Despite the theories spun by Teen Mom fans, Tyler Batlierra is not leaving Catelynn Lowell . They have another baby on the way! They gave up their first child for adoption. In this new Teen Mom OG sneak peek, Tyler and Catelynn grapple with the bittersweet occassion that is their firstborn's birthday. “It's been almost a year since we've seen our daughter, Carly,” Catelynn says in a voiceover. “But today is her birthday,” Catelynn narrates. “It's usually a hard day for us, so we always try to celebrate it in a positive way.” There are a couple of awkward moments as they eat their salads before they speak on the phone to Dawn, their adoption counselor. They talk about Nova and her ability to understand that it's Carly's birthday. Nova, of course, is only three years old, so immediately asked when the party would be, and if they would have cake and ice cream. Dawn suggests that they send a Nova video to Carly, and Tyler says that it's already in the works. The conversation, which had so far been lighthearted, turns more serious. Dawn praises Catelynn and Tyler, telling them how proud she is of how they're taking this milestone in stride. Adoption can be a difficult process for everyone involved, even though no one questions that they made the right decision. And the two of them have really made great progress in handling the situation with a healthy perspective. As Tyler admits when Dawn comes over to speak to them in person, he and Catelynn weren't always so chill about it. “I think some of our old expectations were unrealistic,” Tyler admits. “Like, [we] signed our rights off,” he says, referring to signing away their parental rights nine years ago. “A couple of years ago,” Tyler confesses. “I was on the other side.” By which he means that he felt entitled to parental rights that he does not possess. Tyler gives an example: “I was like, ‘You wouldn’t be parents if it weren’t for me.’” “It’s acceptance of what role I really play in this child’s life and this family’s life,” Tyler says of his current perspective. Dawn, their adoption counselor, knows that Carly's birthday is a big deal. She walks them through how they might speak to Carly's parents. “If I can advise you in any way,” Dawn says. “I would say a soft landing would be a good thing.” Dawn suggests: “Maybe starting a conversation with, ‘What’s Carly doing today? How are things going with her at school?’” “You love to brag about Nova,” Dawn notes. “She’s gonna love to brag about Carly.” Dawn concludes: “I think that’s gonna be an easier entry into a conversation.” Tyler and Catelynn then speak about the various traumas that they have experienced. While most of Catelynn's PTSD arises from her childhood, as is most often the case, it's not the only source. The adoption that she and Tyler went through as teens was another trauma in her life. That is very understandable. Being conscious of that can be tremendously helpful. Catelynn's miscarriage, she says, was a trigger for a lot of that trauma to resurface in her mind. Catelynn and Tyler have demonstrated more personal and emotional growth than a lot of their co-stars. We're not going to pretend that either of them are perfect. If they didn't have flaws, they wouldn't work as reality stars. But they've really worked hard on themselves and on their relationship. That deserves some recognition.

Yep, last night was the big night. Keeping Up with the Kardashians finally got to the part where everyone discovered that Tristan had cheated on Khloe . It was honestly kind of intense, even though everything happened several months ago and we know how it all turned out. Meanwhile, Khloe herself took the news pretty well, especially considering that she was just days away from giving birth. As she explained it, she didn’t want to really think about it all or make a big decision about whether or not she’d stay with him. “I just want to go and give birth and try to enjoy this,” she said. She also said that she still wanted him to be in the delivery room with her, and that she didn’t want any of her family members to “make him uncomfortable and make me uncomfortable.” But even though that was her stance, and even though she’s still with him , that doesn’t mean things are fine. She made that perfectly clear in a series of tweets she shared last night. To kick things off, she wrote that “Tonight’s episode is an uncomfortable and super emotional one for me.” “But when we signed up for this show over a decade ago, we signed up for a reality show, which meant showing you guys inside our lives, the good, the bad and the ugly.” Poor Khloe then admitted that “to relive these moments all over again is incredibly difficult,” but that “I also hope that with every trial, tribulation and curve ball life throws at us, that we ALL get to learn from our journeys.” “Amidst the tough times,” she added, “I have been blessed with the ultimate gift, my sweet baby True who has changed my life in ways I never could have imagined.” And for a bit of advice, she told her followers to “remember that you are never alone in your pain, and that everything is temporary.” “Pain, joy, elation, panic, anxiety, it is all temporary. Be grateful for the experiences that continue to build character, and make you who you are.” So it’s clear that the whole mess with Tristan affected her very deeply , right? After all of that, a follower told her that no one would be mad if she just skipped the episode altogether. “I will see how much I can handle,” she replied. “This goes for tonight AND next week.” So there’s more heartbreak next week … ugh. Later, Khloe tweeted about how much she loves doing the show and how she’s “proud that we are all strong and brave enough to be vulnerable.” “BUT we have to start airing shows closer to real time,” she complained. “This episode is about 7 months old and it’s a lot to relive all over again. But maybe I need to.” She discussed some other things from the episode too, but of course she could never get too far from all the drama. At one point, she wrote “Oh my God my heart is racing! So crazy how emotions never die! You may forgive but forgetting is not possible.” You hear that, Tristan? Then, to wrap up her discussion on the episode, she took some time to explain exactly why she didn’t react too strongly to the news of Tristan’s unfaithfulness. Spoiler: it was all for True. “I wanted to have a beautiful birthing experience for myself and for the memories of what I choose to share with True when she’s older,” she said. “I want her to have videos and pictures of her daddy there, holding her etc. I want her to know she is LOVE and my happiness!” “Babies feel energy!” she continued. “I know this! I chose to put my feelings aside for the birth and to try and have as much positive energy that I could.” “My only thought was about the birth of my daughter. I wasn’t going to let ANYONE disrupt anything less than what she deserved. Joyous love.” She wrote that she chose to be strong for her baby, especially since “I waited for this day for so many years!” Looking back on everything now, Khloe realized that she was “in shock because I couldn’t believe that this would ever happen to me.” However, she’s still proud of herself for being so strong and doing what she felt was best for her daughter. “True gave me the peace and strength I needed,” she concluded. It’s so sweet that she felt so strongly about having a positive birth for True, isn’t it? It’s also so sad that she had to make that decision because Tristan couldn’t keep himself from stepping out on his pregnant girlfriend. According to US Weekly reports , Khloé has a super high threshold for BS especially when it comes to matters of the heart: “People are underestimating how much she’s willing to take for love,” the insider says. “If Khloé is in love with someone or even connected to them in some way or another, she will stay until she physically and emotionally can’t take it anymore.” The source points to Kardashian’s ex-husband, Lamar Odom, as one such example. “Look at Lamar. He publicly embarrassed and hurt her, and she still denied all the rumors and stayed with him.” Awwww… Khloé really loved her Lammy. Do you think Tristan is a step up? Will we ever get to experience a time in which Chris Brown isn’t creepy and sketchy and awful? It’s not very likely, but man, it sure sounds nice. Unfortunately, Chris has been awful for years and years and years at this point. And you know what they say about teaching an old dog new tricks. (It seems weird that the only tricks this dog was ever taught were a few cool dance moves and how to be violent and scary, but whatever.) Chris became famous in 2005 when he released his debut album, and a few years later in 2009, he was arrested for beating Rihanna . Ever since then, things have been falling apart. He’s gotten in trouble several times for assault and destroying property — you know, just overly aggressive douchebag things. His longtime girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, has said that he abused her and threatened to kill her . She has a restraining order against him now. Most recently, he was arrested in July for felony battery after punching a photographer in a club. Chris also does this really terrible thing, and although it isn’t illegal, it is truly terrifying. He’s just kind of been fixated on Rihanna ever since 2009 — you’ve noticed it, right? He’s dropped her name in countless interviews, even though he really should know better, or at least have people around him who know better and could clue him in. He leaves inappropriately flirty comments on her Instagram posts, there’s always a report floating around about how he wants her back. And it sounds as though Khloe is well aware that her experiment might fail in spectacular fashion. “On one hand, she knows that Tristan is a cheater and that he will probably always be a cheater,” a source tells the site. “She has a hard time believing that he will ever really be faithful to her,” the insider adds. “On the other hand, Khloe wants nothing more than to have this perfect little family.” Fortunately, Khloe is going into this situation with both eyes wide open. And those closest to the mother of one are highly skeptical and fully prepared for the worst. “Everyone knows it’s inevitable she will end it eventually,” says the source. It looks like those reports that Khloe Kardashian is afraid Tristan will cheat again are true. She hasn’t admitted any such fear, but actions speak louder than words. Khloe has flown out to Cleveland so she can watch Tristan like a hawk, when he’s on and off the court. Entertainment Tonight reports that Khloe is keeping a watchful eye on Tristan. The report sayst hat Khloe “flew back to Cleveland to be with Tristan.” “And,” the insider says, Khloe “even supported him at his basketball game.” That’s not just a rumor — she was spotted in the stands, ostensibly cheering him on. “Khloe and Tristan are still working on things,” the source admits. “But,” the insider says. “know whatever they decide to do moving forward, it will be whatever is best for their daughter, True.” “Khloe isn’t certain how long she will be in Cleveland,” the source admits. So you can breathe a sigh of relief — she hasn’t resigned herself to living out her life in Ohio. Yet . “And,” the insider continues, Khloe “may fly back for her mom, Kris [Jenner’s], birthday next week.” Khloe has thought about this, the source says, “but isn’t sure.” “A lot is dependent on how things go with her and Tristan,” the insider explains. Maybe she’ll leave her family behind and take her chances that he won’t cheat again. It may be her choice, but she won’t be the only one impacted if she’s wrong. Last April, when Tristan’s cheating scandal broke, True had not even been born. Now, however, she’s had time to bond with both of her parents and see them as a couple. She should even be talking very soon. If Khloe moves in with Tristan only to break up in a few months after he cheats again, True will have to experience that breakup.
