Rumors about Beyonce and Jay Z getting divorced have been around for as long as the two biggest named in the hip hop/R&B world have been married. But lately they’ve been more persistent than ever, and in what may be a telling sign, the couple has done nothing to refute the claims that they’re ready to call it quits. Radar Online is reporting today that Jay and Beyonce are living in separate homes and seem to have no contact with one another these days. “Jay Z recently told his entire staff that he will not be needing them for another month,” says one insider. “He said that he has to take care of business and has a lot of traveling to do.” It’s an odd time for Hov to be spending time alone, as Bey is about to embark on a tour that will have her away from home for several for months. “As Beyonce prepares for her upcoming tour, Jay Z said that he is going to use the time to take care of his own business,” says the source. This comes on the heels of reports that the couple has been engaging in screaming matches so loud that they wake the neighbors . Insiders add that in the weeks before the couple took their leave of one another, Jay and Beyonce had been sleeping in separate rooms for several weeks.
Tyra Banks is leaving her talk show FABLife after two months. In related news, Tyra Banks had a talk show called FABLife apparently. Who knew?!? The latest daytime program to try and make like The View debuted just this past September. “This is a very difficult decision, but necessary,” said Banks in a statement, adding by way of explanation: “I will be devoting more time to my new, growing cosmetics company, TYRA Beauty, which is expanding faster than anticipated, as well as overseeing my company’s other entertainment ventures.” For those somehow unaware, FABLife is a program that features Chrissy Teigen , Joe Zee, Lauren Makk and Leah Ashley talking about food, makeovers, fashion, interior design and stuff in general that makes one’s life fabulous. Banks has been serving as co-host and executive producer; there are no plans for a replacement host, though we hear Rosie O’Donnell is available. As previously reported, meanwhile, Banks will also be closing the chapter on America’s Next Top Model. Last month, the annoying model revealed that Cycle 22 will be that long-running competition’s final season. “I truly believe it’s time,” Banks Tweeted at the time. “May your pics be forever fierce. As you may have heard, Jay Z’s music-streaming service Tidal isn’t doing so hot. It’s almost as though people weren’t crazy about the idea of shelling out more than they pay for Spotify just so some millionaire celebs could get even righer. Go figure! Anyway, Jay is reportedly embarrassed by Tidal’s failure, and sources say he’s been lashing out at some of the A-listers involved – sometimes literally. Pharrell Williams has been spotted rocking a black eye recently, and there have been rumors within the music industry that Jay knocked Pharrell cold after the latter tried to back out of his contract with Tidal. It may seem like a wild accusation to level at one of the successful moguls in hip hop, but before he matured into the laid-back family man we know today, Jay was known to get caught up in some occasional violence. (And no, we’re not talking about his elevator scuffle with Solange Knowles .) Several sources claimed to have witnessed the scuffle, but reps for both artists say it never happened. Pharrell’s people are telling TMZ that the black eye is the result of his wife accidentally hitting him in the face with a spatula. This may sound crazy, but we believe him. It’s one of those situations where if the man wanted to lie, he’d come up with a more believable story.
Hard as it may be to believe, the Carters are struggling at the moment. Sure, there’s a new round of rumors that Beyonce and Jay Z are getting divorced , but those pop up every few months. Right now, the more immediate concern for the First Couple of Hip Hop has to do with housing. They had been renting a lavish home in Holmby Hills, California, but now the place has found a buyer, and Bey and Jay declined to beat the $35 million offer. Of course, it’s also possible that all those rumors that the Carters are headed for a wildly expensive divorce are actually true. To be clear, that’s probably not the case, but we’d hate to let Jay-Bey divorce rumors slip by us the one time there’s actually any truth to them.
