Kandi Burruss of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” appeared on “Watch What Happens Live!” last night with Andy Cohen. Burruss was joined on the show by ?uestlove and they discussed everything from songs they’ve done for other people to who they’re dating. Did Kandi Find Love In Her Hometown? Kim Kardashian Kim is the epitome of cashing in on reality TV show fame. Not only did Kim K put herself on, but her entire family as well. Since her sex tape with R&B singer Ray J, she’s kicked off her sisters’ spin-off shows and has had all kinds of ventures going on. She owns Dash, a clothing boutique with her sisters, launched workout DVDs , an eponymous fragrance line , the ShoeDazzle website, a makeup line , created a clothing line for Bebe and nabbed Quick Trim and PerfectSkin product endorsements. 2. Bethenny Frankel First staring on Real Housewives of New York , Bethenny quickly became a breakout star and received her own spinoffs– Bethenny Gets Married and Bethenny Ever After. That’s not where her prosperity stops. This reality star-turned-mogul has earned lucrative endorsement deals (Pampers, Bluefly, Hanes), a successful publishing franchise, a Body by Bethenny workout DVD, Skinnygirl extensions (including a shapewear line, a diet cleanse and weight-loss supplement), speaking engagements, a stint on ABC’s Skating With the Stars and, of course, that epic liquor deal with Fortune Brands’ Beam Global that scored her a reported $120 million. Snooki also gets paid over $30,000 for her speaking engagements, over $20,000 for her club appearances and not to mention her salary from Jersey Shore ranged from $30,000-$100,000 per episode. Can we say cha-ching?! 5. Shaunie O’Neal Shaunie was an entertainment correspondent for The Insider and Access Hollywood . Since her liberation from her ex-husband, Shaquille O’Neal, Shaunie’s been upgrading her career on her own merits. She’s the producer and cast member of Vh1′s hit reality show Basketball Wives , she also produces Football Wives –which helped to spawn her production company, Amirah, Inc. Shaunie’s looking into expanding her brand into more shows, movies, shoes and books. One of the biggest differences about Shaunie is that she uses her powers for good as well. She focuses on philanthropy through her REAL Models Foundation–a fundraising entity that focuses on displaced homeless women and children, and she recently became involved with the Hope Gardens Family Center, a part of the Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles. The Real Housewives of Atlanta had another party this week, this time for Kandi’s 35th birthday. Unfortunately, a surprise guest upsets Momma and THG is here to take you through all the drama in our +/- recap! First we get to recap last week’s drama when Peter and Apollo nearly came to blows at Kim’s baby shower . Kim’s ticked and rightfully so. Next time she’ll remember to “keep the ex-cons and a$$holes off the guest list.” But Phaedra steps up and earns a big Plus 10 showing up to Kim’s with a gift basket and an apology. She may not have been able to stop the men at the time but at least she did the right thing coming forward and saying she was sorry. Neither Cynthia or Peter bothered. Heck, they were five hours late and didn’t even send a gift. Minus 15 because that’s just beyond rude. Speaking of Cynthia, try as she might to mend fences they just seem to burn. She calls her sister over to talk to Peter about the incident at her wedding a year ago. Who could have guessed this wouldn’t go well? Minus 10 . You can’t force people to make up and nothing got accomplished here except for dredging up bad memories that won’t soon be forgotten. Later, Cynthia and her sister argue about Peter’s new bushiness venture. Unfortunately, Cynthia doesn’t know her sister is right. Bar One is in financial trouble before it’s even begun and Peter’s going to look to his wife to bail him out. Minus 9 because that’s just going to widen the divide between Cynthia, Peter and her family. Kim’s getting prepared for the big event. No, not another party. She talks to Phaedra about what it was like when she had her son. Phaedra says she had an epidural, morphine and was “crazy as a vampire in sunlight.” Plus 5 for being honest but let’s hope Kim has an easier time. Having had only girls, Kim’s concerned about having a boy and takes some lessons on diapering a circumcised baby. She’s nervous about what to do with a penis. Plus 7 to Kroy who already seems to be a pro with the diaper detail.
Someone sounds like they’re feeling themselves just a lil bit too too tough… NeNe Leakes has lost many friends along the way, but plans to continue making her dreams come true — at whatever cost. In this week’s issue of Life & Style, on newsstands now, Nene tells the magazine she’s launching her own wine label called Miss Moscato, is working on a shoe line and aspires to be the next Oprah Winfrey with her own talk show–and no one can hold her back. “It’s very difficult,” NeNe laments. “You can’t trust a lot of people. Your girlfriends all change, and your family is now against you. There’s definitely a cost that comes with fame.” The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 43, is sought after for lucrative product endorsements and is looking at multimillion-dollar estates, but putting her quest for fame and fortune above her friendships has made her the pariah of the hit Bravo reality series. “I have never experienced so much hate, so much negativity,” NeNe confided to Life & Style after watching the dramatic Nov. 13 episode, in which the other women bashed her behind her back for her exploding ego, inflated bank account — and even her teeth! NeNe is quick to blame the estrangement on her co-stars, claiming that they’re envious of her rising stardom, particularly her stint as a contestant on last season’s Celebrity Apprentice. “I’ve got a lot of shine and had things happen for me, and they’re definitely jealous,” NeNe asserts. Bravo has given the greenlight to The Kandi Factory , which will follow around this Grammy winner as she mentors a pair of pop-singing hopefuls. “With her breakout personality and straightforward attitude, Bravo fans have grown to love Kandi on The Real Housewives of Atlanta ,” Bravo’s VP of Development Eli Lehrer says. “ The Kandi Factory will capture a unique look at her successful music career as Kandi transforms two music hopefuls into the next big pop star.” Burruss – who won the aforementioned Grammy for TLC’s “No Scrubs” – returns as part of fourth season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta on November 6.
