Rihanna Poses Nude On ‘Only Girl (In The World)’ Cover

Art for first single from Loud shows singer with long, red hairdo. By James Dinh Rihanna (file) Photo: Jamie McCarthy/ WireImage Rihanna has ditched her clothes (and her short hairdo) for the cover art of her new single “Only Girl (In The World).” In the photo, which surfaced on Rap-Up.com , the Barbadian pop singer is seen crouched down in a field, wearing nothing but jewelry and holding a rose-embroidered dress that is bright red; her hair is long and wavy and a similar shade. “Only Girl (In The World)” is the first release from the singer’s fifth album, Loud . Earlier this week, Rihanna chatted with fans about the album’s direction , saying, “I made sure not to let you down with my music! You guys are always defending me, so now you’ve got some great songs to justify it. I didn’t want to go backward and remake [2007’s] Good Girl Gone Bad .” In addition to the cover art, the singer’s official website has been revamped to showcase her most recent tattoo, which says “rebelle fleur” (French for “rebel flower”). The New York Post reported that the singer recently shot advertisements for her debut fragrance, Reb’l Fleur, at New York complex Chelsea Piers with the help of Frank Ginsberg. This isn’t the first time that Rihanna has stripped down for a photo shoot. Last year, she wrapped her bare torso in barbed wire for the cover of her single “Russian Roulette” and posed topless for the cover of “Wait Your Turn.” What do you think of the cover of Rihanna’s new single? Weezer’s ‘Memories’ Video Promises Skateboarding, Silly Hats

Clip featuring the cast of ‘Jackass 3-D’ premieres today at 5 p.m. By Kyle Anderson, with reporting by Matt Elias Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo Photo: Tim Mosenfelder/ Getty Images The lyrics to Weezer’s new single, “Memories” (from their forthcoming eighth album, Hurley ) paint a picture of the band back when they first began playing clubs and trying to scrape together a living on the backs of the songs from their landmark self-titled debut. “I had been married for a few months and had been in school for the semester before that, and basically I had been away from the band and the rock world for a while,” frontman Rivers Cuomo told MTV News. “I was really missing it, and just sitting there alone in my room missing the fans and missing my band, so ‘Memories’ is about getting back in there.” So when they decided to shoot the video — which premieres Thursday (September 9) on MTV, right after an all-new episode of “Jersey Shore” — it’s no wonder the group decided to call some old friends. Those friends? Johnny Knoxville, Wee Man, Chris Pontius, Steve-O and the rest of the crew from “Jackass” (who also happen to have a brand-new movie, “Jackass 3-D,” hitting theaters in October). They got together for what “Jackass” director Jeff Tremaine calls “an old-school skate jam,” featuring a cavalcade of extreme tricks in and around an empty pool. Like most Weezer videos, “Memories” relied on unpredictability. “We’re kind of making it up as we go along, to be honest,” Knoxville told MTV News when we visited the set last month. “We brought funny hats and some Super 8 cameras. I think that’s the video. Are we over-selling it?” With the low-fi cameras and the rapid-fire editing, the “Memories” video closely resembles a DIY skate video from the ’80s — something the guys went for on purpose, starting with the location. “It really is a legendary spot,” Tremaine said. “It made sense once we decided what we were doing. It’s from ‘The Search for Animal Chin,’ a legendary skate video from back in the ’80s — ’87 or ’86 — that the Bones Brigade made. That was Tony Hawk’s team. They filmed in here, and it became an old, classic skate spot.” Don’t miss the premiere of Weezer’s “Memories” video on MTV, Thursday (September 9) at 5 p.m.

Bruno Mars Premieres ‘Just The Way You Are’ Video

Romantic clip debuts at MTV.com Wednesday (September 8). By Hillary Crosley Bruno Mars in his video for “Just the Way You Are” Photo: Atlantic Bruno Mars ‘ romantic chorus on the B.o.B-led hit “Nothin’ On You” isn’t the last of his sweet lyrics. The Hawaiian-born singer released a creative clip for his single “Just the Way You Are” on Wednesday (September 8) at MTV.com. Sporting a feathered fedora, denim jacket and a smile, the singer-songwriter charms viewers in the stripped-down video, which uses animation to exemplify Bruno’s adoration for his lady. Taking a cassette, Mars stretches out the tape inside to reveal animated interpretations of his lyrics. From a flattering drawing of his lady to a mock-up of the singer himself behind a piano, the concept is eye-catching. “Her eyes, her eyes make the stars look like they’re not shining/ Her hair, her hair falling perfectly without her trying/ She’s so beautiful and I tell her every day,” he sings. On the heels of two top singles, “Nothin’ On You” and “Billionaire,” featuring Mars on the chorus, the singer released a four-song EP titled It’s Better if You Don’t Understand in May. Mars told MTV News that the project was a collection of “songs in my back pocket and the label thought it’d be a good time to give people a little taste of what they’re gonna get with the album. The EP came together real nice; you’re gonna get a nice effect of what’s in store.” Now Mars is getting ready to release his debut full-length album via Atlantic Records and gearing up for his live performance at the 2010 MTV VMAs. The 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on September 12. The party starts with MTV News’ VMA Pre-Show at 8 p.m., followed by the main event at 9 p.m. ET. Fans can go to VMA.MTV.com (or text VMA to 97979 if they are Verizon subscribers) to vote for Best New Artist from now through Sunday. Related Artists Bruno Mars
