Unable to move past the Jason Aldean cheating scandal of last year, this country singer and his wife are no longer living together. Sources tell Us Weekly that Alden and Jessica Ussery actually separated in January, as the latter simply has been unable to move on from her husband kissing former American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr . The incident was actually caught on camera. Says a rep for Aldean : “I can confirm that Jason and his wife are having problems, but there is nothing more to share at this time. It’s a private family matter, and we hope everyone will respect that he would like to keep it that way.” Ussery and Aldean have been an item since high school. In November, they appeared on CBS This Morning and said they were trying to work out their problems. “It hasn’t always been roses,” Aldean said at the time of the 11-year marriage. “We’ve been together for a long time and through a lot of things together. Those are things that most people get to deal with in private, but we didn’t have the luxury of doing that.” The singer and his wife are the parents of two daughters, Keeley and Kendyl.
Luke Bryan won Entertainer of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards last night, and no one was more surprised by this than Luke himself. Luke Bryan Wins at ACM Awards Bryan upset Miranda Lambert and her husband Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean and two-time Entertainer of the Year Taylor Swift to claim the top prize. The 36-year-old Georgia native, who is relatively new to the spotlight, recently began headlining his first arena tour, making his win a shock to many. “I don’t know what to say guys,” Bryan said. “Thank you so much, fans, for doing this to me. Thank you so much for making my life what it is.” “What I always wanted to be was just a country singer who got to ride on a tour bus and show up on a new stage and play music every night.” After an emotional speech, ACMA co-host Blake Shelton held his partner up and joked that he won in his “first and last year as co-host” of the awards. Bryan is the first male winner of the award since 2007 when Kenny Chesney claimed it. Swift and Carrie Underwood have won two apiece since then. Bryan’s win was the talk of Las Vegas Sunday night but Lambert again walked away as the academy’s trophy magnet, claiming three major honors. Did you think Luke deserved the top award?

The two weeks leading up to the Grammy Awards are when we finally get a good idea of who’s performing and who’s presenting. This year’s Grammy Awards, which is this Sunday at 8 p.m. on CBS, will feature about 22 songs being performed. The executive producer of the show says it’s going to be “one of the biggest shows” in the history of the Grammys. Chris Brown, Tony Bennett, and Carrie Underwood are the most recent performers who have been added to the lineup. This will be Chris Brown’s first Grammy performance in three years after he was arrested for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna at a pre-Grammy party in February 2009. He is nominated for three awards at the 2012 Grammys, including Best R&B Album for F.A.M.E. The Foo Fighters will participate in a “special performance highlighting dance/electronica music” at Sunday’s show and will collaborate with an unlikely crew that includes Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, David Guetta and Deadmau5. All five artists are nominated for Grammy Awards this year. Tony Bennett will duet with Carrie Underwood and Alicia Keys will lead an Etta James tribute alongside Bonnie Raitt. The Grammys announced last week that Adele will make her first performance after undergoing vocal-cord surgery. Previously announced Grammy performers include: Katy Perry, Jason Aldean, Kelly Clarkson, Glen Campbell, The Band Perry, Blake Shelton, Coldplay, Rihanna , Bruno Mars, Paul McCartney, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift.
Not only is Nicki Minaj nominated for three Grammy Awards including “ Best New Artist ” and “ Best Rap Album ,” the colorful femcee will being performing on music’s biggest night as well! She joins artists Bruno Mars, Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson, Foo Fighters, and Taylor Swift who are also set to hit the prestigious stage. By Gil Kaufman Nicki Minaj Photo: Getty Images The performer roster for the upcoming 54th annual Grammy Awards is beginning to fill out and Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift are among the nominated ladies who will take the stage on the show. They’ll have plenty of help from some of this year’s other nominees, as Kelly Clarkson, the Foo Fighters , Bruno Mars and Jason Aldean will also sing on the show. The show, which airs live on CBS on February 12, will mark the first Grammy performance for Aldean and Minaj. The Foos and Mars will go into the night with six nominations each, while Minaj is vying in four categories, including Best New Artist , where she’ll face off against Bon Iver, Skrillex, J. Cole and the Band Perry. Aldean and Swift are both up for three awards and Clarkson has two nominations. While many of the most decorated acts typically perform on the show, there is no word yet on whether the night’s leading nominee, Kanye West , who has seven nods, will play on the show. It’s also unknown if six-time-nominee Adele will be sufficiently recovered from her vocal surgery to make her comeback appearance on the broadcast. While Adele has not confirmed or denied her appearance, a recent report claimed that she is in talks to sing on the show now that she’s begun talking again with her doctor’s permission. Since she doesn’t want to rush back and injure her vocal cord again, the singer is reportedly waiting until early next month to decide if she can sing in public again. More performers, presenters and special segment will be announced in the coming weeks. Related Artists Nicki Minaj Foo Fighters Bruno Mars Kelly Clarkson Taylor Swift
Swift, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum and Brad Paisley are honored at the show, which premieres tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT. By Jocelyn Vena Taylor Swift Photo: CMT Taylor Swift turned 22 on Tuesday (December 13), and what better way to celebrate another banner year than with CMT’s Artists of the Year special? CMT caught up with Swift on the red carpet of the event, and she opened up about being honored alongside fellow Nashville pals Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum and Brad Paisley. “What I love about this event is it feels very low-key and fun and you can bring your friends, you sit at a table. It’s very unlike any other award show,” she said late last month at the taping in Music City. “Because you’re not sitting there wondering who’s going to win. There’s no anxiety, because you know who’s being honored, and it’s all about hearing the way the music is presented by other artists. It’s really exciting.” The All-American Rejects were picked to perform one of Taylor’s tracks at the show, which airs on CMT at 9 p.m. ET tonight. For their homage to the country superstar, they decided to take one of her particularly country-tinged Speak Now singles and do it up AAR style. “It’s special. We have a special performance for Miss Taylor Swift,” lead singer Tyson Ritter said. “We’re performing her song ‘Mean.’ We definitely sort of took a country song and made it not anything like what it was. It’s going to be a tribute to the fact that any song can stand in any genre, and we definitely brought it into ours. We’re like the Osmonds, except we’re the side that’s a little more rock and roll.” Ritter went on to gush about Swift and her work ethic. “She’s the real deal,” he explained. “She doesn’t take sh– from anybody while she does it. And strong women, that’s something to be feared and adored, right?” Having the All-American Rejects put their stamp on a track is the opposite of what Swift did on her Speak Now Tour . Stop after stop, she reimagined songs from artists like T.I. , Flo Rida and Usher, with the artists themselves right by her side. “I would sum up this past year as being a spontaneous, exciting, wonderful year of collaborations with artists I never expected would come up on my stage and perform for my fans,” she explained. “I see flashbacks of stadium shows and Usher coming out on stage and James Taylor coming out onstage and all these different artists coming out and playing with me, which was an amazing time for me.” Don’t miss CMT’s Artists of the Year , premiering tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
