Angelina Jolie is making the media rounds for her directorial debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey , but the mom of six tackles difficult subjects in real life as well as on film. The actress, 36, and her partner Brad Pitt, 47, are trying to balance their busy careers with raising Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5 and Knox and Vivienne, 3. Like us, the brood is getting more curious about their marital status by the year … When Nightline asked if she has plans to marry Brad. Her response: “The kids asked me the other day and I asked if it was just because they wanted to have a big cake.” “They see movies that have the people getting married… you know, the happily ever after. Shrek and Fiona are married … We have explained that our commitment when we decided to start a family was the greatest commitment you could possibly have.” “Once you have six children, you’re … you’re committed.” True, in a sense. The couple has offered a number of different explanations for not tying the knot over the years, and despite celebrity gossip reports every few months suggesting a secret wedding is in the works … none is in the works. Celebrity of the Year Finalist #9: Jennifer Lopez

It’s that time of the year again. With 2011 drawing to a close, THG is here to present our 5th annual Celebrity of the Year Award. Before we arrive at the top spot, however, we’re counting down from number-10, honoring those that delivered the best scandals, most raunchy sex tapes and most ridiculous shenanigans of the past 12 months. The rankings kicked off last week with everyone’s favorite trainwreck, Lindsay Lohan . Now, it’s on to number-9 and the bootylicious artist who returned to national consciousness after years out of the spotlight… Jennifer Lopez ! J. Lo was named a new American Idol judge in late 2010 and didn’t waste any time using TV’s top-rated show to get her wayward career back on track. She released a new single as soon as season 10 premiered; she quickly established herself as a panelist who, like Paula Abdul, grew emotionally-invested in contestants – remember this crying clip ? – but, unlike Paula Abdul, was not insane. Lopez offered sharp commentary and critiques without the snark of Simon or the repetitiveness of Randy. She also took full advantage of high-definition televisions to remind the world: I AM GORGEOUS. After rising to prominence once again via Idol , Jennifer took a couple of strategic steps to ensure she’d remain in the headlines even after season 10 concluded: She dragged out contract negotiations . She was involved in a potential sex tape scandal . Even Kris Jenner had to be impressed by these savvy moves. Then, July hit – and J. Lo morphed back into a tabloid favorite due to her divorce from Marc Anthony. How was she dealing with the split? Did Anthony really cheat on her with a stewardess? With Jada Pinkett Smith ?!? The chatter kept coming, but Lopez remained mostly quiet, staying above it all in interviews and simply saying she still believed in love. Has she found it now with 24-year old backup dancer Casper Smart ? Probably not. But these two appear to be having a good time and, after the year we just described, can you blame Lopez for wanting to have some naked fun with a guy nearly half her age? Neither can we. We’ve missed Jennifer Lopez, we’re glad 2011 brought her back into our lives and, like Pitbull in the image above, we’re anxious to stand back and watch to see what 2012 brings for this beauty.

She’s on a world tour with her much younger man… According to TMZ reports : Jennifer Lopez’s 24-year-old backup dancer boyfriend Casper Smart is still living the high life — hitching a private jet with his Latin cougar to fly from L.A. to Morocco this week. Casper and his sugar mama of two are set to perform at a Moroccan mall — but before they got down to business, they were spotted having a romantic dinner at a place called Rick’s Cafe in Casablanca. Casey Anthony, iPhone Top Yahoo Searches For 2011

Justin Bieber ruled Bing this year, but technological marvels and accused child killers topped the year in Yahoo! searches. The iPhone and Casey Anthony were 1-2! In the 11 years that Yahoo! has compiled its annual list of top searches , PlayStation 2 (2001 and 2002) is the only other device to have captured the top slot. This year, the iPhone led the queries, and against stiff competition – America’s Most Hated, America’s Most Wanted and Kim Kardashian all made the top 10! The iPhone has been around for four years, but this year it expanded beyond AT&T for the first time. Plus, the iPhone 4S and its built-in assistant Siri are kind of the $h!t. It also embodied the vision of Apple co-founder and longtime CEO Steve Jobs, who left his post as the company’s chief in August and passed away on October 5. R.I.P. Casey Anthony had the dubious honor of being the most searched person. Many were outraged by a not guilty verdict that set her free. Others were just fascinated by her. He may not have gotten publicly married and then quickly divorced; and the tabloids may not conjure up new stories every week about how he might steal back his famous ex ; but Justin Bieber still reigned supreme in 2011. At least for those who wished to Bing and Decide. The 17-year old superstar was the most searched-for person in 2011 on that website, rising five spots from his 2010 ranking of number-six. The Biebs bumped Kim Kardashian down to number-two in the process, while Jennifer Aniston rounded out the top three. Sandra Bullock, Tiger Woods, Michael Jackson, Jesse James, Kate Gosselin and Barack Obama were all ranked in the top 10 a year ago, but folks apparently stopped caring about cheating husbands; spoiled reality stars; and the leader of the free world in 2011. Jennifer Lopez Planning Greatest-Hits Album

Since releasing her debut album, On the 6, in 1999, J.Lo has commanded pop radio with tracks like “If You Had My Love,” “I’m Real,” “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” and “Jenny From the Block.” And she hasn’t stopped. This year, she released Love?, featuring club bangers like “On the Floor.” Now, J.Lo plans to give her fans a proper greatest-hits album. “I just got the call a week ago that the greatest-hits album for Jennifer Lopez is coming up,” vocal producer Kuk Harrell told MTV News. “Now I’m just waiting for them to put on the schedule [and] let me know what songs we’re actually cutting and stuff like that.” While he didn’t have too many details about what fans should expect on the album, Harrell did share who else Jenny is hitting the studio with. “I think [when] I find out what the direction is, I will definitely go in the lab. I will get in the lab with Tricky Stewart and The-Dream and see what we can come up with for it.” Harrell has certainly been busy this year. He worked with Rihanna on her Talk That Talk album , Justin Bieber on Under the Mistletoe (and will work with him again on his next album) and now has plans to hook up with Lopez. He’s grateful for all the opportunities he’s been given. “I’m so fortunate to be able to work with Rihanna and Justin Bieber … and Jennifer Lopez for that matter, so anytime a call comes in to work with the three of them, it’s always ‘yes,’ because it’s just assumed [it’ll be good],” he said. “They’re superstars, so how are you going to turn them down? Unless we have a scheduling conflict, but it’s always a ‘yes.’ It’s always an immediate ‘we’re gonna kill it.’ That’s when my competitive edge comes out. It has to be the best. Lady Gaga To Debut ‘Marry The Night’ Video Thursday

Autobiographical clip, shot in various New York City locations, will premiere on E! By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: Ethan Miller/ Getty Images On Thursday, Lady Gaga will officially “Marry the Night.” The singer announced on Twitter that she’ll premiere her highly anticipated video for the song on E! Directed by Mother Monster herself, it marks the first time she’s ever directed a video completely on her own. Gaga previously directed clips in collaboration with her Haus or former creative director Laurieann Gibson . Shot at various locations in New York City in October, including the Snug Harbor Cultural Center in Staten Island , Gaga weaves an autobiographical tale in the new clip. At another NYC location, Gaga was spotted rolling around on the roof of a car . In a preview released earlier this month, a “Girl, Interrupted”-type story line was teased. In it, Gaga is rolled on a gurney through a mental ward. She goes on a long monologue about the nature of memory and art: “When I look back on my life, it’s not that I don’t want to see things exactly as they happened, it’s just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way.” In her Thanksgiving Day TV special last week, Gaga teased another part of the “Marry the Night” video. The clip references films like “Fame,” with Gaga donning leggings and a tube top and practicing a dance routine at a studio. During a trip to India, Gaga opened up a bit about shooting the clip and being a first-time director. “It has been a wonderful experience. I worked alongside director of photography Darius Khondji, who is an absolutely amazing DP, and I worked with Gideon Ponte, who is an incredible art director,” she explained. “So I’m looking forward to sharing this autobiographical video with the world. By James Montgomery Justin Bieber Photo: FilmMagic Having already bested Lady Gaga in the race to 2 billion YouTube views, Justin Bieber can now lay claim to another e-title: He’s just been named the year’s most-searched person on Internet search engine Bing, edging out his old pal Kim Kardashian for the title. Yes, Bieber sits atop Bing’s annual list of the most-searched people of 2011, making the leap from #6 on last year’s list and knocking Kardashian down from the top spot, which she held last year. Jennifer Aniston came in at #3 on the list (up from #9 in 2010), and a whole host of other females — including Lindsay Lohan, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus — round out the top 10. Bieber was the only male to make Bing’s most-searched people list, which last year featured Jesse James, Michael Jackson, Tiger Woods and Barack Obama (who plummeted from #5 to #49 in 2011 … always a good sign in the lead-up to an election) in the top 10. T-Boz Files For Bankruptcy

TLC singer T-Boz has filed for bankruptcy. According to TMZ , T-Boz aka Tionne Watkins filed for bankruptcy last month and currently owes collectors $768,642, mostly from mortgages on her $1.2 million house. T-Boz is not a big spender as she takes in $11,700 a month in income, with monthly expenses totaling $8,821. She might have dodged the bankruptcy bullet if she’d been able to collect the child support she claims she’s owed — which according to the docs is $250,000. Things have not been easy for the singer recently, she’s battling Sickle Cell Anemia, along with discovering that she had a brain tumor that she’d been battling for three years. Casper Smart who?!? Despite rumors that link Jennifer Lopez to her back-up dancer , sources tell Us Weekly this singer spent a night alone with ex-husband Marc Anthony on November 8, as J. Lo touched down in Puerto Rico in honor of the former couple’s talent competition Q’Viva! The Chosen . Anthony picked Lopez at the airport and “Marc never stayed in his hotel room,” an insider says … if we know what he or she means! Describing the divorce as an emotional “roller coaster” for both parties, the mole says future hook-ups are also “inevitable” because Anthony “has this hold” over his ex. Still, another friend wants to make it clear: “They may sleep together, but they’re over!” Sure. And sometimes they’re under. And sometimes they’re side-by-side or upside down. We get it.
