Sharon was 85. Sharon died at Sheba Medical Center in the Tel Aviv suburb of Tel Hashomer. The Israeli statesman was a national war hero to many Israelis for his leadership, both in uniform or as a civilian, during every Israeli war. Many in the Arab world called Sharon “the Butcher of Beirut” after he oversaw Israel’s 1982 invasion of Lebanon while serving as defense minister. According to Mail Online A couple and their three children have been found dead inside their Texas home in what police now believe is an apparent murder-suicide. The father of the slain children, Israel Alvarez, was arrested on a domestic assault charge less than two weeks before his body and that of his wife Guadalupe Ronquillo-Ovalle and their three young children were discovered. Alvarez’s father was the one to call police on Sunday night and report the slaying inside the family’s home in Rice, a town about 40 miles south of Dallas. The five bodies were all found with gunshots in their abdomens, and police are still awaiting autopsies as they try to determine who fired the fatal shots. Navarro County Sheriff Elmer Tanner said a rifle was found at the home. Investigators were trying to determine when the shootings took place, Tanner said, saying the children, ages 4, 8 and 12, were in school Thursday afternoon but missed classes Friday. Given the nature of the crime scene and Alverez’s criminal history, police do not believe that the killer is on the loose. ‘We have not seen anything yet that makes us think we need to go outside this location,’ Sheriff Tanner said early into the investigation. Alvarez was arrested September 11 on a misdemeanor family violence charge for pushing Ronquillo-Ovalle and taking away her phone because he thought she was talking to another man, she told deputies. ‘I don’t care where you are. A Manhattan woman was arrested Thursday for hiring a hit man to kill her husband in exchange for $60,000 in rare stamps and jewelry, the Daily News has learned. Elena Sava-Adams, 57, allegedly wanted banker husband Irving Adams to be run over by a car because of an argument they had over finances. The Israel Discount Bank of New York bigwig told police he’s been unemployed for five years, law enforcement sources said. “She’s at war with her husband over money,” a source told the News. The ruthless woman went to an intermediary, telling him she wanted her hubby to be lured to Brooklyn because she figured there would be fewer surveillance cameras there than in lower Manhattan, where the couple live. He told her the hit man would cost her $10,000, which she “upgraded” to a valuable jewelry and German stamp collection since she didn’t have the dough. SMH…..but there’s more…. But instead of cashing in on the postage labels and baubles, the intermediary went to cops at the 61 Precinct on Monday and disclosed the psycho spouse’s plans, the sources said.
