Autopsy results confirm that star James Gandolfini’s cause of death – he suffered a heart attack and died of natural causes – a family friend told the media. The 51-year-old’s sudden death instantly shocked and saddened fans Wednesday. As previously reported, Gandolfini had been visiting Italy with family. “Today we received the results of the autopsy, which stated he died of a heart attack, of natural causes,” Michael Kobold said in Rome on Friday. “The autopsy further states that nothing else was found in his system.” News that James Gandolfini died stunned his family most of all, and they plan to put his body back on a plane to the U.S. as soon as they get clearance. “We expect that to be Wednesday, maybe Thursday, but we will keep you informed,” Kobold said, noting that funeral is expected in NYC late next week. In a heartbreaking detail , the star’s manager confirmed that Michael, James Gandolfini’s 13-year-old son, found his father collapsed in his hotel room. The three-time Emmy winner was then transported to the Policlinico Umberto I hospital; paramedics tried in vain to revive Gandolfini en route to the hospital. Resuscitation maneuvers, including heart massage, continued for 40 minutes and then, seeing no electric activity from the heart, he was declared dead. R.I.P.

That statement is unofficial however, with respect to drugs or alcohol. Claudio Modini, the ER chief at the Italian hospital, says it looks like a heart attack, adding it was ” probably a natural cause of death, myocardial infarction.” James Gandolfini had acknowledged he’d been addicted to cocaine and alcohol, and that substance abuse played a part in his 2002 divorce. It’s premature to say if drugs or alcohol were a factor, here, and it has not been established what, if any, toxicology tests will be performed on the actor. Gandolfini’s death, which shocked the Hollywood community , took place Wednesday while on vacation in Italy with his teenage son from his first marriage. He is also survived by his current wife and baby daughter. James dined at an Italian restaurant – Ciampini in Rome – and was photographed during his meal shortly before he died, according to TMZ. After his cardiac event, doctors tried in vain for 40 minutes to resuscitate the actor, using heart massage and other methods, but it was no use. There was no electric activity from the heart, meaning he was probably deceased before he got to the hospital. There will be an autopsy performed. While nothing has been confirmed, doctors at the hospital seem fairly certain that he died of natural causes – a heart attack – at age 51. RIP.

I don’t usually do many posts on Amy Adams , mostly because I think she’s kind of boring and I’m always mixing her up with the redhead from The Office . My name is Ludovica, I’m 15 years old and I live in Rome, Italy . About two months have almost passed from when I accomplished my dream, and only today I have decided to write my Bieber experience. Everything started July 7th 2012 when they were putting tickets on sale for the Italiano date of the Believe Tour. I immediately bought a ticket and my heart was full of joy. 4 days later, I heard that they put VIP tickets on sale. I was amazed that they cost so much. I talked to my mother and my father and they immediately told me, “NO,” during the beginning of lunch. At the end, they surrendered, and let me get meet & greets shortly after. I bursted into cries of happiness, my dream would be coming true after 300 days, and after 4 years of supporting him. The days passed, and finally we approached the night of the concert, March 23rd 2013. Earlier, my parents and I departed from Rome to go to Bologna the before. I won’t ever forget the joy and anxiety that I had in my heart that day. On March 23, I was very tense, nervous and my heart beat a thousand beats. After getting ready and eating before hand, they finally made us go in line to meet Justin, and divided us into groups. While I was being in line surrounded by beliebers, I saw Kenny and Justin’s grandparents. Then I saw a boy that turned on a segaway, tears of joy went out of my eyes, it was him, I had just seen my idol. As I had anticipated, they divided us in groups from 5/6 people and then they made us enter one by one into the room. It was my turn. As the curtain opened and I saw him, the first thing that I noticed they were the tattoos and the fact that he wore both glasses and a hat. He welcomed me with his sweet voice saying, “Hi sweetie.” I didn’t even have the time to place my purse and jacket that I found me to his side, ready to unsheathe the most beautiful usual smile. Everything was ended in 20 seconds, the words jammed in my throat and the only thing that I succeeded in pronouncing was, “Thank you.” Justin looked me with a smile on the face while I was going out of the room. I will keep on believing in the ‘Never Say Never.’ Sooner or later I will hug him, I’m sure of it. The concert was amazing and the fact to hear his voice in person other than earphones is a beautiful thing. It’s crazy that politicians feel like it’s all good to speak like this in public… Italian Gov’t To Investigate Racism Targeting African Cabinet Member Cecile Kyenge Via Voice Of America The Italian government has ordered an inquiry into alleged racism on right-wing websites after slurs against the country’s first black cabinet minister. Italy’s new Cabinet was sworn in on Sunday, and Cecile Kyenge took the post as minister of integration. She is originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo and moved to Italy three decades ago. She is now an Italian citizen, is married to an Italian and has two children. But right-wing websites have posted a range of racial slurs against the country’s first black Cabinet member. A member of one website described Kyenge as a “Congolese Monkey.” On Wednesday the government ordered an investigation into the websites. The new equal opportunities minister who ordered the inquiry, Josefa Idem, described the comments as “vile racist epithets.” Comments about Kyenge’s race have not only appeared online. Speaking on the radio earlier this week, Italian politician Mario Borghezio from the Northern League party referred to the new government as a “bonga bonga government” and said that Africans “had not produced great genes.” Homie better watch his mouth before he ends up with a poison dart in his neck. Fifteen years after Denise Richards’ and Neve Campbell’s swimming-pool make-out session made Wild Thing s a cult hit, director John McNaughton says he and the film’s screewriter Stephen Peters are working on a continuation of the story that would involve those characters children and take its inspiration from the Amanda Knox case. If you didn’t see the Lifetime docudrama, Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy , that’s the tabloid-headline-generating case in which Knox, an American student in Italy, was initially convicted then acquitted of murdering her roommate Meredith Kercher during a rough sex game that involved two other men in 2007. (Italy’s highest court has since ordered a retrial.) McNaughton told Hollywood.com the following: “It’s not one of the sequels, but about their children,” he says. OK, that sounds odd, but just wait. It gets real crazy. “Do you know the Amanda Knox case? It’s something like that. Something that’s like the child of Suzie Toller [Campbell’s character], she claimed that Matt Dillon ‘s [character] had raped her a long time ago and maybe there is a child and maybe Bill Murray ‘s character had a child and they’re exchange students and things get out of hand. We’re calling it Wild Child Things .” Love the title, and, as the website pointed out, Richards and Campbell are “super available” these days. The big questions are whether Murray could be enticed into making a cameo if his seed actually figures into the plot, and whether Knox’s legal and public relations team, who have been battling hard to protect their client from all the “Foxy Knoxy” innuendo , will push back against McNaughton making the connection between his movie and the Italian melodrama. Along those same lines, Knox has been making the media rounds to promote her memoir Waiting to Be Heard , which tells her side of the story.
