I’ve seen a lot of see through tops and dresses throughout the years, that’s how I got into this business, but I’ve got to say I kinda like this one that Julianne Hough wore to some party the other night. Apparently Jessica Simpson’s naked, pregnant body on the cover of April’s Elle magazine has not been well received by those at Safeway supermarkets. The attention-grabbing photo of Jessica Simpson nude has been covered up with pieces of cardboard and/or turned around, the Arizona Daily Star reports. A spokeswoman for the grocery chain said it made the move to censor the cover following “multiple complaints” about the Fashion Star mentor’s photo. Simpson said in an interview that that Demi Moore and Britney Spears -like fully nude, pregnant cover pic was all her idea. Well, and their idea. But in this case: “They didn’t even ask me to do that,” she said on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show. “It was my idea. It kind of just seemed a natural thing for me to do.” “I’m like 170 pounds and I wanted to pose nude,” she explained. “I try to be like 110. The 31-year-old former actress and singer shared that her baby shower had a “Charlotte’s Web” theme including fun activities and munchies like fried Oreos. Jessica Simpson is about to pop. On Sunday, in honor of that fact, the star was joined by more than 50 of her close friends and family, including her Texas family members and stars like Grey’s Anatomy ‘s Ellen Pompeo, Jess’ sister Ashlee and Jessica Alba, for a baby shower! Aside from the big names, it was a pretty standard soiree. “It was a kid friendly shower with many of her friends bringing babies,” a source says. “Jessica [Alba] brought her baby Haven and Ashlee brought Bronx.” Earlier this month, the singer/actress/designer confirmed to Elle (which features Jessica Simpson nude on its cover) that she is expecting a baby girl. Coming as no surprise, pink and yellow was the surrounding color theme of the day, with tube-shaped balloons and spring tulips throughout the venue. “She received tons of gifts mostly wrapped in pink boxes,” adds the source. “There were several books, stuffed toys and clothes among other items.” “She seemed completely ecstatic” an eyewitness added. NFL star Brandon Marshall has been accused of – and denied – punching a woman in the face at a New York nightclub despite detailed reports to the contrary. According to reports, the wide receiver was outside a club in Chelsea around 4 a.m. last Sunday morning when he got into an argument with a group of people. He allegedly threw a punch that connected with 24-year-old Christin Myles. It’s unclear at this time if Brandon Marshall intended to strike the woman … or if she was collateral damage as Brandon was trying to KO someone else. Either way, Myles says she suffered a black eye and filed a police report . According to the New York Post , Myles was nervous about filing because of Brandon’s high profile status, but ultimately she decided to go through with it. But Marshall’s lawyer says the 6’4″, 230-pounder did NOT strike Myles, however, claiming she was hurt in a DIFFERENT brawl that went down at the club. Remind us never to go out to said unnamed club. BTW: Marshall was just unloaded by the Miami Dolphins in a trade to the Chicago Bears for a couple of draft picks. Nicely played by the ‘Phins.
