Diddy is expanding his Bad Boy empire! The mogul is reportedly planning the launch of a music-themed cable network by the end of the year titled “Revolt.” Sources describe it as a music and music news channel with an urban skew. One described it as the old days of MTV, but for an African American audience. Diddy is reportedly in talks with Comcast and Time Warner Cable (TWC) to distribute Revolt. The music mogul handpicked a BEAUTIFUL cast of up-and-coming models and actors to star in his new “Rat Pack”-inspired ad, titled “Art Of Celebration.” The ladies include models Eva Marcille, Jessica White, Chrissy Teigen (girlfriend of John Legend), Lisa Seiffert, Jerica Lamens, Jing Ma, and actress Dania Ramirez (“Entourage”). The men include actors Jesse Williams (“Grey’s Anatomy”), Michael K. Williams (“The Wire” & “Boardwalk Empire”), Chad Michael Murray (“One Tree Hill”), Aaron Paul (“Breaking Bad”), Frank Vincent (“The Sopranos”) and singer Chris Jones. The promo clip features the famous song “Luck Be A Lady” of which Diddy said: “Frank Sinatra made some of the most iconic records of our time; it is truly an honor to use his music again for this campaign. All we can say is PREACH! Writer and MSNBC contributor has drawn some criticism for her outspoken criticism of Washington politics as usual and crooked azz Corporate America during an interview Wednesday. Taylor was asked about the catastrophic effect of the recession on minorities and she went IN on the folks she feels are responsible: “Catastrophic is right, you know. If you look at African-american and Hispanic households, fully a third of them report zero wealth. Not even a dollar in positive wealth. A lot of that wealth was tied up in the homes that they spent more than 75% of their income either buying or maintaining, and so when those homes were taken away, the wealth went with it. “If you put on top of that affordable health care and access to health insurance, then, you know, most of the bankruptcies in this country, especially from black and brown people, are driven because of health care costs, and so when you ask yourself what has happened to black and brown Americans, I can tell you what happened to them. “Corporate America happened to them. People who are, you know, literally raping these people over medical costs, exorbitant medical costs and then to turn around and swipe the homes that they worked their lives to build, you know, over some subprime lending issues. So I think that we ought to re-examine our priorities as a country and re-examine how to go forward. Well this is expected, right?? It may have been Kelly Rowland’s party, but it turned into Beyoncé’s room. The sultry “Single Ladies” songstress took part in a Destiny’s Child reunion at the Top of the Standard on Tuesday night, but only after her former bandmates came to her. With her husband, Jay-Z, out on the West Coast, Beyoncé showed up at the Standard Hotel hot spot accompanied only by a security detail. Upon her arrival around 1 a.m., Beyoncé’s bodyguards initially seemed to be leading her toward the back of the club where Rowland was celebrating the release of her third solo album, “Here I Am,” with the third member of Destiny’s Child, Michelle Williams, and British pop star Estelle. But then the script got flipped. Although the crowd had thinned considerably by the time Beyoncé arrived, her appearance caused quite a stir among the remaining revelers. As a result, her handlers seemed to think better of ferrying Beyoncé through the clamoring crowd to the back of the room. Instead, they installed the diva in one of the club’s front banquettes and brought Rowland to her. The security detail also set about preventing anyone from snapping Sasha Fierce’s picture. One bodyguard went so far as to shine his flashlight in the faces of would-be shutterbugs. When Rowland arrived at her former band-mate’s banquette, the two reunited with a very long hug. Before the reunited pop trio left the club together around 2 a.m., Rowland took to the microphone to thank those who’d attended, including singer Maxwell, model Jessica White, actress Tika Sumpter and Kanye West protégé Big Sean. The deejay then played the first single from Rowland’s album, “Motivation,” and it lived up to its title.
