Michelle Duggar’s new “Marriage Advice For Newlyweds” blog post doesn’t call out Anna Duggar by name, but man alive, does it read like a cheap shot. In the post, which she penned Friday, Duggar matriarch Michelle urges newlywed and even pregnant wives to satisfy their man’s needs , ALL the time. Sharing advice a friend once gave her about marriage, she writes: “Anyone can iron Jim Bob’s shirt … he can get his lunch somewhere else.” “But you are the only one who can meet that special need that he has in his life for intimacy. You’re it. You’re the only one. So don’t forget that.” “He needs you. So when you are exhausted at the end of the day, and you fall into bed so exhausted at night, don’t forget about him.” “Because you and he are the only ones who can have that time together,” she urges. “No one else in the world can meet that need.” Michelle notes that pregnancy does NOT exempt a wife from this, and that you had better not just go through the motions, either: “Be available, and not just available, but be joyfully available for him. Smile and be willing to say, ‘Yes, sweetie I am here for you.’ No matter what.” “Even though you may be exhausted, big and pregnant and you may not feel like he feels. ‘I’m still here for you and I’m going to meet that need.'” “‘Because I know it’s a need for you.'” View Slideshow: Duggar Family Marriage Tips In fairness to Michelle, she goes on to say that by doing this for your husband, “he’ll lay down his life” for you and meet your “needs” 24/7 as well. Whether that’s true or not, who knows, and clearly her views on gender roles are extremely dated, but she does (somehow) see it as a two-way street. She also urges, separately, for couples to actively seek marriage counseling if they have problems and do handle their issues privately. Sage advice. Still, the fact that she doled out that bit of sex advice on the heels of Josh Duggar’s sex scandal is amazing, and brazenly insensitive … at best. Does Michelle believe, as the Duggar family pastor does, that Anna is to blame for Josh cheating on her by not “taking care of” his needs in bed? Was Michelle’s commentary a thinly-veiled dig at her daughter-in-law for not living up to her end of the bargain? Or was Anna not even on her mind? That we’ll never know. But reading this after porn addict Josh cheated on her with Danica Dillon , a second porn star and who knows who else he met on Ashley Madison?! You have to wonder what she’s implying, and you have to hope that Anna Duggar leaves Josh if this is the kind of “wisdom” his family still espouses. Man Dies In Car Crash Just Minutes After His Girlfriend Broke Up With Him Would you die for love? A British man died when his car hit a tree just minutes after his ex-girlfriend broke up with him. Via NY Daily Mail : Ben Blakey, 27, had driven 100 miles in a last-ditch bid to get back together with sweetheart Sheona Ryan. But when she told him there was no hope of rebuilding their relationship, he sped off and ploughed into a tree, an inquest heard. Blakey was described as being in an “agitated state” when drove off before hitting a traffic sign, performing a U-turn and accelerating down the road. A CCTV camera captured the moment his Volkswagen Polo inexplicably veered to the right, mounting a grass verge before smashing into the tree about 4:30 a.m. on May 16. The 27-year-old was taken to hospital but later died from head injuries, reported Mirror Online. A coroner said she did not believe Blakey, who was described by his family as “an inspiration,” meant to take his own life. “I am satisfied that he drove off in an emotional state and directed the car towards the tree,” Coroner Dianne Hocking said. “But I am not satisfied beyond reasonable doubt that he intended suicide as he appeared to have changed his mind at the last moment.” The hearing was told his car’s brake lights had come on indicating that he did brake. The car was traveling at 42 mph at the time of impact. His aunt Mary Jeffers said Blakey made a good impression on all who met him and had left a huge hole in people’s lives “that cannot be filled.” So sad!

Taylor Swift may have sang about a “Love Story,” but we don’t think this is the sort of happy ending she had in mind. Radar Online has photos of Calvin Harris leaving a Thai massage parlor in LA with a rather satisfied look on his face. Taylor, of course, is currently thousands of miles away, touring the Midwest on her 1989 tour. It’s worth noting that the rub-and-tug Harris sleepily moseyed out of today is the first result that comes up in a Google search for “best Thai massage happy ending.” However, in Calvin’s defense, many of the business’ Yelp reviews come from pissed-off men who did not, uh…find the release that they were looking for. If it turns out Calvin was receiving a full frontal massage, it’ll be the latest in a long line of strikes against a dude who once seemed to be Taylor’s perfect match. Last month, Calvin went off on Zayn Malik in what he probably thought was a chivalrous defense of Taylor’s virtue, but came off more as bizarre temper tantrum. Shortly thereafter, Calvin attacked Avril Lavigne on social media, again because of some perceived slight against Swift. His publicist denies the feud, it’s interesting that Swift brought Lavigne on stage just a few days later to show the world that there’s no bad blood.
