Jinger Duggar & Jeremy Vuolo: Are They Moving Too Fast?

If you  watch Counting On online , you know that the second season of TLC’s  19 Kids spin-off is largely centered around one Duggar. Specifically, Jinger Duggar and her blossing romance with her handsome former-pro-soccer-player-turned-pastor fiance, Jeremy Vuolo. But while Jinge and Jer appear to be fully head-over-heels for one another, it seems that not everyone in her family is quite as psyched By all accounts, Jeremy seems like a great guy. The pace at which they seem to be rushing to the altar has caused some issues, though. We first learned that Jinger and Jeremy were courting back in June. Just five weeks later, the couple announced their engagement. Needless to say, the the soon-to-be newlyweds are moving very quickly, even by Duggar standards. For obvious reasons, that’s not unusual in a family in which physical contact beyond hand-holding is prohibited before marriage, and procreation is viewed as the ultimate goal of existence. All of her older siblings have sprinted past the usual relationship milestones at breakneck speed, but none of them moved quite as  Now, we know that not everyone is happy with the pace at which Jinger and Jeremy are moving, and it seems the nay-sayers more than happy to make their feelings known. On this week’s episode of Counting On , Jessa Duggar openly admitted that Jeremy is a good friend of her husband, Ben Seewald, she often feels her sister’s courtship is moving too quickly. “Jeremy and Ben are really good friends,” Jessa told the camera. “Ben would say one of his best friends. Now Jeremy’s getting to know my sister. It’s kinda crazy. It feels kinda too fast sometimes for me.” Jinger’s father, Jim Bob Duggar, has similarly made no secret about his misgivings. In fact, he’s personally taken his concerns up with Jeremy, telling his future son-in-law that he’s concerned Vuolo won’t be able to properly support a family on his ” modest pastor’s salary .” But in fairness, to Jinger and Jeremy, they’re really not progressing at a much faster rate than Jinger’s older sisters, Jill and Jessa, who also got engaged after very brief courtship periods. That may be why many fans believe that Jim Bob’s issue isn’t that Jeremy is moving too fast – it’s with Jeremy himself. And when you look at the relationships of his older daughters, it’s not hard to see why: Jim Bob hand-picked Derick Dillard – who was on a missionary trip at the time – for his daughter Jill, and the couple got engaged before they even met (on a chaste date with Jim Bob serving as chaperone). As for Ben Seewald, he was hired by Jim Bob and moved in with the Duggars (in a wing far from the girls’ quarters, of course) shortly after he met Jill, thus keeping him squarely under the Duggar patriarch’s thumb. Both men were Arkansas natives who were seriously indebted to JB. Jeremy, by contrast, is a former pro athlete, and a Philadelphia native who currently resides in Laredo, Texas. Jim Bob has made it clear that he does not want Jinger moving to Laredo with Jeremy after the wedding, but it seems she’s already got her mind made up. View Slideshow: Jinger Duggar Photos: From Childhood to Courtship! Jim Bob didn’t even want the wedding to take place outside of Arkansas, but he’s already lost that battle. Jinger has made it clear that she’ll get married wherever she wants – and she recently took a wedding planning trip to Texas. Looks like Amy Duggar isn’t the only (very mildly) rebellious one in the family after all!

Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo Get Chaperoned, Wet in Counting On Sneak Peek

Counting On’s Jinger Duggar may not follow her family’s courtship playbook as closely as Jim Bob might like, but she still has boundaries. In other words, chaperones. In a sneak peek of Tuesday’s Counting On Season 2 Episode 5, the sixth eldest Duggar goes on a fun date with future husband Jeremy Vuolo. And three siblings. Jeremy, Jinger and her siblings Jeremiah, Jedidiah and Joy-Anna Duggar will visit a local amusement park to race go-karts and more. Much more. “We have to kinda watch and keep an eye on ‘em,” Jedidiah says, and when the competition turns to bumper boats, things to go another level. Jinger decides to share a boat with Jeremy for a “teamwork” edge; Jinger’s brothers take notice and in response, spray them with water. “That was just like calling for an instant shower blessing,” Jeremiah says, and while Jeremy takes it in stride, Jinger is less than thrilled. Hey, when you break courtship rules left and right, the younger siblings are going to be taking their chaperone rules all the more seriously. We can’t be having any more full frontal hugs now, can we? No, although the way these two are going, it may be a moot point shortly. We can expect Jeremy to “browse for engagement rings” with her sister Jessa Seewald’s husband Ben on this week’s installment as well. While Jim Bob disapproves of Jeremy Vuolo  – or at least made it clear he doesn’t want Jinger to move too fast – he may have met his match. These two are so smitten it’s almost nauseating. Or actually nauseating, if you’re some fans who are taking issue with Jinger’s propensity for turning “babe” into a three-syllable word. And saying it approximately 75 times. View Slideshow: Jinger Duggar Photos: From Childhood to Courtship! “I felt a bit embarrassed by the ‘baaabe’ talk,” one fan wrote following last week’s courting-heavy show. “I don’t know about this courting thing.” “Jinger has gone from being very sheltered and home all the time to having a boyfriend to talking of marriage in a mere 60 days or so.” “Emotionally she almost doesn’t seem like she is able to handle it. The ‘babe’ thing is a little much. She repeats it over and over.” “It seems awkward to have a camera following her around at such an emotionally vulerable [sic] time. Is it really a healthy thing?”  A fair question, but one that could also be applied to so many of the Duggar family’s rules for dating, courting, marriage, sex and life: View Slideshow: 13 Things BANNED in the Duggar Family

Ariel Winter Posts Photos of Butt, Encourages Fans to Do the Same

You may want to sit down before you read any further, because we have some news that’s sure to shock you to your core and make you question everything you thought you knew about existence: Ready? Deep breath: Ariel Winter has a butt . Yes, we know, if you’ve seen Ariel Winter’s Instagram , then you’re well aware that she has a butt, but believe it or not, there are folks out there who don’t follow the Modern Family actress online. They just leave her page sitting there like some sort of digital winning lottery ticket that they can’t be bothered to pick up. Even worse, the all too common breed of anonymous beast known as the Internet Troll frequently pops up on Ariel’s page to shame her for flaunting her awe-inspiring curves for the benefit of her millions of followers. Fortunately, Ms. Winter has no trouble brushing the dirt off her shoulders: “I don’t really think I’m telling myself, ‘You should post this, you shouldn’t post that,’ I feel like I’m just having fun,” Winter recently told Entertainment Tonight . “I like my fans to see what I’m doing.” She says the butt kerfuffle in particular had her baffled: “Everybody is so hyped up on the fact that I post photos where my butt’s out. It’s a butt. Everyone has a butt,” Winter says. “I don’t think it’s crazy. “It’s like, ‘Let me live! I’m enjoying my life, you’re enjoying your life, you should be posting your butt if you like it, too!'” And she has a simple solution for those who don’t like her epic belfies: “I’m not going to fight with someone on my Instagram that tells me they don’t like my outfit or I should put my butt away,” she explains. “I’m sorry you think I should put my butt away, but just unfollow me.” Damn straight, haters. If you don’t like what you see, smash that “unfollow” button. Ariel credits one of her curvy co-stars with giving her the strength to share what she wants to share regardless of what others may think: “I really had the greatest opportunity to have some wonderful role models, especially Sofia Vergara,” Winter shared. “Working with a curvy beautiful woman that everybody looked up to and loved the way she looked… that was my inspiration to move forward and accept myself because that’s what matters.” Importantly, in this same interview, Ariel confirms that she’s single , having recently split with boyfriend Claude Gaudette. “I’ve just kinda like been single for a little while now,” Winter said. “I’ve enjoyed it, and if something happens, it happens.” So there you have it. Now, you can enjoy photos of Ariel’s butt and pretend you have a chance with her! Bonus! View Slideshow: Ariel Winter: 33 Pics of Our Favorite Modern Family Star!

Counting On Preview: Jinger Duggar In Love! Jeremy Vuolo Proposes!

It's all happening for Jinger Duggar. The 26-year-old (Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's sixth oldest child of 19), has been courting former pro soccer player Jeremy Vuolo, 28.   The couple, who got engaged on July 25th , had been introduced by Jinger's brother-in-law, Ben Seewald in May 2015. In a new preview for Counting On  (below) the Duggars at first seem skeptical of Vuolo. Jessa Seewald, 23, initially thougth Vuolo was messing with her younger sister's heart. “I thought, 'This guy — surely he has another girl already,'” she confessed. “But we'd found out that he didn't!” Vuolo appears to be a very sincere, very kind guy.  Over coffee with Jim Bob, Vuolo asked for permission to court Jinger.   “I just wanted to speak with you about having the opportunity to court your daughter,” Vuolo said nervously.   Jim Bob gave the athlete a blank stare, which either indicated he didn't approve, or proved there's not a lot happening in that procreation-lovin' brain of his. TLC knows that viewers are most interested in the courtship (“I am completely in love,” Jinger gushed during an interview), but there's also a small focus on Jill and Derick Dillard, who are grappling with bringing another child into the world due to their work in Central America. “We are hoping to have a child in the near future,” Jill said. “There are a lot of dangerous realities that do come with living in a place like Central America,” Derrick admitted. “You know, kidnapping, rape, murder. Those are realities here everyone has to face on a daily basis.  It's a lot different from back home in Arkansas.” What Derick failed to mention was the threat of Zika virus, an epidemic that is spreading wildly throughout the Americas.  The virus is known to cause a severe defect in newborns, and experts have not yet found a vaccine. Anyhoo, courtships and engagements!  That's what the Duggars do!   A new season of Counting On premieres August 23rd at 8 p.m. on TLC.
