We just love it when YouTube sensations use their newfound star power for good. Heck, we love it when anyone does that! Jill and Kevin Heinz, the newlyweds now forever known for their..
Did The Bachelorette find herself a two-timer? That was the question put to the newly engaged Jillian Harris as she and made-for-TV fiancé Ed Swiderski appeared on Good Morning..
The date was June 4. That’s eight full days after Ed Swiderski got down on one knee and popped the question to Jillian Harris on the teary season finale of The Bachelorette . That was when he railed Lindsey Johnson, according to Us Weekly
The Bachelorette star Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski would like to simply be celebrating their engagement, but he finds himself being hit with allegations that he was not faithful – and was in two (!) relationships while filming the show.
Lindsey Johnson and Bethany Steffen both claim that Ed, a Chicago computer software consultant, was stringing them along while he was wooing Jillian on TV.
And that he continued to do so even after he and Harris got engaged.
Some reports have claimed Jillian Harris feels “betrayed” by her final rose recipient and that her relationship with Ed Swiderski has been “destroyed.”
Not so, says the Canadian cutie.
“I am not destroyed!” Harris said in an interview. “There’s a little bit of anxiety that comes with this news, but I am absolutely not destroyed.”
Was – or is – Ed Swiderski two-timing Jillian Harris?
“What did he do wrong?” Jillian asks. “My big concern is with everything that happened after the day we got engaged, and after we got engaged he has been so open with me. He’s told me all of this, every text message and every phone call.”
“I use his computer. I know that any communication he had with these girls after [The Bachelorette] was strictly platonic. I’m not worried about it.”
Last month, Ed Swiderski talked about Lindsey Johnson: “When I left for this show we were not dating, but I certainly still had feelings for her.”
A forgiving Harris says she understands that with previous relationships “feelings and emotions are involved. I know what it feels like to fall in love with somebody and to be in love with somebody [while] they are in love with somebody else.”
“It’s very heartbreaking,” she says. “I feel so awful, but since we’ve been home and since we’ve been engaged we’ve been exclusive and he’s done nothing wrong.”
For her part, Jillian Harris says the shoe has been on the other foot, as she’s been in a similar situation with “exes that are still in love with me, they want to go to dinner and stuff and I’ve had to tell them I can’t do that stuff.”
A better example is what she was going through the days before The Bachelorette finale, when she chose Ed over Kiptyn Locke: “I was falling in love with two other guys two days before we got engaged. That’s a double standard.”
“If he had feelings for these two other girls, that’s normal.”
As for how she and Ed are getting through this time, she says, “Ed and I are trying to find humor in this – and there isn’t much – but it’s bringing us closer.”
The best solution, she says is for them to “get out of the limelight” and focus on their relationship. “I think he feels very bad that I’m getting dragged into this and he feels bad for the girls as well.”
Jillian Harris promises everything is “going strong in our relationship.”
The couple have a trip to Las Vegas planned later this week.
“We talked last night about how much fun we’re going to have in Vegas and he said to me ‘I can’t wait to get married to you. Our relationship is very legitimate and it’s only getting stronger. We’re a team and we’re going to get through this.”
Jillian Harris is engaged to Ed Swiderski after giving him the final rose on a teary, fairly uncontroversial finale of The Bachelorette . That means the rumors of Ed having a Chicago girlfriend (or ex-girlfriend) the whole time were bogus, right
Not that we expected BacheloretteJillian Harris and her fiancé Ed Swiderski to be kaput already, but just in case there was any curiosity, the TV couple is still going strong.
In fact, the lovebirds were in Ed’s hometown of Chicago last night, having dinner with some friends. They dined at SUSHISAMBA Rio. Among their pals were last Bachelor season’s Natalie Getz, along with her new beau Mike “Speedo Mike” Steinberg, who originally vied against Ed for Jillian’s love on the Bachelorette.
“Jillian and Ed were completely adorable all night with their guests,” a source tells us. “They definitely showed some affection and kept the entire table entertained.”
Reid Rosenthal, the third runner-up on The Bachelorette who shocked viewers after returning to the show, getting down on one knee and proposing to Jillian Harris on Monday’s season finale – is still hurting over his rejections. “I thought I was the best guy with her,” he said. “I knew I wanted to spend tomorrow [with her]
So here’s Anderson Cooper on his show tonight talking to Erica Hill about an innocent little interview he did with ABC’s Bachelorette, Jillian Harris. But then a clip from the interview is played and Cooper immediately inquires about the sexing.
The interview in question took place yesterday on Live With Regis and Kelly while Cooper was filling in for Regis Philbin. You have to kind of admire him for cutting to the chase and asking the question that so many wonder but dare never to ask, and then turning around and defending himself with such animated vigor. Then again, he is the son of an octogenarian smut-peddler, so it kind of figures that he’d dive right in and ask about the boning that went on behind the scenes on the show.
But the highlight of the clip may actually be when Harris replies that she kissed ten guys on the show, provoking Cooper to say, “You know what…I just threw up in my mouth a little.” Oh come on Andy—really?
Sure, it’s kind of the nature of The Bachelorette, but Anderson Cooper did not hold back when asking Jillian Harris about juggling so many men on the show.
Filling in on Good Morning America, AC sat down with Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski to discuss the just-completed fifth season of the ABC reality series.
His first question: “How many men did you have sex with?”
Clearly uncomfortable with the line of questioning, Ed Swiderski tried to defer to his fiancee, and said that like everything else in life, “you get used to it.”
Jill didn’t bite on some of the more risque questions, but did give us a little insight into all the kissing that went on over the course of three months.
Jillian Harris: “I kissed, um, 10 guys, but only four of them with tongue.” Anderson Cooper: “You know what, I just threw up in my mouth.”
