A Swedish celebrity gossip magazine has just published photos of Kate Middleton topless and its sister publication in Denmark says it will follow suit this week. The unauthorized Kate Middleton photos have already been widely published in France, Italy, Ireland and on the Internet, despite the royal family’s best efforts. The latest publication in Sweden’s Se & Hor came as French police opened a criminal investigation into whether the infamous pics were an invasion of privacy. “It is nothing new to us to publish nude photos of celebrities on holiday,” said Carina Lofkvist, the chief editor of the Swedish celebrity magazine, on Thursday. She said Kate Moss, Demi Moore and Sharon Stone have all done the same thing. “No one complains when they do and we print the photos,” Lofkvist said. Sister publication Se & Hoer in Denmark will publish the pictures as well; they were offered 240 Kate Middleton photos but decided only to use 60-70 of them. Both magazines declined to say who specifically sold them the images or how much money they paid to acquire them, but it’s safe to say it wasn’t cheap. In France, a court ordered police to obtain information on Closer magazine employees after Kate and Prince William filed a criminal complaint against it. Marie-Christine Daubigney, an assistant prosecutor, said she instructed police to get the names of some Closer employees, including who wrote the article. Daubigney denied as “completely untrue” media reports that police raided Closer headquarters, but the magazine has been ordered to turn over all copies. While the royal family has already won some legal victories in a bid to stop the pics, they may be fighting a losing battle at the current rate of dissemination. Jersey Shore is going out on a high note, according to MTV, which is speaking out about its rationale behind canceling the hit show after six seasons. Executive VP of Programming Chris Linn says the cost of the cast was not factor, but “we always said we’d do the show as long as it made sense.” Long story short, that’s no longer really the case. “We noticed what was going on in their lives, with [ Snooki having her baby ], the relationships, etc. it felt like the right time to bring it to a close.” “The show still dominates, it’s the No. 1 show in our core demo, and it’s still incredibly successful. It’s really just about their lives evolving and changing in a way that moves everyone away from the original conceit of the show.” “We made what we think is the right, tough choice to end the show on top.” With Jersey Shore canceled after the coming season (debuting October 4), what kinds of things can we expect from the gang’s farewell tour? “What I think is most exciting about this season are the changes that have happened. This is the longest the cast has been apart between seasons,” Linn says. “There was time for new events to develop in their lives. Mike went into rehab and is coming back sober. Nicole is pregnant. Deena is in a different relationship.” “Sammi and Ronnie’s relationship has evolved. Their lives are at different stages and how they react and adapt to that is really fascinating to watch.” How much time did Snooki actually stay in the house? “It was really a matter of her wanting to be able to get proper rest at night and have a place she could go and relax. She moved into a place right next door, she spent the bulk of her time in the main [Jersey Shore] house,” he says. “The cast also came over to her place, so it gave us another place to go to. She’s very much present. It’s not in her character to not be in the middle of everything.” So what’s the major tension or storyline this fall? “The tension between Mike and Nicole definitely is a key storyline. My experience watching it, knowing it’s the last season, you see it through a different lens.” “It has a certain poignancy to it.” “In addition to the main 13 episodes, we have a significant amount of after-show content. We’ll have eight after-shows to give more context.” “We have the special look-back special the night of the VMAs (Sept. 6), it’s a ton of fun to look back at the biggest moments through the lens of ‘this is it.'” Is it possible the cast could be replaced with a new crop of guidos? “There are no plans for that … we’ve always been clear that this cast is lightning in a bottle. It’s not about the format, for us it’s always been about this cast.” What about a Snooki- Jionni LaValle wedding spectacular? “She’s been really focused on having a baby. This is another MBE of mine! I went from not meeting Justin or any members from his crew to meeting almost all of them in one week! In my last MBE it says how I met Scooter, Alfredo & Kenny, but on June 19th, 2012, the release of BELIEVE, I went to J&R for Justin’s CD signing. That was my first time meeting him and I was so happy that I cried! When it was my turn to get up on line to get my CD signed, I saw Manny (Alfredo & Kennys driver) I got close to him last time, he followed me on Twitter and he’s just amazing. Well when I saw him he noticed me first and was like, “HEY ESMA LOOK RIGHT BEHIND YOU. JUSTIN’S WAITING FOR YOU” then I turned around (there were 4-5 girls ahead of me in line getting the CD signed) so when I turned around Justin was looking at me and I was just speechless. It was my turn to get it signed and I told him, “Hey Justin I love you so much” (I was speechless, I didnt know what to say!) he goes like “Hey I love you too!” I talked with Kenny and he said he remembered me from a couple days ago. The signing was quick, but it meant the world to me. After we got it signed, we decided to go sit in Starbucks near J&R cause we were tired, but my friend called us from another Starbucks saying, “HURRY RYAN GOOD IS HERE” so we ran a block just to go see Ryan and I got a a picture with him! He said he loved my phone case and thought it was so cool, he was the sweetest ever! After Starbucks, we walked and saw all the girls lined up by their car so we went down the block knowing he’ll pass, so right when their car came we CHASED IT about 2-3 blocks! They said the first Escalade that came was Justin’s car so we were chasing that, but that was Alfredos & Kenny’s, and I was kinda slow and holding up the other car behind me & it kept honking at me in a rhythm kind of, so I thought the car wasnt exactly behind me but it was and I had no idea but continued to chase the first car and was still holding up the car behind me, TURNS OUT IT WAS JUSTIN BIEBERS CAR!! I felt so bad so I moved to the sidewalk & it zoomed across all of us. But knowing me, I was the idiot holding up their car. So before I knew that it was Justin’s car, (my friend told me that it was that car like an hour after) so before I tweeted ” I was just in front of @ AlfredoFlores ’s car blocking it & they were beeping at me to move but I didnt realize…….oops,” and he tweeted me back randomly “@AlfredoFlores: @EsmaIlyas lmao I blame YOU!! Be safe.” and I felt like the biggest idiot ever. Well hey, now I can say I blocked Justin Biebers car right?! Well I went from not meeting any of them for over 3 years, to all of this happening.
