Jenna Bush Hager, daughter of President George W. Bush, welcomed her first child , a girl named Margaret Laura, Saturday evening in New York City. The baby, who will go by Mila, is named after her grandmothers, one of whom is former First Lady Laura Bush. Here’s a photo of the happy family: “Both my girls are healthy and well,” new dad Henry Hager told Today , noting that Mila arrived a bit ahead of her due date but is healthy and happy. She weighed in at 6 lbs., 15 oz. and measures 19¼ inches long. Jenna Bush Hager, 32, is a contributor for the NBC morning show and shared a number of family photos, including another intimate moment with Mila below. As for Jenna’s dad, needless to say he’s excited. “We met our beautiful granddaughter [on Sunday],” the 43th President of the United States reports. “Jenna and Mila are healthy. And our family is elated.” Congratulations to the Bush and Hager families!!

Jenna Jameson had an interesting birthday celebration Saturday night. The porn star emeritus was arrested for battery in Newport Beach. Law enforcement sources say Jenna was hanging out in the Orange County city’s Balboa Peninsula neighborhood when she allegedly battered someone. The alleged victim put Jameson under citizen’s arrest (seriously) and then flagged down a police officer, who cited Jenna for battery and later released her. Jameson was supposed to attend an early birthday party in her honor (the star turns 39 Tuesday) at Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim later that night. No word if she made it or not. Jenna Jameson is no stranger to handcuffs, and we don’t mean that in a kinky way. She was arrested for a DUI last year after crashing her car into a pole. She also made headlines for accusing husband Tito Ortiz of battery.

The number of messages peaked again around the time of the royal wedding in April – and the coolest thing about it is that a return address guarantees a reply. “There was everything from posters made by classes of schoolchildren to cards sent by other members of the public,” says a Palace aide of the letters to the royals. A group of junior girl guides – called Rainbows – in Glasgow sent a congratulations card, and then got word that the Duke and Duchess were “immensely touched.” Workers in the couple’s office in St. James’s Palace are still going through all the letters and cards in a bid to answer them, which they say they do … eventually. “It will take quite a while for the small team to get to answer them all, but everyone gets a reply if there is a return address,” says a Palace aide of the fan mail. But two years later their problems got worse and worse.” A source close to Mazeau takes issue with that perspective , however. “Like most marriages, they had their share of ups and downs over the years, but despite what’s been reported in the press, they were not split before Jenna and Courtney began their relationship,” the Mazeau source says emphatically. What was Mazeau’s reaction to Lyons’s news about Crangi? “When Jenna told Vincent she was pursuing a romantic relationship with Courtney, it was quite a painful revelation, as Courtney and her partner and their children had been close friends of Jenna and Vincent’s for years,” the Mazeau source says. “They had spent many weekends, holidays and vacations together. Dr. Conrad Murray was dealt a considerable blow today as the judge in his involuntary manslaughter trial – which begins this fall – ruled that 16 hours of Michael Jackson rehearsal footage is impertinent to Murray’s defense. Murray’s lawyers claimed that the tapes, taken before Jackson’s ill-fated 2009 This Is It tour , showed him to be in chronically poor, declining health. The judge disagreed . Dr. Murray’s told it to the judge … who wasn’t buying it . Dr. Conrad Murray’s lawyers wanted the outtakes to prove Jackson was very ill in the days before his death, and therefore – since he was already dying, or so his theory suggests – Dr. Murray can’t be held responsible for his death. But Judge Michael Pastor ruled the outtakes were valuable to Sony (which didn’t want to release them and has them protected by armed guards ), and also ruled that the videos do not show MJ in noticeably bad health. Because the hours of video show, in the judge’s opinion, a reasonably healthy MJ, it undercuts Dr. Murray’s theory that MJ was a lost cause .
