Ain’t isht mamas are a worldwide phenomenon. According to NY Daily News reports : A Colombian mother has been busted pimping out her 12 young daughters after selling their virginities for just $200 each, police said. Margarita de Jesus Zapata Moreno, 45, was detained in Bogota earlier this week after one of her girls, now 16 and pregnant, contacted police. The teen was reportedly angry after her mother ordered her to abort her child. Tito Cornelio Daza, 51, allegedly the baby’s father, was also arrested. Univision reports that Moreno, who has a total of 14 children, would sell their virginities once they turned 12 years old. She would then allegedly force them to prostitute themselves to pay the bills. “It hurts that a mother would do this,” police Chief Carlos Melendez, investigating the case, told reporters. “The mother contacted highly solvent but depraved men so they could have sex with the minors when they turned 12,” he added. Moreno, who has denied the allegations, faces 10 years in prison if convicted. She currently remains at El Buen Pastro prison, while Daza is being held at Modelo Prison. Both are accused of carnal abuse of a minor under 14, and the enforcement of prostitution. Moreno’s two children not subjected to the sex work, a boy of 11 and a girl of 9, are reportedly in the care of social services. The daughter who reported her mother is now receiving psychological help from the Colombian Family Welfare Institute. SMH. Too bad it took abortion threats to get this girl to turn her mom in. Maybe if one of the older girls had said something sooner it could have prevented the younger sisters from being exploited. Our thoughts and prayers are with those kids. Prince George’s christening took place today at St. James Palace in London, with parents Kate Middleton and Prince William beaming proudly from ear to ear. As the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge pulled up in a dark blue sedan and made their way to the courtyard, a tiny cry could be heard from the guest of honor. William held his baby boy, who was wearing the traditional lace-and-silk baptismal robe, first fashioned for Queen Victoria’s son, the future King Edward VII, in 1841. Kate Middleton wore a cream-colored skirt suit and matching fascinator by Alexander McQueen, whose creative director, Sarah Burton, also designed her wedding dress. She also donned a matching hat by Jane Taylor and had her long hair brushed to the side for the special event, which was small by royal standards. The queen and her husband Prince Philip attended the event Wednesday, along with Prince Charles, his wife Camilla, Prince Harry and other royals. Kate’s parents Michael and Carole, and her sister Pippa Middleton and brother James Middleton were also on the guest list, but not many more made the cut. Prince George Christened Prince George Waves at Christening William and Kate have asked seven people to be Prince George’s godparents . His cousin Zara Phillips is on the list, which consists mostly of old friends. Born on July 22, the youngster is third in line for the British throne. Pippa Middleton read from the Gospel of St. Luke and Prince Harry read from the Gospel of St. John at the intimate gathering, palace officials said. Palace officials said tradition would be followed and water from the River Jordan – where Christians believe Jesus Christ was baptized – would be used. Prince Charles and wife Camilla plan to host a private tea afterward at their Clarence House residence, following the taking of some formal portraits. Expect a multi-generational photograph of the queen with three future monarchs: her son Charles, her grandson William and her great-grandson George. Jesus take the wheel… Massive Colorado Flood Claims 4 Lives & Leaves Hundreds Missing Fellow residents, emergency respondents, law enforcement and others are overwhelmed in the aftermath of an unprecedented flood that engulfed Colorado towns in at least 15 inches of rain earlier this week. via CNN The mission for emergency responders in northern Colorado Saturday: “To bring order to a chaotic situation,” as an incident commander put it. Waters receded some in the flood-devastated areas, but the rains were expected to fall heavy once again over the weekend. At least four people have been killed and 172 are unaccounted for, officials say. The number of missing peaked at 218 and is expected to continue to shrink. “We’re assuming some of them have been stranded, we’re assuming that some made their way out and simply haven’t contact us or friends and family to get off the list, we’re assuming that there may be further loss of life or injuries,” Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle said. “It’s a sinking feeling,” Pelle said, knowing that emergency responders may not be able to reach everyone who needs help. The nightmare is far from over as the state awaits more rainfall, threatening to send swollen rivers gushing through streets choked with debris. It will not be as much as the 15 inches dumped in some spots this week, but it could cause more flooding in areas where water has already receded, forecasters warned. This is crazy!
