Late Night Highlights: Kristen Stewart Describes Her Actual Pet Wolves While Jeremy Piven Raps About Toilet Phones

Never change, Kristen Stewart. While most other starlets tackle the late night circuit with television-ready anecdotes and easy laughter to make any host or audience swoon, the Twilight franchise star can never quite conquer her nerves. Take last night’s appearance on the Late Show , where the actress sputtered through a story about how her co-star Taylor Lautner demanded that she go bowling after an emotional trip to the Holocaust Museum. It could have been talk show gold, but became instead a rambled story so awkward that David Letterman visibly cringed before segueing into an equally uncomfortable segment about K-Stew’s pet wolf. Steel your own nerves and click through for that clip as well as the other highlights you missed last night while begging your agent to get you the role of Steve Carell’s Office replacement .

Eclipse Cast Talks Werewolf Genitalia, Looks Attractive, Premieres Clip on Jimmy Kimmel Special

Jimmy Kimmel hosted an ABC special titled “Total Eclipse of the Heart” last night. The program featured all members of the Twilight Saga cast, as Robert Pattinson took a break from filming Water for Elephants and reunited with Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and other co-stars who have been circling the globe promoting the film. Among the topics touched on during the one-hour special: Pattinson teasing Lautner over the lack of werewolf penises, saying: “If you look carefully, it’s a little easter egg in the film, the censors wouldn’t let the wolves have genitalia.” Xavier Samuel telling a story about how a raccoon bit him during shooting in Vancouver. Kimmel refusing to take sides, joking: “My heart says Team Edward, but my head says Team Jacob – and then my stomach says Hot Pocket.” Lautner admitting that a Great White Shark would kill a werewolf in battle. Lautner and Stewart talking about swimming with sharks and doing karaoke with Miley Cyrus while on their international press tour. Cast members from Jersey Shore also re-enacted scenes from the Twilight Saga, as they previewed a parody titled “Friggin Twilight.” Funny, funny stuff. We’ve included photos of The Situation, Snooki and others in character below, along with more of Rob, Kristen and friends. Following them? Oh yes, A NEW CLIP FROM ECLIPSE! Enjoy… Werewolves Attack!

The low-tech solution was entertaining and endearing, as last night’s guest — Seth Rogen — searched his anecdote arsenal for stories unrelated to drug consumption. Jimmy Kimmel Goes DIY After Power Outage

And it worked! The fruit of Kimmel’s labor will air tonight at his regularly scheduled time. [ USA Today ]

‘Lost’ Finale Wins Sunday Ratings Race

Sci-fi swan song beats ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ but fails to match the success of other hyped-up series closers By Josh Wigler Fans watch ‘Lost’ Finale Series in Times Square Photo: Getty Images On “Lost,” there’s a sequence of numbers that must be avoided at all costs: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42. But those numbers weren’t the most important digits when it came to Sunday night’s series finale — that all-important figure is closer to 13.5 million, the number of viewers who tuned in to the episode, appropriately titled “The End.” The pre-finale clip show, “Lost: The Final Journey,” garnered 9.8 million viewers, while the post-show edition of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” featuring interviews with castmembers and comedic alternate endings, attracted 3.4 million viewers. Although the 13.5 million fans who watched the finale made up a strong enough audience to propel “Lost” to its best-rated episode in two years and well past the season finale of NBC’s “The Celebrity Apprentice,” it still wasn’t a fantastic result, given the numbers the series was used to at its peak. During the show’s first season, “Lost” averaged nearly 16 million viewers and subsequently declined to 11 million during season five. The pilot episode of “Lost” yielded a massive 18.6 million viewers. Additionally, the “Lost” finale fell short in comparison to other similarly hyped series finales including “M.A.S.H.” (121.6 million), “Seinfeld” (76.3 million) and “Friends” (52.5 million), while barely edging out the finales for HBO’s cable offerings “The Sopranos” (11.9 million) and “Sex and the City” (10.6 million). Despite a relatively lackluster viewership, the series finale performed rather admirably, given that the show’s audience dwindled so dramatically over the course of its run, a fact that has been blamed on an increasingly complicated continuity and tough-to-crack story line. Why do you think the “Lost” audience dwindled over its six-season run? Let us know in the comments!
