Jay Z might be Kanye West’s best man at his wedding that’s now just hours away, but it seems Yeezy’s mentor is less than impressed with the dizzying media circus that Kimye calls a wedding. A source tells Radar Online that Jay mocks Kim and Kanye behind their backs and is distancing himself from the wedding preparations as much as he can. “Jay thinks the entire Kimye wedding is a joke and it’s been blown way out of proportion,” says the insider. Think so, Jay? What was your first clue? The round-the-clock press coverage or the French royalty-themed rehearsal dinner ? “He likes Kim and Kanye,” the source adds. “But totally talks smack behind their backs.  When he was asked about the wedding, he just laughed and said, ‘The circus goes to Paris!'” Makes sense. They may tour and collaborate together, but we’ve alway gotten the sense that Jay looks at ‘Ye more as a walking dollar sign than as a BFF. For his part, Kanye probably asked Jay to stand next to him during the ceremony not because they’re so tight, but because having the most famous rapper in the world as your best man is the ultimate status symbol. “The best best man of all time!!!” Ye was likely heard to remark. Of course, being the class act that he is, Jay is more than happy to go through the motions. As his way of accepting the best man offer, Hova reportedly sent Kanye a gold-plated, diamond-encrusted flask accompanied by a $10,000 bottle of Scotch to be consumed on the big day. In the ultimate gesture of goodwill, Jay has reportedly even agreed to be nice to Kim. “Jay doesn’t mind Kanye, but Kim is a big knock on his reputation,” says the source. “She doesn’t exactly have street cred.” Kim Kardashian doesn’t have street cred?!
