help determine whether or not Brinkley really is carrying out a vendetta against the Philly spitter. The transcript could also show whether or not the judge asked Meek to change managers, one of the things that the FBI is interested in as well in their investigation to determine corruption. #FreeMeekMill might just become a reality sooner than everyone thought.
NEW YORK, NY – AUGUST 10: Rapper Gunplay promotes debut full-length “Living Legend” at Music Choice on August 10, 2015 in New York City. (Photo by Donna Ward/Getty Images) Gunplay Sued For Head Butting Ex-GF On New Years Day? The ex-girlfriend of one of LHHMIA’s stars is really upset her former lover allegedly attacked her on January 1, and now she wants to hit his pockets. The woman, Aneka Johnston says she dated Gunplay from 2010-2012 and during that time he was known to be a menace, according to The Blast . Now the woman is suing him over one blow out fight they had at her recent skrip club gig. She says that Gunplay and his now girlfriend, who is also on the show Keyara, came up to her job and Gunplay attacked her after provoking an argument over old relationship issues. During the fight, she says Gunplay head butted her. OUCH! She reportedly claims injuries to her head, face and eye in the suit. Her attorney, Mark DiCowden’s, statement on the suit: Gunplay has a long history of committing violence and domestic abuse. He has made a living out of glorifying crime and harmful conduct on people, including women. Ms. Johnston was working and didn’t deserve to be attacked. She has previously been a victim of Gunplay’s domestic violence and ended her relationship with him years ago because of his ongoing abuse. Gunplay’s celebrity status does not allow him to act above the law. No amount of fame or fortune justifies Gunplay’s shameful and outrageous conduct. This lawsuit will send Gunplay a message and deter his misbehavior in the future. We will seek punitive damages against him as allowed by Florida law. The incident allegedly happened at 3am, after the woman’s shift. Reportedly, cops have already closed their part of the investigation and referred Johnston to to the Florida State Attorney’s office to pursue charges of misdemeanor battery. Dayumm.
A teacher named Rachel Gonzalez was arrested after a boy’s father caught her and his son “romping” in her car. While other teachers have been arrested for sexually preying upon their students , this story is particularly unsettling. Because the teacher was 44 and the son … was 13. The only silver lining to this disgusting story is that Rachel Gonzalez was caught and arrested. An underage student’s father notified Bay City, Texas police of an inappropriate relationship between his 13-year-old son and a 44-year-old teacher. We hope that we don’t have to explain why the boy’s name has been withheld. The teacher’s name is Rachel Gonzalez. Apparently, what first clued in the father was discovering conversations on the teen’s phone about their inappropriate sexual relationship. We can’t imagine how horrifying it must be to discover that your very young son is being preyed upon by a much, much older sexual predator. It must be even more chilling to find that the woman in question has been entrusted with the care and well being of hundreds of children. It appears that Rachel Gonzalez may not be the boy’s teacher. The school district reported that it had received “a report of an alleged inappropriate relationship between a student at one campus and a BCISD teacher from another campus.” Given that there are reports of Rachel Gonzalez having been (at least at one time) a fourth grade teacher, that makes sense. (Fourth graders, folks, are typically 9 or 10, not 13) “The District immediately involved the Bay City ISD Chief of Police in order to evaluate the report, and quickly turned the matter over to the Bay City Police Department for a full investigation.” According to Bay City police documents: “During the investigation Detectives got a search warrant to seize and access the phone belonging to the victim. At that time, they were able to locate evidence indicating there was an improper relationship and Detectives requested warrants for the arrest of Gonzalez.” They served those warrants on December 22nd. Rachel Gonzalez was then super arrested. “She was transported to the Matagorda County Jail where she was booked in on charges of On-Line Solicitation of a Minor and Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student.” And, in case you’re worried about this woman seeing the inside of a classroom instead of a jail cell, the school district also added: “The teacher in question resigned from BCISD prior to the District learning of the allegations.” The school district’s Board of Trustees President released an additional statement: “While I cannot provide additional information at this time that could possibly compromise the legal process underway or the safety and well-being of BCISD students.” The Board President then added: “I want to assure our parents and community that student welfare is our top priority. We are committed to providing a safe school environment for BCISD students and staff.” We should note that there are a few things that are unusual about this case: -The scope of the age difference. -That she appears to have been a teacher from another school altogether. -The extent of the victim’s youth, because 13 is (usually) barely pubescent. We may be talking about a 7th grader, here. It’s horrifying. We wish that we knew what sort of screening process schools should implement to prevent the hiring of sexual predators. All that we can really suggest is that, for prospective teachers who think that they might be attracted to future students: perhaps, like diabetics who dream of becoming bakers, they should pick another profession before they ruin some student’s life.
Source: Earl Gibson III / Getty Yes, him too. PBS announced on Wednesday that they have suspended Tavis Smiley on allegations of sexual harassment. According to Variety , PBS put out the following statement about the situation: “Effective today, PBS has indefinitely suspended distribution of ‘Tavis Smiley,’ produced by TS Media, an independent production company,” the public broadcaster said. “PBS engaged an outside law firm to conduct an investigation immediately after learning of troubling allegations regarding Mr. Smiley. This investigation included interviews with witnesses as well as with Mr. Smiley. The inquiry uncovered multiple, credible allegations of conduct that is inconsistent with the values and standards of PBS, and the totality of this information led to today’s decision.” Sources told Variety that the law firm in charge of the investigation took reports from 10 witnesses, a diverse men and women from different races and employment levels within Smiley’s organization. However, most of them former staffers. But what PBS found was eye-opening and they believe the following accounts are credible: Smiley engaged in sexual relationships with multiple employees who worked underneath him. Some witnesses interviewed expressed concern that their employment status was linked to the status of a sexual relationship with Smiley. In addition, witnesses described Smiley as creating a verbally abusive and threatening environment that went beyond what could be expected in a typical high-pressure work environment. Several expressed concerns about retaliation if they came forward or reported his behavior to higher ups. Of course, Smiley is denying all of these allegations. In a video he posted on social media on Wednesday night, he stressed that he respects women and he has never coerced them into sex. My response to PBS suspension full text here: https://t.co/SzcQLfQWeX pic.twitter.com/8KX2QIr59B — Tavis Smiley (@tavissmiley) December 14, 2017 “I have the utmost respect for women and celebrate the courage of those who have come forth to tell their truth. To be clear, I have never groped, coerced, or exposed myself inappropriately to any workplace colleague in my entire broadcast career, covering 6 networks over 30 years.” Smiley added, “If having a consensual relationship with a colleague years ago is the stuff that leads to this kind of public humiliation and personal destruction, heaven help us. The PBS investigators refused to review any of my personal documentation, refused to provide me the names of any accusers, refused to speak to my current staff, and refused to provide me any semblance of due process to defend myself against allegations from unknown sources. Their mind was made up. Almost immediately following the meeting, this story broke in Variety as an “exclusive.” Indeed, I learned more about these allegations reading the Variety story than the PBS investigator shared with me, the accused, in our 3 hour face to face meeting. My attorneys were sent a formal letter invoking a contractual provision to not distribute my programming, and that was it. Put simply, PBS overreacted and conducted a biased and sloppy investigation, which led to a rush to judgment, and trampling on a reputation that I have spent an entire lifetime trying to establish. This has gone too far. And, I, for one, intend to fight back. It’s time for a real conversation in America, so men and women know how to engage in the workplace. I look forward to actively participating in that conversation.” This is a developing story and we will provide updates as they become available. Florida authorities are investigating the possibility of a serial killer in a Tampa, neighborhood after three shooting deaths within the last two weeks prompted the community into high alert. Families make final arrangements after Seminole Heights murders. #SeminoleHeightsKiller https://t.co/gd7GBExswb pic.twitter.com/I70Ruda1s9 — ABC Action News (@abcactionnews) October 23, 2017 According to PEOPLE , the three victims who were either Black or Latino, were fatally shot over the course of 11 days in a Seminole Heights neighborhood. Though the victims had no familiarity with one another, all their deaths occurred within half a mile. Authorities believe one assailant shot all of the victims, but currently have no suspect or motive, USA Today reports. “Through the proximity and the time frame, they are related,” Tampa interim Police Chief Brian Dugan said during a Friday press conference. “There is no doubt in our minds about that.” The first victim, 22-year old Benjamin Mitchell , was struck on October 9 near a bus stop by his home. Police believe Mitchell was alone at the time of the shooting. On October 11 Monica Caridad Hoffa , 32, was shot and killed 10 blocks from Mitchell. Her body was discovered in an empty grassy plot owned by the city of Tampa. The last victim, 20 year-old Anthony Taino Naiboa, was fatally shot on October 19, just 100 yards from Mitchell. According to authorities, Naiboa suffered from autism and mistakenly took the wrong bus home from his job. They killed him just for nothing,” Naiboa’s father Anthony said during a Sunday vigil for his son. “Like he’s not a human, like he’s nothing.” Community members spoke with USA Today to express the constant state of anguish and fear of a killer on the loose. “We don’t open the door or nothing. A lot of people are scared,” Maria Maldonado, who resides near where two of the shootings to place , said to the outlet. “I’m scared for my son, for the neighborhood, she continued. City officials and authorities have put in safety guards until the shooter is found. Police are escorting children to school and have warned community members not to walk alone at night. Several law enforcement groups such as the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are helping with the investigation, USA today reports. “There aren’t a lot of facts, or evidence, yet,” Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn said in an interview with the outlet. “We’re going to find this guy and we’re not leaving this neighborhood till we do.” The recent shooting spree in Florida is eerily similar to a 2016 case in Phoenix, Arizona , where several victims of color were gunned down in a small Maryvale neighborhood. Auburn PD Plans To Move Forward With Rape Case Against Nelly It looks like Nelly isn’t exactly off the hook when it comes to those rape allegations . Even though his 21-year-old accuser announced through her lawyer that she was letting go of the case as the pressure was too much to move forward with prosecution (not to mention the fact that she’s been facing intimidation from Nelly’s clique ), the police don’t exactly need her cooperation to put Nelly behind bars. Washington State cops tell TMZ that they aren’t deterred by the accuser’s refusal to testify. They are still gathering evidence in the case and plan to present their findings to the prosecuter by the end of the week. Nelly’s attorney, however, claims that he’s more than confident the case will be closed quickly based on the evidence they find. Wow, the cops are adamant about this one. We wonder what they have on file, if anything, that makes them this confident in moving forward without the victim wanting anything further to do with the investigation. Getty/WENN
