The Young Money mini man was reportedly none too happy to find out that his former label mate and RHOA cast member Kandi Burruss declined to attend the upcoming 20th Anniversary event for So So Def Records. Bow Weezy felt that Kandi’s decision not to attend the event due to a prior scheduling conflict was a slap in the face to So So Def bossman Jermaine Dupri, who was largely responsible for the success of Kandi’s former group Xscape. Mr. Moss took to his Facebook with this message to put Kandi on blast: “JD likes to keep quiet but… Yo Kandi is wack for not wanting to show up for jd for “20th anniversary so so def show” put ego to the side and give the fans what they want and understand w/ out jd know no one would even know who you are. You aint Michael, this aint the Jackson 5. She act’n like she booked out like she too busy! Better yet dont come. The ones thats there are the ones who really got love for JD and the history of the label.” Bow Wow’s “loyalty” is admirable, but should he be really be trying to check Kandi when he had his own issues with JD not too long ago? Kandi Burruss Says She Believes In Pre-Nups Before Marriage Via Bravo Just last week, RHOA Kandi Burruss announced that she was officially engaged to her producer-boo Todd Tucker. A few hours ago, Kandi took to her Bravo RHOA blog to talk about her excitement in planning her dream wedding and who she will, or will not, be inviting. Well, if you haven’t heard I’m engaged! That wasn’t on any of the episodes. That just happened on New Years. Todd popped the question. I was shocked to find out that at the same time Gregg popped the question to NeNe! Congratulations to them! I guess love was in the air for the beginning of 2013. We all are starting our year off right. I am happy, excited, and curious about what the future holds for me and my family. I have so much to think about now, so much to prepare for. I’m clueless. We don’t know if we want a destination wedding, or if we want to do it in Atlanta. Do we want a big wedding or a small intimate one? Do we even want a wedding? Should we just get married privately and do a big reception? Well, I think I’ve axed that one out already. I think we’ll do a more intimate one, but if we did it in Atlanta, that’s not going to happen. It would turn into a HUGE wedding, because I have way too many family, friends, and people in general that I know, who would be offended if they’re not invited. Hmm… this is going to be crazy. I guess I’ll have to get advice from the other ladies in our circle. One interesting topic that the Xscape chanteuse touched on candidly was her belief in prenuptial agreements. This part is for you Todd. Since I’m newly engaged, I’m going to touch on a couple of things in the last couple of episodes that would be related to marriage and family. First I’ll go back to my conversation with Porsha about pre-nups. I do believe in pre-nups. I know that some people feel if you are truly in love and are planning to be dedicated to your marriage that a pre-nup somehow means the person requesting the pre-nup is expecting the marriage to fail. I don’t agree. I feel like it’s a safety precaution. Just like if you have a fire extinguisher in your home it doesn’t mean you expect it to burn down, but you’re just prepared to put out the fire before it starts if need be. I’ve had friends and associates who didn’t get a pre-nup say “they didn’t need one,” “she or he would never do that,” etc. But then later when they got divorced, things got ugly, and the person tried to get everything, they were like, “I would have never thought they would have done that to me,” “she or he is not the person I married,” blah, blah, blah. I feel like people do some crazy and vindictive things when they’re hurt, so I think there should be agreements set in place while everyone is thinking clearly. That way if D-day ever comes (and hopefully it won’t, but if it does), then it doesn’t have to get uglier and more hurtful than it already is. I hope Porsha and Kordell’s marriage lasts for a lifetime, but I will say that I was shocked when she told me that they didn’t do a pre-nup. I don’t know why I was shocked, but I was. Well, some people like things the good ol’ fashion way, and there’s nothing wrong with that. To each his own! Engagement buzz has been building around Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss and her line producer beau, Todd Tucker, ever since the two debuted their relationship on the fifth season of her Bravo reality series. And now Us Weekly can exclusively reveal that the lovebirds are indeed engaged to be married. Tucker, 39, popped the question on New Year’s Day, during a New Year’s celebration with friends at the couple’s home in Atlanta. (Among the party guests was fellow Atlanta Housewife Phaedra Parks, who’s currently expecting her second child with husband Apollo Nida.) After talking it over with Burruss’ daughter, 10-year-old Riley — who gave him her blessing — he got down on one knee and proposed to his love of more than a year with a two-carat diamond sparkler by Gregg Ruth. The singer-songwriter, 36 — who has been engaged once before, to the late Ashley “A.J.” Jewell — was floored. “I was totally surprised,” she tells Us of the romantic proposal, adding that she even shed a few happy tears. The happy couple already have two dates in mind for their big day, but they’re still working out a lot of the other details, including whether the wedding will be filmed for The Real Housewives.
