Duggar Date Night: Married Couples Pile Into Van, Ditch Kids With Jana

The Duggar family took date night to a new level Sunday, as Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar joined kids Josh, Jill, and Jessa, and their spouses for an evening of fun. The rest of their 19 Kids and Counting? At home with Jana Duggar , obviously. Josh, Jill and Jessa Duggar, and their spouses Anna Duggar, Derick Dillard and Ben Seewald, joined Jim Bob and Michelle for a photo Josh put up on Twitter. “Quadruple-date with these people!” the 26-year-old father of three children himself (soon to be four) captioned the photo of the family posing in a minivan. That family really needs a customized, stretch minivan of some kind. The quadruple Duggar date follows Jessa and Jill’s double date earlier this month with husbands Ben and Derick, which put to rest whispers of a feud. There had been talk of Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar feud , but a dinner party put that to rest. Jill wrote: “@jessaseewald and @ben_seewald are here for dinner!” “So fun hanging out with our siblings! #familydinnner #19kids.” You know who hangs out with her siblings a lot? Jana Duggar, the family’s oldest daughter, and the one left in charge of the little ones in many situations. Or when anyone in the family does anything, basically. Duggar Family "Does Not Approve" of Extended Family Members’ Lifestyle, Sources Say

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar do not approve of their daughter-in-law Anna Duggar’s sister Susanna Keller and her liberal lifestyle, according to reports. Essentially, Susanna Keller has been ostracized from the family, and if they do come face-to-face with her, the single mom must follow a set of rules. A friend of the 22-year-old mother of Noelle, nearly 2, says the family was upset when the little girl started dancing at a Duggar family event last summer. While the younger Duggar siblings were singing in a Texas hotel room, Noelle began to dance. “She was dancing around, it was so adorable,” the friend says. But not to the 19 Kids and Counting clan: “The Duggars started laughing nervously. It was obvious that they felt very uncomfortable with me allowing her to dance.” The Duggars deemed dancing “too sensual.” Susanna’s parents Mike and Suzette have accepted their daughter’s decision to live a modern life as a single mother, unlike the pregnant Anna Duggar . Dave Grohl: Don’t Smoke Weed and Watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians!

Nirvana and Foo Fighters rocker Dave Grohl opens up in a new interview with The Sun (UK) about why he doesn’t smoke weed or do drugs anymore. Spoiler alert: It somehow involves Keeping Up With the Kardashians! “I stopped doing drugs when I was about 20 years old,” he recalls. “But just recently I thought, ‘Oh I’m going to start smoking pot again to cure insomnia.'” “I’d put the kids to bed, go upstairs and smoke a little pot. But then I’d get stuck in front of the Kardashians on TV for 45 minutes. And it freaked me out.” “I was like, ‘I’m never doing this ever again.’ It’s definitely not for me.” Hilarious bottom line: If you insist that you must watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians online , fine. If you wish to smoke weed, that’s your decision. Combine the two and prepare for downright scary results, though. It can hard enough to stomach, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Scott, Kanye, Kris, Bruce, Brody, Brandon, Kendall and Kylie Jenner doing their thing while sober. Can you imagine adding some controlled substances to the mix? We can’t. And thanks to Dave, we will know from his experience that any fleeting temptation to do so is surely misguided. John David Duggar: Single and NOT Ready to Mingle!

Earlier this week, reports that  John David Duggar is courting a “mystery brunette” had the Duggar family faithful preparing for another member of the famous family to be married off. Now, however, it looks as though there is no chaste side-hugging romance in JDD’s life, and to make matters worse, his parents insist on reminding the world that he’s a 24-year-old virgin. “Just thought we’d set the record straight,” Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar wrote on their blog today. “John David is not courting and not in a relationship…and he has never been in one! [He is] still looking and waiting for the right one.” JD, bro – you’re 24! The right one is anyone and the right time is now! We kid! The Duggars have their own courtship process and it seems to be working for them so far. And from the sound of things, John shouldn’t have anything to worry about, in terms of finding a mate: “John is still single, ladies,” the Duggars wrote online. “And he has an airplane!”  We’ve seen enough rap videos to know there’s no point in having your own plane unless you’re filling it with willing groupies. Hopefully John David will start using that thing to get his courtin’ on in the near future. Of course, there’s no guarantee that John will be the next to get married. John’s twin Jana Duggar has two younger sisters who have already beaten her to the altar. Of course, there are rumors that Jana isn’t allowed to date  because the family relies so heavily on her help around the house. So apparently John David gets a plane, while Jana get an apron. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar: We Will Always Stand For Truth and Values!

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are speaking out – with the help of scripture – in the wake of the controversy the couple recently sparked on Facebook. After posting a pictures of themselves reenacting Jessa and Ben Seewald’s kiss on Instagram, they invited married couples to submit their own kissing pics. They reportedly then deleted pictures of same-sex and interracial couples from their official page, a move that provoked serious backlash online. In response, the TLC stars posted a new message about remaining steadfast in their convictions, using a passage from the Bible to illustrate their point. Quoting Luke 6:27, they wrote, “But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.” “This is such a sweet scripture that we hold dear,” the Duggars wrote. “We will always stand for truth and the values we hold dear without compromise.” But, Jim Bob and Michelle said, “we will do so in love and kindness – treating others well even if we don’t agree with them and we will do so without hateful words.” “This verse is a reminder of how we must always carry ourselves,” they concluded of the Biblical passage, praising the “precious words from Jesus.” The Duggars’ post did not specifically mention the Facebook controversy, but the uproar and the timing make it fairly unlikely that it was a coincidence. 19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 12 Recap: The Wedding Countdown is ON!

On TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 12 Tuesday night, Duggar family fans saw the countdown to Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s wedding in full swing. We know how THAT turned out, if you know what we’re saying! NOTE: We’re saying they got married and she’s pregnant. Just because we all know the happy ending doesn’t make 19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 12 any less fun to watch, of course, as we go behind the scenes. With the wedding right around the corner, Jill’s parents Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar are hosting weekly counseling sessions with the soon to be newlyweds. Not that they need them. These kids have good heads on their shoulders and are clearly all in when it comes to the Duggar family dating rules and such. Meanwhile, Jill’s siblings, from the lovely Jana Duggar all the way down to the littlest ones, are starting to realize that she’s leaving the nest, and it’s bittersweet. In this week’s counseling session, the pair talks finances, and Derick – a hard worker who knows how to save, and be frugal – is cut from the same cloth. Next up is making sure their temporary home – the fixer upper Jim Bob bought not too long ago – is furnished before they move in after their wedding. Naturally, that means used furniture and electronics. The auction turns out to be a blast, and by the time it’s over Jill and Derick have almost everything they need for their first home together. So sweet! One thing we can all be jealous of when we watch 19 Kids and Counting online is home renovations and moving. They have the skills AND the manpower! Jill Duggar & Derick Dillard Photos: True Love Timeline 1. Their First Meeting (Sort Of)! The Arkansas natives grew up within 45 minutes of each other, but didn’t meet until late 2011. Jill recalled when Derick stopped by while caroling with a church group, and not long after, “Derick contacted my dad and asked if he would be a prayer partner during his two-year term in Nepal.” With all of Jill’s siblings pitching in, and Ben Seewald to boot, there’s nothing they can’t tackle, giving new meaning to the term strength in numbers. Perhaps the coolest part is that even when they’re not naturally inclined to do a job, as we saw when they redid the carpeting, they’re willing to learn. Meanwhile the Duggar extended family starts to arrive for the festivities, including Jill’s brother, the first of the 19 kids Josh Duggar, and his wife Anna. They have three kids of their own, born around the same time as some of Josh’s siblings, making their aunts and uncles nearly the same age as them. Crazy! Josh also helps Jill and Derick secure a slick black truck for their wedding “getaway” vehicle, borrowing it from a friend for the special day. What a guy. Meanwhile, Anna joined the Duggar sisters at Jill’s new home for a decorating party, and even though they have a blast, they are sad to let Jill go as well. Jill is also feeling a bit nostalgic during one of her last outings with her sisters – to get their nails done – even as she can’t wait to marry the love of her life. Jana Duggar: Exhausted From Lifetime of Helping Raise Siblings, Source Says

During a recent episode of 19 Kids and Counting, fans of the show took to social media to express their outrage at the mistreatment suffered by Jana Duggar , the eldest daughter of Michelle and Jim Bob. In the episode, Jana was forced to work tirelessly in preparation for Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s wedding , while the rest of the family enjoyed an afternoon tea party.  The incident gave credence to rumors that Jana is planning to break away from her family in order to start a life of her own, in which she won’t be forced to shoulder the burden of helping to raise her sixteen younger siblings. “It’s absolutely ridiculous how much the family makes Jana and the older siblings do,” a source close to the Duggars tells Radar Online. “Jim Bon and Michelle have totally transitioned a lot of their parental responsibilities on to her.” “Ever since she was young, she would have to watch the house while Michelle and Jim Bob would go out on date night alone.” “She looks so tired and worn down sometimes,” the insider adds. “You can’t help but feel bad for her, having to take on that responsibility at such a young age. 19 Kids and Counting is back tonight on TLC, and as fans of the Duggar family know, they have a lot going on as the eighth season of the show kicks off.
