Did The Bachelorette find herself a two-timer? That was the question put to the newly engaged Jillian Harris as she and made-for-TV fiancé Ed Swiderski appeared on Good Morning..
The date was June 4. That’s eight full days after Ed Swiderski got down on one knee and popped the question to Jillian Harris on the teary season finale of The Bachelorette . That was when he railed Lindsey Johnson, according to Us Weekly
Jillian Harris is engaged to Ed Swiderski after giving him the final rose on a teary, fairly uncontroversial finale of The Bachelorette . That means the rumors of Ed having a Chicago girlfriend (or ex-girlfriend) the whole time were bogus, right
Reid Rosenthal, the third runner-up on The Bachelorette who shocked viewers after returning to the show, getting down on one knee and proposing to Jillian Harris on Monday’s season finale – is still hurting over his rejections. “I thought I was the best guy with her,” he said. “I knew I wanted to spend tomorrow [with her]
Sure, it’s kind of the nature of The Bachelorette, but Anderson Cooper did not hold back when asking Jillian Harris about juggling so many men on the show.
Filling in on Good Morning America, AC sat down with Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski to discuss the just-completed fifth season of the ABC reality series.
His first question: “How many men did you have sex with?”
Clearly uncomfortable with the line of questioning, Ed Swiderski tried to defer to his fiancee, and said that like everything else in life, “you get used to it.”
Jill didn’t bite on some of the more risque questions, but did give us a little insight into all the kissing that went on over the course of three months.
Jillian Harris: “I kissed, um, 10 guys, but only four of them with tongue.” Anderson Cooper: “You know what, I just threw up in my mouth.”

Now that Ed Swiderski and Jillian Harris are together, and the dust has settled after the memorable season of The Bachelorette that ended in their engagement, speculation is already swirling over who will be the next star of The Bachelor .
Having gotten engaged to Ed Swiderski on The Bachelorette finale, then gone public with him on the “After the Final Rose” special last night, Jillian Harris is retiring from blogging for good. But not before posting one last cute entry!
Not only are Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski still together, they are smitten and planning on getting married within the next 12 months. We wish them all the best.
Here’s what Jillian – with special guest Ed – had to say about engagement, their journey on The Bachelorette, and what’s next as they begin their life together …
“Well … that’s a wrap! I will keep this post short and sweet as I have an eager man waiting for me and wanting to get OUT IN PUBLIC together … FINALLY!”
“A wise man once said, ‘Love, it don’t come easy’ – and that is so true. I can honestly say I have found my best friend but it didn’t come without consequences.”
“Aside from the crying, surprises, drama, criticism and most importantly, hurting two incredible men that I will never forget – please know that it broke my heart.”
“I never imagined in a million years I would have to let two men go that I love so dearly in order to be with the man that I want to spend the rest of my life with.”
Ed Swiderski and Jillian Harris on The Bachelorette, and in real life.
“Reid and Kiptyn are unbelievable men. Some have opinions of why I should have picked one or the other. Some see why Ed was perfect for me from the start.”
“I embrace ALL of your opinions. I can see why you would all think ALL three of these men would be great for me. For those who want to congratulate my happiness, THANK YOU!!! We are both EXTREMELY happy (still) and it gets better every day.”
“The ‘After the Final Rose’ was not easy. Not for me, and not for Reid or Kiptyn I’m sure. I felt like there was no right way to deal with the situation.”
“I have always been very close with my exes but have never had to confront them in a setting like this before so I was definitely hurting. There are so many fabulous memories and so many sensitive ones. All I can say is that I am lucky.”
“As I type this, Ed and I are off to our FIRST outing in public, hopefully just wings and beer! I am so excited and so eager to get my normal little life back.”
“Ed and I have spent the summer together (every two weeks for five days at a time) and it truly does keep on getting better and better. We have so much fun together.”
“Oh wait – someone’s stealing my computer!”
“Ed here! I cannot believe the journey that we have experienced over the last few months. But we are having a blast and could not be happier.”
“I want to thank everyone for their support and cheering us on.”
“Jilly and I have been spending so much time together and have an incredible summer planned. THANK YOU for believing in Jilly and supporting her through this.”
“She truly means the world to me and I promise you all that I will take good care of her. We are ready for a wicked life together! – Ed”
“Well, I better get going. Mr. Invisible is waiting patiently. Love you ALL, thank you soooo much!!!! I would not have gotten through this without all of your support. XOXOXOX and ALL MY LOVE, Jillian”
Despite rumors that he had a girlfriend in Chicago the whole time, and that they broke up shortly after getting engaged on The Bachelorette last night, Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski are still together, in love and happy as can be.
Appearing as an engaged couple for the first time on Tuesday’s “After the Final Rose” special, the future Mr. and Mrs. Ed Swiderski gushed about each other.
Looks like it’s for real, too.
The pair announced that Jillian is moving to Chicago to live with Ed on September 1, and that they are planning on getting married within the next 12 months!
Before the details on Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski, the “After the Final Rose” special killed a good amount time with an update on Melissa Rycroft.
Not that we don’t love Melissa. We just know she was dumped by Jason Mesnick, went on Dancing with the Stars and got engaged to Tye Strickland.
A clearly uncomfortable Kiptyn Locke was then forced to relive his rejection at the hands of Jillian on The Bachelorette season finale. And it still hurt.
Kiptyn said he has no regrets about the events that transpired on The Bachelorette, and was very genuine in everything he said and did on the show.
Then it was Reid Rosenthal’s turn on the hot seat. For him, there certainly were regrets, but not about his journey back to Hawaii, only prior to that.
Despite Reid’s outpouring of emotion, Jillian said even if he had told her how he felt sooner, she still would have chosen Ed. Awkward, but honest.
A 12-year-old in the audience then asked Reid out. He declined, courteously.
Reid’s first talk with Jillian since the season finale was no less difficult.
When it was finally Ed’s turn to take the stage on “After the Final Rose,” Jillian Harris beamed. Ed breathed a sigh of relief that they can finally “go public.”
Ed Swiderski said he wanted to propose to Jillian after their date in Spain, and for whatever it’s worth, they seemed rather smitten with one another on stage.
Finally, Chris Harrison called Ed out on his “mankini” shorts and an audience member asked him about his performance anxiety. No issues there, thankfully.
