Erin Go Braless: Mr. Skin’s St. Patrick’s Day Striptacular! [PICS]

Shake off that Spring Break hangover, because there’s a pot of boobs at the end of the rainbow when Irish folks of every color, creed and cup size celebrate St. Patrick’s Day next week! St. Patrick drove all the snakes out of Ireland except for one- the common trouser snake, which the holy man in his infinite wisdom kept intact so the lads could celebrate Erin (and Sinead and Caitlin and Molly) with the appropriate level of enthusiasm. There are loads of lovely Irish lassies to peel your potato to, and Mr. Skin’s got some of his favorites from the Emerald Isle after the jump!

Adele Makes It Two In A Row Atop Billboard 200

Former Floetry member Marsha Ambrosius lands at #2 with solo debut. By Gil Kaufman Adele’s 21 Photo: Columbia Records Cracking the American market has always been a challenge for British acts, but U.K. soul singer Adele is making it look easy. After her second album, 21, topped the Billboard 200 chart last week, she will do it again next week, holding onto the top spot with sales just shy of 168,000. According to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan, sales were down 52 percent, but that was still enough to beat out the #2 album, the solo debut by former Floetry member Marsha Ambrosius , Late Nights & Early Mornings, which had a good showing thanks to 96,000 units moved. The only other newcomers in the top 10 are the latest from Irish rockers Dropkick Murphys , Going Out in Style, which comes in at #6 (43,000), and Staind singer Aaron Lewis ‘ solo effort, Town Line, which is just behind at #7 (38,000). The rest of the top 10: Mumford & Sons , Sigh No More (#3, 54,000), Justin Bieber , Never Say Never – The Remixes (#4, 53,000), NOW 37 (#5, 44,000), Bieber’s My World 2.0 (#8, 33,000), Bruno Mars , Doo-Wops & Hooligans (#9, 32,000) and Pink , Greatest Hits So Far!!! (#10, 31,000). The latest sales totals for Mumford make them the first English band since 2009 (Coldplay, Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends ) to sell 1 million copies of an album in both the U.K. and U.S. One of the most notable chart climbs belongs to the left-for-dead soundtrack to the Christina Aguilera/ Cher big-screen flop “Burlesque,” which rockets up 122 spots in the wake of Aguilera’s arrest for public intoxication , the movie’s release on DVD and the announcement that Aguilera will join the judging panel of “The Voice.” Also getting a boost following its Oscar win is the soundtrack to “The Social Network” by Nine Inch Nails leader Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross , which climbs 66 slots to #59 (9,000). Further down the line, Different Gear, Still Speeding, the debut from former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher’s new band, Beady Eye , lands at #31 on modest sales of 13,000, and Swedish singer Lykke Li ‘s second album, Wounded Rhymes, debuts at #36 (12,000). Lady Gaga still rules the singles chart on iTunes, topping the list with “Born This Way,” followed by “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez ‘s smash dance hit “On the Floor,” Cee Lo Green ‘s “Forget You,” Rihanna ‘s “S&M,” Ke$ha ‘s “Blow” and Dr. Dre ‘s “I Need a Doctor.” The tally is rounded out with #7 hit “F—in’ Perfect” by Pink , Katy Perry ‘s “E.T.,” Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” and Britney Spears ‘ “Till the World Ends.” Adele continued her winning ways on the iTunes albums chart, holding down the #1 spot, followed by Ambrosius, Mumford, Luke Bryan ‘s Spring Break 3 … It’s a Shore Thing, the Murphys, Lewis, Pink, Bieber’s 2.0, Beady Eye and pre-orders for Foo Fighters ‘ Wasting Light. Look for chart debuts next week from Lupe Fiasco , Avril Lavigne , R.E.M. , Raekwon and the latest “Glee” soundtrack. Related Artists Adele

Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ Video: Pop-Culture Cheat Sheet, Part II

Thanks to eagle-eyed MTV.com readers, we present our second in-depth look at Gaga’s brand-new clip. By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty Images We asked, and you delivered. On Monday, with the premiere of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” video , we compiled a pop-culture cheat sheet to highlight some of the clip’s nods to film, fine art, fashion and more. It was a pretty big task, so when we published that first story, we included a caveat: We were sure there were some references we missed, and we hoped you’d help point them out to us. And, of course, you did. We received tons of tips from eagle-eyed Gaga fans, who analyzed each frame of “Born This Way” and came back with a list of references we can’t believe we missed (actually, some of them were so fleeting that we can’t believe you noticed them). And thanks to that response — and in the interest of being thorough — we’re publishing a second cheat sheet, made up entirely of contributions from MTV.com readers. We’d like to think this is about as complete a list as you can get, but, if there’s still something that slipped through the cracks, let us know in the comments below. So, without further ado, alphabetized and cross-referenced for your perusing pleasure, here is our “Born This Way” pop-culture cheat sheet, part II: Lotus Flowers : Not to be confused with the Radiohead single, these flowers hold immense significance in Eastern religion and philosophy, representing sexual purity, feminine grace and spiritual promise. Hindus closely associate the lotus with the divinities Lakshmi and Vishnu, and Buddhists believed that the flowers bloomed with each step of Gautama Buddha, who founded the religion. In “Born This Way,” lotus flowers descend to Earth (spiraling, as one reader pointed out, “in line with the Golden Ratio”) immediately following the birth of the starchild. Michelangelo’s “Last Judgment” : Massive fresco inside the Sistine Chapel, it depicts the second coming of Christ and the apocalypse. Several readers noticed the similarities between the painting and the “Born This Way” scene where the “evil” child is born, as the souls of humans trapped below rise toward their Mother Monster for judgment. Ovary : Female reproductive organ that — as one ultra-attentive Gaga fan pointed out — makes an appearance as a constellation at the 33-second mark of “Born This Way,” just before Mother Monster begins to give birth. “Rabbit Teeth” : We caught hell from the Little Monsters for suggesting that, when Gaga donned a pair of gapped-front teeth at the conclusion of “Born This Way,” she was doing so as an homage to Madonna. Instead, her fans said the costume was a nod to LG’s own past, when she was called “rabbit teeth” by her classmates. Now, of course, it’s safe to say she’s having the last laugh. Sin

Liam Neeson As Hollywood’s Newest Badass: ‘Unknown’ Co-Stars Explain

Diane Kruger and January Jones say actor’s ‘body of work and gravitas as an actor’ add a new layer to action films. By Shawn Adler, with reporting by Kara Warner Diane Kruger and January Jones Photo: MTV News He may have broken in with roles in sword-and-sorcery flicks like “Excalibur” and “Krull,” but how in the world did the Oscar-nominated man best known for his quiet, dramatic work in films like “Schindler’s List,” “Nell” and “Kinsey” suddenly become film’s most believable, in-demand 60-year-old badass? It’s precisely because of his previous work, “Unknown” co-stars Diane Kruger and January Jones insisted to MTV News. “I wanted to be in this movie because of Liam really,” Kruger said. “Especially this kind of film. … I think because of his age and because of his body of work and his gravitas as an actor, I think it brings a whole other layer of depth to this kind of film. It feels fresh. It feels like, yes, it’s entertaining and it’s light, but there’s a whole other layer of emotions and character work going on.” Two years after Neeson rocked audiences as a super-talented assassin out to save his daughter in “Taken,” the Irish thesp is back to kick butt and take names in “Unknown,” a neo-Hitchcockian thriller about a man bereft of an identity after a car accident leaves him unsure of who he really is. While unquestionably dangerous and capable, here Neeson also has to play fragile and flustered. It’s a dichotomy that doesn’t just show up in his film roles, January Jones argued, but in the man himself. “He’s such a perfect casting choice for this movie, because you could be intimidated by him physically because he is fit and could cause you harm,” the future Emma Frost told MTV News. “But at the same time there’s something so vulnerable about him in certain things he says and certain things he does that makes you want to take care of him, there’s both sides of that. You could believe that he could be a bad guy, but you could also want him to succeed.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Unknown.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .

Colin Farrell Talks Doing ‘Tricky’ Russian Accent For ‘Way Back’

Irish A-lister tells MTV News he tried to capture the ‘beautiful’ and ‘hard’ language for upcoming World War II prison drama. By Kara Warner Colin Farrell Photo: MTV News Colin Farrell plays an intimidating Russian prisoner in the World War II drama “The Way Back,” about a group of inmates who escape the Siberian Gulag and must walk more than 4,000 miles to freedom. We caught up with the Irish actor recently and we talked about how he tackles foreign accents and other languages for roles like his “Way Back” character, Valka. “Accents are tricky sometimes, all the time, potentially,” Farrell admitted to MTV News. “They either keep you away or they bring you in. They’re either a conduit into a character or they’re a fence that keeps you at a distance that you don’t want to be,” he said. Farrell explained that he worked with a dialect coach and read Russian poetry to get a feel for the language, which eventually began to flow rather naturally for him. “It really just initially and unconsciously started affecting the way I moved or sat or [my] facial expressions and just feeling those sounds in my mouth,” he said. “Russian to me, to my ignorant ears is an incredibly evocative language and accent, even. If a Russian is speaking English, it’s an incredibly evocative sound that’s committed each time a Russian opens their mouth.” The “Way Back” actor said he essentially fell in love with the language. “It’s beautiful and it’s hard. There’s a sense of hardship, and I say that with absolute humility and lack of judgment,” he said. “It’s a beautiful language and it gave me my version of it in the film, wherever I got to in the journey of getting there, brought me as close to the character as any other bit of research or any other contemplation of his background.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .
