After her concert last night, Jenny took to the ‘gram to show a lil’ bit of what her hard work in the gym has gotten her. We’re all better because of it. J. Former Playboy centerfold Holly Madison is now free to play the field once again. According to various outlets, her marriage to Pasquale Rotella is over after five years. The couple exchanged vows in 2013 (at Disneyland!) and share two uniquely-named kids together, daughter Rainbow Aurora and son Forest. TMZ has obtained the legal documents filed by Rotella and says he entered them into official record back on August 31. Madison, of course, rose to fame after dating Hugh Hefner for many years; along with Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt, she helped anchor the E! reality series The Girls Next Door many years ago. About two years after her split from the much older Playboy founder, Madison started dating Rotella. She welcomed a baby girl in March of 2015 and announced her engagement three months later. While Madison and Kendra have had quite a falling out, Marquardt served as one of Holly’s bridesmaids at her wedding. “Everybody got to go on the ride as we were taking pictures after. It was really fun,” Holly told E! News a week after her Disney-themed nuptials, adding that they also had a private Fantasmic! showing and a reception in New Orleans Square. As for what caused an end to this once-blissful union? It’s not entirely clear at the moment. But it doesn’t sound like there was much drama; one insider says the romance simply “fizzled out,” which does happen on occasion we guess. Rotella, however, has retained a high-powered lawyer and is looking to keep the divorce case sealed, according to Radar Online. Way back in 2016, around the last time we even wrote about or thought about Madison, the ex-Playmate confessed that she used to be worried about her naked past catching up with her. “I was definitely embarrassed. It was the elephant in the room,” she told People Magazine at the time about both having dated Hefner and so often posed nude. After a string of failed romances, Madison said she was afraid she might never find “the one.” “I wondered, ‘Is this because I spent my 20s at the Mansion?’ I worried I missed my chance because I was there the whole time,” she said years ago. “I got to a point where I was trying to adjust my mindset and think, ‘Okay, am I going to be happy without that picture of marriage and family?’ The hardest part was just feeling really alone.” Now, sadly, she’s alone once again. But not like she once was: Madison is now the mother of two young kids. She has come QUITE a long way from her days as a Playboy model, that’s for certain. The 2018 MTV Video Music Awards proved that both Jennifer Lopez and Madonna pretty much never age or change. The former was honored with a lifetime achievement award at the ceremony and also put on an incredible performance that showed off her dance moves and her ridiculous body. The latter, meanwhile, stood on stage and was tasked with paying tribute to Aretha Franklin, the truly legendary singer who passed away last week from cancer . But most viewers think she made this tribute all about herself. Following a video of Franklin’s “I Say a Little Prayer” on a big screen, members of the audience – including Lopez and Camila Cabello – were reduced to tears as they remembered the iconic artist. Madonna then spent her segment in front of the crowed rambling on about the impact Franklin had on her career. This maybe, possibly could have worked. Madonna could maybe, possibly have brought everything back around and used her tale as a way to depict the enormous impact Aretha had on the entire music industry. Instead, though, she barely even mentioned Franklin by name. At one point, for example, Madonna shared her experience at an audition where she sang Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” in a last-minute decision after she had failed to bring sheet music or prepare another song. Okay… She explained that she ended up belting out this track “by heart,” acapella. And then said that the two men for whom she was auditioning didn’t believe “some skinny-ass white girl” was going to “[sing] a song by one of the greatest soul singers that ever lived.” No one watching had any idea what this had to do with Franklin herself. It just sounded like Madonna giving herself a great deal of props. Social media was quick to erupt with criticism for the strange, self-serving way in which The Material Girl essentially ignored the entire point of this Franklin tribute. Madonna did end up saying at least a few nice words about Franklin. She concluded her rambling speech as follows: “I want to thank you, Aretha, for empowering all of us. R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Long live the queen.” But the damage had already been done. Some folks are even calling for an apology to be issued, as explained by these two individuals on Twitter: I hope the vmas plan to issue a public apology for allowing Madonna to disrespect Aretha Franklin’s legacy like that #VMAs. “I’m so lost. I thought Madonna was supposed to be paying homage to Aretha but I all heard was her paying homage to herself. Come on, you are probably thinking. Could this have been all THAT bad?
