Groping is already on everyone's mind this week with all the TSA pat-down business, so we wanted to take a moment to salute this anonymous New Yorker who took a stand against a subway perv. The unidentified redhead was on the train when a creep approached her with his condom-covered junk out, and instead of turning away or quietly being squicked out, the woman made a big scene and her fellow passengers started filming. The video posted over on Jezebel, and the rest is history. Our favorite part? When she tells the perp, “My plans are done for the night. I'm escorting you to the police station. Female Daily Show Staffers Prove Their Existence in Rebuttal to Jezebel

Where is Eve Ensler when you need her? Back on June 23rd, Jezebel writer Irin Carmon wrote a somewhat scathing critique of The Daily Show — spurred on by the tryout and potential hiring of geek pin-up Olivia Munn — succinctly summed up by its title, “The Daily Show ‘s Woman Problem.” What followed was a series of mostly off-the-record quotes and comments from former female staffers that painted the offices of the Comedy Central cultural kingpin with the same brush that might be used for a frat house or at least the Harvard Lampoon. Now, the female staffers of The Daily Show have responded with snark worthy of Stewart himself.

For us, the viewing public, Jersey Shore is the Platonic ideal of train-wreck television, but for MTV, the network that’s trying to profit from it, the show is looking like more of a disaster with paltry ratings and advertiser headaches. Before the show even started Italian-America groups were up in arms about it, and after the premiere, Dominos pizza pulled its advertising as did American Family Insurance
