11 Candy Asses Who Have Felt the Wrath of The Rock

Dwayne Johnson is never afraid to lay the smackdown on anyone's candy ass. That much was made clear when he called out Vin Diesel  (although not by name) for the actor's inappropriate and pompous behavior on the set of Fast 8. Some fans were taken aback by Johnson's harsh words, but they really shouldn't have been. Previously known as The Rock during his WWE days, Johnson has been at the center of many feuds over the years. Here's a rundown of the most memorable back-and-forths: 1. Vin Diesel This marks Johnson’s first real feud since he became an actor. Those on the set of Fast 8 confirm that Johnson was nothing but professional during filming while Diesel walked around with an arrogant attitude, often showing up late to set. Johnson called him out on it. 2. Ken Shamrock The Rock and Ken Shamrock debuted in the WWE during the Attitude Era, feuding early on over the Intercontinental belt. Shamrock finally defeated Rock in the 1998 King of the Ring finals. 3. Degeneration X As a member of the Nation of Domination (as Rocky Maivia), The Rock ousted Faarooq as the leader and began a feud with DX. Triple H and Rock then participated in one of the most brutal ladder matches of all time. 4. The Big Show The Rock started his feud with Big Show at Royal Rumble 2000 when they were the final two competitors. There was controversy over the ending, which led to these two doing battle against at No Way Out. Eventually, the pay-off was a four way for the title at Wrestlemania. 5. The Undertaker These two feuded numerous times. It all started when Johnson was exiled from the Corporation and it culminated in 2002 when The Rock beat Undertake and Kurt Angle in a three way at WWE Vengeance. 6. Booker T Booker T was the WCW Champion when he started using the Book End (Rock Bottom, basically) as his Finishing Move. At Summerslam, The Rock beat Booker after a Rock Bottom to win the WCW Championship. Booker would receive a rematch in a form of a handicap match (teaming with Shane McMahon) at Unforgiven 2001. Wait, What? London Mayor Claims Obama Has A Dislike For Great Britain Because Of Kenyan Heritage

President Obama Responds To Boris Johnson’s “Dog-Whistle Racist” Comments About His Kenyan Ancestry London Mayor Boris Johnson is being branded a racist after claiming Obama has an “ancestral dislike” for Britain as a result of his “part-Kenyan” heritage. In case you missed it, Obama is currently visiting London, but not everyone has been welcoming. According to Al Jazeera reports : In an opinion essay published in the right-leaning tabloid The Sun , the mayor criticized Obama’s eagerness to urge British voters to remain in the EU and argued that the president may be “anti- British”. Johnson, who is seen as the unofficial leader of the campaign for the UK to leave the EU, claimed in his article that Obama removed a bust of Britain’s war-time prime minister Sir Winston Churchill from the Oval Office shortly after he took office in 2009. “Some said it was a snub to Britain. Some said it was a symbol of the part-Kenyan president’s ancestral dislike of the British empire – of which Churchill had been such a fervent defender” wrote the London mayor. Sheesh… This guy is a piece of work. Fortunately not all Brits are buying his line of reasoning: Tory MP Sir Nicholas Soames, who is the grandson of Sir Winston Churchill, said Johnson’s comments were “appalling” and “totally wrong on almost everything”. “Time and time again, his judgment is awry and he shows in this article a remarkable disregard for the facts, the truth and for all judgment,” he told LBC radio. “I don’t think Boris has the stature to be leader.” Sir Nicholas also said it was inconceivable that Churchill would not have welcomed the views of Obama. John McDonnell, Labour Party’s shadow chancellor, suggested that Johnson’s remarks were “racist”. “Mask slips again,” he tweeted. “Boris part-Kenyan Obama comment is yet another example of dog-whistle racism from senior Tories. He should withdraw it.” Obama responded to Johnson’s comments in a press conference revealing he still keeps a bust of Churchill, but moved it in favor of one of MLK: Talking next to British Prime Minister David Cameron, Obama said he loved Churchill and still had a bust of the British leader in his White House private residence. “Right outside the door of the Treaty Room, so that I see it every day – including on weekends when I’m going into that office to watch a basketball game – the primary image I see is a bust of Winston Churchill,” he said. “It’s there voluntarily because I can do anything on the second floor. I love Winston Churchill. Love the guy.” Obama said there was a bust of Churchill in the Oval Office during the presidency of his predecessor George W Bush but he decided that he would have a bust of the civil rights leader Martin Luther King in his office instead. “I thought it was appropriate – and I think most people in the United Kingdom might agree – that as the first African-American president, it might be appropriate to have a bust of Dr Martin Luther King in my office,” he said. Barry-O told him! Gotta love Obama for always staying cool no matter how ugly his critics get. And this guy is super UGLY. WENN

Double Down: BET Founder Robert Johnson Is STILL Capin’ For Zoe Saldana’s Awful Depiction Of Nina Simone

Robert Johnson Continues To Defend Zoe Saldana’s Portrayal Of Nina Simone A couple weeks ago, we reported that BET founder Bob Johnson had hopped in the phone booth and donned his cape for Zoe Saldana’s inflammatory portrayal of Nina Simone. In speaking to The Hollywood Reporter , the film’s executive producer continues to try to convince black people that they should support this garbage… Two weeks after the trailer for Nina hit the Internet and caused an outcry over Zoe Saldana’s heavily altered appearance as Nina Simone, the film’s distributor is speaking to reporters in defense of the project. Critics of Nina, a biopic from U.K.-based Ealing Studios Entertainment, have protested the casting of Saldana, a light-skinned actress of Afro-Latina descent, to portray the legendary high priestess of soul, claiming that Simone’s physical appearance as a dark-skinned black woman had a major impact on her life and career. “It’s unfortunate that African-Americans are talking about this in a way that hearkens back to how we were treated when we were slaves,” says RLJ Entertainment founder and chair Robert L. Johnson, who also founded BET. “The slave masters separated light-skinned blacks from dark-skinned blacks, and some of that social DNA still exists today among many black people.” *eye-roll emoji* Now, in his one-on-one interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Johnson cites arguments against Saldana’s skin tone as akin to in-group discriminatory practices like the brown paper bag test, wherein certain black community gatherings would only admit individuals whose skin was lighter than the bag. “That’s where some of this comes from, when you hear people saying that a light-skinned woman can’t play a dark-skinned woman when they’re both clearly of African descent,” he says. “To say that if I’m gonna cast a movie, I’ve gotta hold a brown paper bag up to the actresses and say, ‘Oh sorry, you can’t play her.’ Who’s to decide when you’re black enough?” Johnson clearly is passionate about the subject and had plenty more to say regarding the backlash. “As an African-American, I will gladly engage anyone on this question of should we be talking about how light or how dark you should be to play a role,” he says. “Many people who are talking about it don’t even realize what they’re getting into. Imagine if I were to do a biopic about Lena Horne, who’s obviously light-skinned, or Dorothy Dandridge. Would it be fair if I put up a sign that said ‘No black women apply’? That would be ridiculous. Black Americans should know better than to have this discussion over a creative project. We’re not talking about white against black. We’re talking about black against black.” This fool goes on to say… “Make the judgment on the talent of the actors, make the judgment on the writing, but don’t make it on whether or not Zoe Saldana is as black as Nina. You can always say, ‘Gee, I can find somebody who’s blacker,’” Johnson says. “Let’s talk about [the film] in terms of giving talented African-Americans a chance to play roles that they’re qualified to play.” Clearly Bobby Boy missed the ENTIRE point. If Zoe was gonna play a lighter-skinned, thinner-nosed version of Nina Simone, then cool. BUT DON’T DARKEN HER F***IN’ SKIN AND PUT A FAKE NOSE ON HER AND THEN PREACH TO US ABOUT WHO IS ENTITLED TO PLAY WHO!
