Chris Lopez Responds to Kailyn Lowry Abuse Allegations

Even though he's never appeared on the show, Chris Lopez is not a particularly beloved figure among Teen Mom 2 fans. Lopez briefly dated Kailyn Lowry last year, and he's the father of her youngest son, Lux. Unfortunately, Chris has made it abundantly clear that he wants nothing to do with either Kail or the show that made her famous. By most accounts, Lopez is something of a jerk, but until recently we thought he was simply a bad boyfriend who became a deadbeat dad. Now, Briana DeJesus has leveled a much more serious allegation at Lopez, and some fans might not be satisfied by his response … 1. Instagram Dad Chris and Kal have had a contentious relationship since well before Lux was born. These days, he posts lots of pics of himself and his son, but Kail says it’s all for show and accuses him of being an “Instagram dad.” 2. Back and Forth She says he’s barely a part of Lux’s life at all, and he usually responds with pettiness like this. Yes, that’s a photo of Chris burning a copy of Kail’s memoir. 3. Lux Life Needless to say, the former couple has failed to form the amicable co-parenting relationship that Kail had hoped for. And now it looks as though the situation might be far worse than we initially thought … 4. Always a Source of Drama The latest uproar surrounding Lopez is the result of a bizarre comment that Kail’s longtime rival, Briana DeJesus, made on Instagram. 5. Not Holding Back When a fan accused Briana of trash-talking Kail in front of her kids, DeJesus replied, “I wasn’t talking s–t and shut the f–k up cause she gets beat the f–k up by Chris in front of her kids, goodbye.” 6. Chris Responds Needless to say, Chris was not happy with the accusation leveled by Briana, and he wasted no time in responding. View Slideshow

Jessa Duggar: I Have a "BIG ANNOUNCEMENT" to Make!

Attention, good people of the Internet. Jessa Duggar would like your attention. The veteran reality star took to her Instagram Stories page on Friday and addressed the elephant in the room, which isn’t really an accurate description of the rumors surrounding Jessa these days. It’s more apt to say she addressed the alleged fetus in the womb. Indeed, chatter has been ongoing for weeks now that Jessa is pregnant with her third child , despite already have a two-year old and a one-year old at home. This would be an unusual development for some women… but for a Duggar woman? No judgment or anything, you just never know with this family. “Jessa is definitely pregnant and will be making an announcement in April,” a source close to the family told five weeks ago. Lo and behold, it is now April — and Duggar did just jump on social media to say she has a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT. She’s really expecting again?!?!?!?!?!? No. “Bc I’ve been asked if I’m hiding a bit of a bump… BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! Yes!” Duggar captioned a photo of herself in a baggy sweatshirt yesterday, adding: “But it’s currently a shrinking bump rather than a growing one. #postpartum #baggyshirts #thanksforasking.” Oh. Jessa gave birth to a son named Henry on February 7 of last year and also has a toddler named Spurgeon at home with husband Ben Seewald. It wouldn’t surprise us one bit if the couple eventually adds to its brood with another boy or girl, but not this soon. Heck, Jessa may not be anxious to keep cranking out kids at all if she’s gonna keep getting dragged online for the most basic of acts. Shortly before she joked around on Instagram, Jessa posted a video of her young sons running around outside without shoes on. “Toddlers. So cute to watch them discover all the little details in their world!” Jessa captioned the VERY innocent video. And then she sat back and watched and horrible trolls yelled at her for being a bad mother because the kids weren’t wearing shoes. You tell us: Did Jessa deserve crap for this footage? Jessa Duggar: Negligent Mother?! In a new TLC video, it’s true that Jessa beamed as her younger sister described her experiences as a first-time expectant mother. “It’s so much fun talking to Jinger,” said Jessa, adding: “She’s been going through this pregnancy journey and she’s been drawing out all of the different things she’s experiencing.” Jessa also joked that her sibling better make sure to “enjoy those extra calories!” Does this mean she’s anxious to get pregnant herself and gobble up as much food as possible? Not really. Don’t be fooled. “There’s days where it feels like we have just hardly any time in the evening together,” Jessa said in a Counting On preview in response to Ben mentioning having another child. Again, we’re certain this will happen someday. But that day is not today. We doubt it will be tomorrow, either. View Slideshow: Duggar Drama: Check Out What’s Ahead For TV’s Favorite Fundies! P.S. Nice joke, Jessa! You got us with it! And it made us laugh out loud! Always nice to see when celebrities can have fun with the many rumors floating around out there about them.

Derick Dillard Goes on Homophobic Rant, Is Still Just the Worst

Derick Dillard is just a truly awful, no-good person. You know it, we know it, everyone who has had the terrible misfortune to check out his Twitter account knows it. He just says so many awful things all the time about so many people — who could forget his favorite hobby of mocking Jazz Jennings , the transgender teenage girl who has her own show on TLC? Or the way he constantly tries to defend his backwards, ignorant beliefs in the most obnoxious, arrogant way possible? Or the way he constantly asks Duggar fans for money , even when he and his family worked on a reality show and even now that he insists he has a job now that they’re no longer on Counting On? It’s just bad. It’s all bad. And, wouldn’t you know it, Derick’s gone and made our opinion of him even worse by taking a sizable chunk of time yesterday to criticize Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent, the stars of Nate and Jeremy by Design. If you’re not familiar, Nate and Jeremy by Design is a show on TLC, one of those home renovation and design shows that everyone loves so much. The show has another layer though, because Nate and Jeremiah are also married. They have a three-year-old daughter who’s been featured on the show, and they welcomed a son just last month. They have a really, really adorable family, but it’s not a traditional family, so you know Derick just had to run his mouth about it. Over on Twitter, he shared a promo for the show that TLC tweeted, and along with it he wrote “What a travesty of family. It’s sad how blatant the liberal agenda is, such that it both highlights and celebrates a lifestyle so degrading to children on public television as if it should be normal.” So in one single tweet, he called Nate and Jeremiah’s beautiful family a “travesty,” said they were “degrading” their children on TV, insisted that they’re not “normal,” and suggested that the only reason they’d have their own show is because of “the liberal agenda.” Not a great start, Derick. When someone pointed out that what they do doesn’t affect him at all, he replied “They affect this poor child, as well as what perversions are celebrated.” “If it were adultery, I doubt a network would be so quick to focus on the reality of it as if it were ok.” Adultery and homosexuality aren’t on the same level at all, obviously, and it’s really disgusting to talk about their daughter this way — she looks like a super happy, well-loved kid. Look, there are too many dumb tweets from Derick to dissect them all like this, so let’s just check out the highlights of his incredible ignorance, all right? After getting called out for being so judgemental, he said “I’m not bashing the people, I’m just calling out the public agenda at play and how a network chooses what they highlight.” “Christians should love all as Christ loved all. Take advantage of capitalism: boycott what you don’t believe in, but don’t boycott relationships.” With all this talk about agendas, someone asked him about his, and he explained that “My agenda is love and truth. I try to follow Jesus Christ as best I can. I’m not perfect, but I do my best.” Do better, buddy. He said that his big issue with the show is the way their daughter is involved — a bit hypocritical, considering how many Duggar kids have been featured on the network. But, as he explained it, “they absolutely have the right to share it, but I’m just calling Christians not to support its promotion in such a public sphere.” Some sweet soul tried to make the argument that if God created everything, he created gay people, and therefore they are also “fearfully and wonderfully made.” Derick argued that “Yes, everything was created perfectly. Unfortunately, it didn’t stay that way very long because a curse was brought through sin which affected the whole world.” “That’s why Jesus came — to redeem it and be the needed savior for our sin. Praise God!” It’s very clear, and it’s been clear for a long time, that Derick is not interested in ever considering the possibility that he could be wrong — and by “wrong,” of course we mean ” ridiculous and hateful and so, so bigoted .” So on a sweeter, lighter note, let’s check out Nate and Jeremiah’s responses to this mess. Without replying directly to Derick, Nate tweeted “My hope with having a show like #NandJByDesign on @TLC, where we go into people’s homes and welcome viewers into ours, is that we can start to break down barriers & normalize the way our family looks & the way our family loves.” Jeremiah added that the show “is about showing the many different faces of love and our universal connection through it.” Isn’t that infinitely nicer than all that nonsense from Derick?  Shame it’s just a part of that “liberal agenda,” huh? Catelynn Lowell Opens Up About Suicidal Thoughts In Shocking Interview

As expected, last night’s Teen Mom OG reunion show was loaded with drama, much of it having to do with ongoing questions about Ryan Edwards’ sobriety. But while Ryan’s situation may have dominated the tabloid headlines in recent weeks, he’s certainly not the only member of the TMOG cast to grapple with personal demons this season. Catelyn Lowell checked into rehab three times over the course of the past year. Unlike Ryan, however, her primary battle was not with substances but with mental illness. Lowell opened up about experiencing suicidal thoughts prior to seeking treatment in November, and during her interview with Dr. Drew that aired last night, she revealed that her situation has improved dramatically in recent months. “If I don’t go somewhere else today, I’m going to off myself and life would be 10 times better,” Catelynn said, recalling her lowest point. “I could picture myself driving into an electrical pole off the road, praying it would kill me. But I wouldn’t do it because I had my kid in the backseat.” These days, Catelynn says, her life is not without its struggles, but changes in her diagnosis ( Lowell suffers from PTSD ) and her medications have left her feeling that she’s equipped to handle the ups and downs. Lowell also says she’s quit pot for good after being advised that the use of recreational drugs might have exacerbated her condition in the past. For his part, Tyler said he still smokes occasionally but was quick to add that he never gets high in his wife’s presence. “I don’t smoke around her,” Tyler told Dr. Drew. Lowell stated in several recent interviews that Tyler has been endlessly supportive throughout her recent struggles. The segment ended with more good news for the Baltierra clan, as  Tyler’s troubled father, Butch Baltierra , joined the proceedings via Skype and informed the audience that he’s been sober ever since completing rehab back in November. It was a bittersweet interview, with Lowell addressing the subject of her miscarriage and fighting tears while discussing the “emotional year” that threatened to tear her family apart. But Catelynn and Tyler survived, in part thanks to their love for one another. Yes, Ryan’s recent bad behavior may make for more scandalous television, but thankfully TMOG viewers seem more interested in celebrating the casts’ successes than in gawking at their misfortunes. Sean Hannity to Jimmy Kimmel: I Accept Your Forced Apology! Come on My Show!

After making some jokes that many viewed as homophobic, Jimmy Kimmel has apologized to the LGBT+ community. And it appears that he's trying to  quash his long-running beef with Sean Hannity  at the same time. And, as the video below shows, it may have worked. Hannity appears to have accepted Kimmel's apology — even though he calls it “forced” — and he's even inviting Kimmel to his show. After rehashing the back-and-forth that's been going on between himself and Kimmel, Hannity says this of Kimmel's apology: “On the surface, to be honest, it feels more like a forced Disney corporate apology directed more towards the LBGTQ community rather than about Kimmel’s comments about the first lady.” He seems to be pretending to say “LGBTQ” awkwardly, as if he doesn't read that acronym all of the time as part of his job, but whatever. His viewers will eat that up. Hannity continues, saying: “I believe everyone should accept apologies, that’s how I was raised, that’s what my religion teaches me, and I’m going to assume he’s sincere.”   “But, from my perspective, I do really kind of enjoy a good fight, and I do agree with Jimmy in the sense that it’s time to move on.” Of course, Hannity knows where his bread is buttered, so he naturally pivots to a familiar topic for Trump fans. “For me, it was never about Hannity vs. Jimmy Kimmel. It’s a lot bigger than that for me.” The man who once  blasted  Obama for ordering “fancy” mustard thinks that the media is being unfair to Trump. Honestly, that's wild. “Just the level of hatred, vitriol against this president and his family is frankly unprecedented, as we've been talking about all night tonight.” He also refers to “the media” as “wholly an extension of the Democratic Party,” which is almost funny for a few reasons, saying: “What's even worse, we have this corrupt media industrial complex. We see it all working tonight.” Uh-huh. Hannity then decides to extend and invitation. “You seem sincere when you talk about healthcare. You seem sincere when you talk about the country.” Kimmel certainly is. The healthcare issue really touches him, as he'd never be able to afford care for his son if he weren't rich. “I want to extend an invitation. You wanna come on the show, I'll promise: no name-calling, no anger.” That will be incredibly off-brand for Hannity. Also, it implies that he can reign in his anger. “No rehashing of the Twitter fight. You want to have a serious discussion. We can talk about the President, his policies, healthcare, comedy, political correctness. …” That would be … interesting. As you may recall, Jimmy Kimmel and Sean Hannity have had some back-and-forth banter. Hannity is sometimes regarded as the “last man standing” among long-running, big-name conservative mouthpieces at Fox News. Kimmel has his late-night talk show on NBC and, like many Americans, blows off steam by poking fun at the endless three-ring circus known as the Trump Administration. However, Kimmel sometimes would poke fun at Melania's accent, something that many feel should be off-limits. She never  asked  to be First Lady, after all. This sparked a crude back-and-forth between Hannity and Kimmel.  The very back-and-forth that escalated, with Kimmel's jokes becoming homophobic and Hannity comparing Kimmel to an alleged rapist.  Yikes . When Kimmel suggested that Hannity and Trump were in a sexual relationship, he certainly intended for it to inflame and embarrass Hannity, who is not exactly known as a friend of the LGBT+ community. But the results are homophobic. Calling someone gay to upset them is pretty blatantly homophobic, regardless of your intentions. So it's good that Jimmy apologized. For the record, though, Sean Hannity used Jimmy Kimmel's appearance on that gross and sexist  The Man Show  (and yes, it was, even at the time) to compare him to Harvey Weinstein. Those women on that show signed up to be there. That's a far cry from, you know, the women who accuse Harvey Weinstein of harassing, threatening, and raping them. One worries that Hannity doesn't understand the distinction between gross behavior (for a television role) that has been unlearned and unforgivable acts of predation.  Will he accept Hannity's invitation? Some would wonder what the point could be. Hannity's politics speak for themselves. Anyone still watching his show isn't likely to be swayed. The only likely result is the normalization of Hannity's radically pro-Trump views and an undeserved ratings boost for Hannity. Kind of hard to see what Kimmel has to gain from that. But he might go for it. It's worth noting that Hannity also threatens to further embarrass Kimmel if the latter decides to reignite their feud.  He apparently tasked producers to come up with, we're guessing, a lot of dumb statements and awkward moments of him goggling at women on  The Man Show . Like Hannity, I agree that it would be nice to see fewer people take shots at Barron Trump, Melania Trump, and things like Trump's typically American diet.  (I'm a guy who eats kale-and-chicken burgers when I “get a burger,” but if someone wants to eat a bucket of KFC or whatever, more power to them) There are so many totally fair targets for ridicule. For example, almost everything else about Donald Trump.
