Talk about peaking at the right time. Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke have been improving for weeks and have built a nice Dancing With the Stars following, but last night – the final night of performances – marked the first time they finished atop the leaderboard . Rob’s waltz earned him a 9 out of 10 from each judge. His second routine, the freestyle, earned him all 10s and sole possession of the lead. Will that be enough to win him the Mirror Ball, or will J.R. Martinez or Ricki Lake overtake him? Watch Rob’s final two performances and vote in our poll below: Rob Kardashian on Dancing With the Stars (Finals – Waltz) Rob Kardashian on Dancing With the Stars (Finals – Freestyle) Who do you think will win Dancing With the Stars?
The 13th season of Dancing With the Stars has come down to one night. Ricki Lake. Rob Kardashian. J.R. Martinez. All worthy parquet performers, as we know, but there can be only one Mirror Ball holder at the end of this. Who will it be? Apparently no one told Rob that J.R. and Ricki were the consensus picks all season long, or that he was a 4-1 underdog headed into the final Monday of the season. Because he’s in sole possession of the lead right now! His lead is only three points over both competitors, so this is going down to the wire. But who thought Rob Kardashian would be here now, let alone in first place? Seriously, if you’ve watched this season at all, you knew he was good, maybe even a dark horse contender. But few saw him ever sitting on top of the world. Rob and Cheryl Burke earned a perfect 30, their first of the fall, with a retro, Charleston-utilizing freestyle. When he said it was his time to peak, he meant it! “This competition is often won or lost in the freestyle round and to get a 10 you have to blow us away. Consider me blown!” raved DWTS judge Carrie Ann Inaba. J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff earned a 30 of their own with an ’80s hip-hop / samba mash-up that made you wanna get down. But their first dance hurt them. A cha-cha that was deemed “not very good” by Len netted only 24 points. Meanwhile, Ricki Lake and Derek Hough received two sets of all nines on Monday. All of that left Rob in first place on the leaderboard for the first time, albeit not by much, on the even of the final vote tallying. What a great season it’s been! Watching proudly along with her whole family was Kim Kardashian , in the house for the first time since announcing the end of her fake marriage to that guy. “Did u guys see that!!!!!!” Kim tweeted afterward. “All 10’s in the freestyle!!!! OMG I swear the whole fam is in tears!!!!! Let’s go baby! Team CherBert!” It’s all up to the fans right now. Can they help the lagging teams make up the gap? Here’s a look at how Monday’s Dancing With the Stars scores shook out: Rob Kardashian & Cheryl Burke: (27, 30) 57 J.R. Martinez & Karina Smirnoff: (24, 30) 54 Ricki Lake & Derek Hough: (27, 27) 54 Who do you think has danced the best? Do you agree with scores, top to bottom? Most importantly, who do you think should hoist the Mirror Ball tonight?! Comment below, and vote for who you think will win!
Jennifer Lopez grabbed the attention of American Music Awards viewers last night by wearing very little clothing… and by shilling a whole lot for Fiat. The singer danced and gyrated to a medley of songs during her six-minute set, while also making prominent use of the same car you’ve undoubtedly seen her endorse in countless commercials over the past few weeks. See for yourself: Jennifer Lopez Medley (American Music Awards) The overt, Kim Kardashian -like shill has raised the ire of many celebrities. John Legend, for example, Tweeted in response to the advertisement-based performance: “That had to be the most shameless thing I’ve ever seen in a performance. I was genuinely shocked.” What do you make of this routine? J. Lo’s Fiat plug was…
There were all kinds of really talented women at the American Music Awards last night, from Katy Perry to Taylor Swift , and then there was Audrina Patridge . Here she is all tarted up on the red carpet showing off a whole lot of skin. I guess she’s got her own set of talents, soft, tanned, squeezable man-made talents. Those things are just perfect, they deserve an award of their own. Most motor-boatable breasts on a reality TV star. Although Adrianne Curry might give her a run for her money.
Kris Bumphries is about to start getting some endorsement checks: After weeks in hiding following the shocking end of his 72-day marriage, Humphries resurfaced in New York Thursday to announce a Kardashianesque endorsement partnership with Sector brand watches. Apparently, he didn’t utter a word about his soon-to-be-ex-wife Kim Kardashian, but he seems to have a found a great new relationship with his Italian watchmaking friends at Sector. “I’m really excited. It’s a perfect fit. Everything fits. It was such a natural fit,” he said during his solo press conference. Good for him! There is life after Kimmy Cakes after all for Kris. SMH. Source
Kim Kardashian has been cast in a Tyler Perry movie titled The Marriage Counselor . Even if she isn’t playing the title role, come on, that’s hilarious. But not to the mega producer himself. He doesn’t really get the humor behind this selection, even after Kim filed for divorce 72 days after wedding Kris Humphries. And even though, you know, she cannot act. “She literally has millions of young people following her,” Perry wrote on his official website. “I thought and still do think, that it would be very responsible of her to be a part of this film… If one of those young people see this film and find the strength to live a better life and not go through what these characters went through in this movie, then we have all done what I feel I’m being led to do here.” Decent point, Ty. But do those followers really need Kim to star in a movie in order to use her life story as a cautionary tale? Asked Perry: “Because I believe that my films speak from the inside out, why wouldn’t Kim Kardashian be invited into a film about Faith, Forgiveness and the healing power of God?” We’re just guessing here… but maybe because she has no soul? After perfect and near-perfect performances saw Ricki Lake take back the lead on Dancing With the Stars , the question was who would join her in the finals. With Ricki a virtual lock (her scores far outpaced two competitors, she’s solid every week, and she has Derek Hough as a partner), it came down to this trio. Surprisingly, Rob Kardashian was the one breathing down Ricki’s next Monday, with J.R. Martinez a distant third, followed by Hope Solo in last place. Was last night the end of the line for Rob, Hope, or J.R.? Hope has continued to improve, but would it be fast enough for fans given that Rob has also surged in popularity and skill, and J.R. remains one of the favorites? The program has seen many worthy dancers set home prematurely, even this season. You just never know. So which one of these contenders got the heave-ho? Follow the jump to see who survived the Dancing With the Stars semifinals … Hope Solo , despite a long and successful run, was eliminated last night. Very few who follow the show are likely to be surprised at that outcome. Interestingly, Hope was so torn up about her elimination that she was unable to even give interviews about departure, but we’ll miss her and wish her the best. Fond memories of Hope and Maks’ DWTS performances past . “I love them,” Ricki Lake said of Hope and her partner Maksim Chermovskiy. “They’re both great people. I think she did great. She came so far and I now like soccer. I never knew anything about it, but now I’m rooting for my goalie Hope Solo!” She’s certainly not alone in that department. “I never would have imagined this when I signed up for this, never in a million years,” Rob Kardashian admitted upon making the finals. “I really just gotta bring it more than ever and that mirror ball trophy is right at the end of my fingertips.” As for J.R.’s injury: “The ankle feels a lot better, does,” he said. “I got some time to rest. I got an X-ray done this morning. The doctor said it’s negative. Now, it’s about being strategic: making sure I take care of, wrap it properly and continue to dance!” Well? Who will win Dancing With the Stars?
“It’s my time to peak.” – Rob Kardashian. All but written off by many (including THG) at the onset of the season, Dancing With the Stars’ dark horse looks like a virtual
