Hours after giving birth to a daughter , the singer took to Twitter on Sunday and shared her daughter’s full name with her followers, writing: “So proud to welcome our beautiful daughter Summer Rain Rutler into the world.” Summer Rain is Aguilera’s first child with fiance Matt Rutler and also her first daughter; she and ex-husband Jordan Bratman share custody of six-year old Max. The new parents, who met on the set of the film Burlesque in 2010, announced on Valentine’s Day this year that they were engaged. A month later, they told everyone that they were also expecting. Florida Woman Jailed For Shooting Pregnant Friend Over Facebook Fight According to NY Daily News reports : A neighborhood in Florida is stunned that anyone would shoot a 6-month-pregnant woman in the stomach — killing the unborn baby inside. Let alone the victim’s close friend. Virginia Wyche, 35, also known as “Tweety Bird” around town, is accused of turning the gun on her pal Markeisha Brooks, 23, in the streets of Jacksonville Wednesday. “They were arguing out front, something about Facebook. I walked out and just heard a pop,” local man Christopher Cash told station WAWS. Cash shot footage of Brooks slouched in a chair, clutching her stomach, just moments after the shot rang out. Markeisha was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Her family said she survived. The video shows an officer arresting Wyche at the scene. She appeared in court Thursday morning and is being held on a $1 million bond, authorities said. The suspect’s mother, Lillian Jordan, said the news is difficult to bear especially because she was “not raised like this.” “Somebody had to provoke my child … to do what she (did),” Jordan told WJXT Jacksonville. The suspect and victim had been arguing on Facebook the night before the shooting. Damn, thank God Brooks survived but that is terrible that her unborn child died. LAPD Caught Removing Squad Car Recording Devices In Black Neighborhoods via Kulture Kritic Some LAPD officers have taken matters into their own hands by removing their antennas from police cars in predominantly black areas. Why? Because they don’t want to be monitored while being on duty. When news first broke about this move, members of the Police Commission were alarmed and wanted to know why this was happening. In addition to this, they wanted to know how long this has been going on and who authorized this move. In a review of what transpired, it was concluded that ‘half of the 80 cars in the Southeast division—which includes Watts and the Jordan Downs and Nickerson Gardens housing projects—were missing the antennas that help capture what officers say in the field. The review discovered at least 10 more cars in nearby divisions also had antennas removed.’ Steve Soboroff, President of the commission stated that this issue should have been brought to their attention and made available by those officers. The antennas are used for the safety of the officers and the public. LAPD Chief Charlie Beck responded that it was not the intent of the LAPD to hide this information from the commission. With so many officers, it was difficult to ascertain which officers were committing the infraction. A warning was issued to officers about removing their antennas. Here’s what you need to know: “Officers wear small transmitters on their belts that relay their voices back to the antennas in the patrol car. Sgt. Dan Gomez, a department expert on recording devices, told the Times that regardless of whether they are in front of the camera, officers’ voices can be recorded hundreds of yards away from the car—but that distance is severely curtailed by as much as a third without the antennas.” Shuttesrtock
