Fifty Shades of Grey Poster: One Year …

Fifty Shades of Grey is celebrating Valentine’s Day – the one-year mark before the film’s 2015 release – with a poster showing us our first glimpse of Ana Steele! In the first Fifty Shades of Grey poster , we saw Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey. In that image, the businessman gazes out his office window into the distance. the tagline: “Mr. Grey will see you now.” Here, we also see Christian from the back, only he’s turned to face Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson), his soon-to-be paramour and S&M plaything. The highly-anticipated film adaptation of E.L. James’ novel hits theaters on Valentine’s Day weekend next winter. A long wait, but good timing for such an event. Take a look at the first poster below: Johnson said in an interview this week that preparing for the role has been boring (seriously), but that’s just for the early stages of her English major character. As we all know, she falls hard for Christian Grey, as they embark on a hard core, domineering relationship … which has been the subject of debate. Just how true to the Fifty Shades of Grey book trilogy the films could impact how pleased the diehard fans are, as well as how many people pay to see it. Will they tone down the book for the sake of an R or even PG-13 rating? Or go all in for the NC-17 50 Shades sex-fest some readers are dying for? Fifty Shades of Grey: Tension Over Sex Scenes Continues on Set!

Things are getting heated on the Fifty Shades of Grey set, and we’re not talking about Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson naked and slapping bodies. Unfortunately. Amid rumors that the movie may be watered down to lure in a younger audience (and earn a higher box office gross) comes reports of more tension on set. Fifty Shades of Grey: Rated PG-13?! E.L. James and the film’s director Sam Taylor-Johnson aren’t exactly seeing eye to eye, insiders say, with the latter becoming irritated by the former’s input. It all comes down to the sex, says a source of the two butting heads : “E.L. James wants the movie to match the book exactly, but Sam has a different perspective. Sam is reminding E.L. she writes books and she makes movies.” Some say this confrontation was bound to happen sooner or later. As the director, Taylor-Johnson has to think about the bigger picture in terms of not only her vision, but how the final product will deliver for the studio. If that means earning a rating that will allow a wider audience to see it, then it’s going to be an option. If fans revolt, it might be a bad option … but it’ll be discussed. It’s also a fine line to walk. Clearly, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson have the chemistry and are ready to go all in, and the book became such a hit because of its racy content. Being 100 percent true to the book would be an eyefull. It might not translate to the screen, though, when it comes to delivering a box office blockbuster.  Can the two meet in the middle and reach a dual vision by February 13, 2015 (the Fifty Shades release date)? Lena Dunham Gushes Over Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey: No More Sex Murdering!

The star of Girls is having a fan girl moment. With Jamie Dornan cast as Christian Grey this week, Lena Dunham has taken to Twitter and made it clear: she’s on board with the selection of this British actor. Very, very, very much on board. “I’m a monstrous @JamieDornan1 fan,” Dunham Tweeted in response to the casting. She then referenced a BBC Two crime drama that featured Dornan as a serial killer and added: “Wasn’t allowed to be attracted to him on The Fall bc he played a sexmurderer. 50 Shades is my big chance… Wait, Christian Grey isn’t a murderer right?” Doran, of course, is taking over for Charlie Hunnam, who was originally chosen to lead the film adaption of this novel… but who then dropped out for unknown reasons. The 31-year old portrayed Sheriff Graham on Once Upon a Time Season 1 and has no major big screen experience in the States. But have you seen these shirtless Jamie Dornan photos ? There’s a reason most women aren’t exactly objecting to this news. Dunham – who is dating fun. guitarist, Jack Antonof – hilariously concluded that she once dated someone like Christian, writing: “(Wistfully) I had my own Christian Grey once. The first video of Kanye West proposing to Kim Kardashian has hit the Internet. But while we see the rapper down on one knee in the footage , and while we hear the orchestra and witness streams of loved ones rushing the field at AT&T Park to wish the newly-engaged couple all the best… we can’t really make out any true emotion in the clip. Cue Khloe Kardashian! The reality star posted a picture to Instagram today of her and Kylie Jenner “having a moment,” as she wrote in the caption, clearly overcome with happiness during the festivities. Prepare to be upset all over again, Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer fans: According to Variety, Jamie Dornan has been confirmed as the new lead in Fifty Shades of Grey . The British actor – best known Stateside for having portrayed Sheriff Graham on ABC’s Once Upon a Time – became an immediate favorite for the role of Christian Grey soon after Charlie Hunnam dropped out of the production a few weeks after landing the part. Various reasons have been given for Hunnam’s surprising departure – from his meager salary to his fear of the spotlight – but the actor recently attributed his decision to ” some family stuff going on .” Dornan played a serial killer on a BBC Two production titled “The Fall” and also appeared in Sofia Coppola’s “Marie Antoinette.” He’s also a former rugby player who is expecting his first child with wife Amelia Warner. The 31-year old will star in the big screen adaption of E.L. James’ wildly popular novel opposite Dakota Johnson, who remains on board as Anastasia Steele. Sam Taylor-Johnson will direct the movie. Dornan is clearly comfortable with taking his shirt off, having modeled for Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Armani. What do you think, ladies? Can you get behind this casting?
