You Can’t Be Serious: Man Sues Jagged Edge For Ruining His Wedding… Like They Have A Dime To Pay Him

Yes. Someone actually thinks these muhfuggahs have money. According to TMZ , a “ Jagged Edge fan” is suing the group because he claims they turned down a gig… The groom at the center of the controversy is Victor Diaz … who claims he wanted to surprise his fiancee by getting JE to perform their famous “Let’s Get Married” song at their wedding on November 19. Diaz claims he reached an agreement with the band’s reps … and shelled out $10k for the deposit and other costs — but the band never showed up. But … the band says they were never aware of the gig — telling TMZ Diaz must have been dealing with someone who falsely posed as a representative of the band. Diaz isn’t buyin’ it … and believes the band decided to flake on the wedding when they got an offer for a higher paying gig on the same weekend. Someone offered to pay Jagged Edge more than $10K to perform somewhere??? GTFOHWTBS! Diaz says he’s preparing to sue Jagged Edge, the record label and JE’s management company — telling TMZ, “They humiliated me and cost my wife her dream.” A rep for Jagged Edge tells us, “They are very heartbroken and sad that [Victor’s] wedding got destroyed due someone using our name without permission.” The rep adds, “As far as court goes … if the guy does decide to sue, good luck, because we didn’t agree to anything and he will see he had a forgery contract.” What the rep meant is “good luck, because these fools can’t even pay me to make this comment. Diaz should’ve just skipped all this foolishness and let cousin Papi sing at the wedding instead. More On Bossip! Exclusive Details: Is This Why Kyle From Jagged Edge Made Himself Look Like An A** At Q Parker’s Birthday Party?? [Video]

On Tuesday night, Marsha Ambrosius hosted a party in Atlanta celebrating the awesome specimen of man meatiness that is Q Parker on his birthday. It was a very well attended event, with some of the biggest names in Atlanta’s entertainment community in attendance, as you can see in the photos on page 2. That was a great bonus for the audience members, since Q chose to share the spolight, inviting several guests on stage to serenade the crowd. With all of Jagged Edge was present, Q also extended the invitation to them – which would have been a good look, since they are promoting an album or mixtape or something at the moment. For whatever reason, they kept declining. Then someone decided to let Kyle’s drunk/high/super lit a** go be the group’s spokesperson… SMDH. Someone pray for Kyle. He’s clearly going through some stuff. Now, if you’re wondering what R.L. could have possibly been apologizing about, a source tells us that the tension between R.L./Next and Jagged Edge dates back to the late 90s. According to our informant it revolves around an incident involving the girlfriend of one of the members of JE, who was also in a group herself; a surveillance camera; and a late night “mic” session with R.L. in the bathroom. Bet she’s glad sex tapes didn’t leak so easily back then. Can you guess who the girlfriend was? Flip for the pictures.

Jagged Edge Reflect On Their Favorite Songs

Quartet tell Mixtape Daily which of their tracks mean the most to them. By Jayson Rodriguez Jagged Edge Photo: MTV News Celebrity Favorites: Jagged Edge The four-man collective Jagged Edge are readying their next album, The Remedy, due later this month and featuring the standout cuts “Baby” and “Lay You Down.” It’s the veteran group’s seventh album, following the release of projects like J.E. Heartbreak and Jagged Little Thrill. And while J.E. are focused on the future — The Remedy is their second album released through their 581 Music imprint and first recorded under contract with Slip-N-Slide Records — here, they take a look back at their catalog and talk about some of their favorite tracks. Kyle Norman : “One of my favorite songs would be ‘Let’s Get Married.’ And it’s really written, of course, if you have any heart and soul you want to get married one day. And I heard it’s like one of the number-one wedding songs of all time, behind ‘Ribbon in the Sky.’ So for us to have a song like that being mentioned among the other great wedding songs, that means a lot. We were 19, 20 making that.” Brian Casey : “For me, I’d have to say it was our very first hit record, ‘Gotta Be.’ All of the above, it touched me at certain times in my life and what it has meant to my life. It was our first legitimate hit record. Your first hit record is so jarring, ’cause you go from nothing to something like that. And that song represents a lot for me.” Brandon Casey : “We all come from two-parent households, and we know we’re the rarity; most of our friends don’t. So, for me, it’s a song called ‘Nothing Without You.’ My dad always wrote poetry, and as much credit as my mom gets for our voice, because she sings, my dad doesn’t get much credit for our writing ability and, at least, our attempt to be poetic. So that song, my brother made mention to my dad, and every time I hear it, it just make me think of my dad.” Wingo : “The song ‘Respect’ came about because I had a friend, she was going through something crazy with one of her ex-boyfriends. He used to put his hands on her. She came by the studio, and the guys saw her one day after an episode. And we was like, ‘Let’s do a song about respect, guys keeping his hands off a woman.’ Women are God’s gift to man, it’s like dropping diamonds on the ground; you supposed to take care of them. It’s one of my favorite songs.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines .
