The athlete, who has been largely MIA in the past few weeks following an estrangement from wife Khloe Kardashian, took to Twitter on Tuesday, Sept. 24, to slam his father Joe Odom for speaking poorly of the Kardashians. “Won’t continue 2 speak on this but I have got 2 let this out real quick,” the impassioned former NBA player wrote. “I have let this man and many other get away with a lot of sh-t. He wasn’t there 2 raise me. He was absent ALL of my life due to his own demons. My mother and grandmother raised me. Queens raised me.” Earlier this week, Joe spoke with Radar Online, telling the outlet that he thought Odom, 33, would be “better off” without the Kardashian clan. “They brought him down,” the elder Odom said. “Let him go and get his life together. I think the best thing for him would be to have a clean break, divorce Khloe and as a single man try and get his life back together.” In Odom’s lengthy rant, however, the athlete not only slammed Joe for speaking out, but also defended the Kardashian family, calling them a “blessing of a FAMILY” that he married into. “That man wasn’t even invited to my wedding,” he continued. “He has never met my mother in law and some of my other family. How can a man who has NOT once called me to check on my well being have the nerve to talk so recklessly about his own ‘son.’ He is my downfall!” Odom’s relationship with estranged wife Khloe, 29, has been on thin ice since news of his drug addictions first surfaced late last month. The athlete, who was reportedly in and out of rehab earlier this month, told paparazzo that he was “good” in response to questions of a drug problem. The athlete even chuckled when asked if he had spoken with Khloe recently. “Of course! That’s my wife. Of course,” he said at the time. In Tuesday’s diatribe, Odom further slammed Joe’s “careless” statements. “He’s disrespecting the ONLY FAMILY that has loved me without expecting anything in return,” he wrote, referring to the Kardashians. “They are the ONLY ones that have been here consistently 4 me during this dark time. But a friend of the former’s tells People Magazine in a new interview: the couple might as well not be. “They’re separated for the moment,” says this insider. ” Khloé is spending many nights at her mom’s house and Lamar is at his place [in] downtown [L.A.]” Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom Separated Everyday seems to bring with it worse and worse news for the formerly in-love twosome. According to DMX’s reps, the Yonkers rapper will be interviewed on Dr. Phil’s talk show. The interview is scheduled to be an hour long and will discuss many aspects of DMX’s life including his relationship with God. According to Radar Online Brody Jenner‘s resentful about the mental anguish his stepsister Kim Kardashian went through during her pregnancy with baby North earlier this year, claiming she was at the receiving end of cruel and unnecessary treatment from the media as she packed on the pounds. “A lot of very cruel things were written about her,” Brody, who was prominently featured on this past season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, told the U.K.’s Now magazine. “When you’re pregnant it should be a great stage in your life and you shouldn’t have to go to every newsstand and see pictures and headlines saying: ‘Kim’s a whale.’” He gave insight as to how rough things got, saying that “for a while, Kim was all bummed out with all the ridicule she was getting about her weight during her pregnancy … it was definitely getting to her. “I know it upset her — it should have been one of the happiest times of her life and it wasn’t,” the hunky star of The Hills said. “People gain weight when they’re pregnant and there’s nothing wrong with that. It upset me to read some things about her.” Despite the storm of snark, Brody said Kim’s only moving onward and upward following the upsetting ordeal. “She dealt with it and she’s a strong girl, she’s getting through it and everything’s good,” he said. “She’s been focusing on losing weight and being a mom.” We bet Kanye would beat up everyone who made a negative comment about Kimmy’s weight if he could. The idea to do a post-birth nekkid shoot is surprising, because Kim, who posed for the magazine in 2007, objected when Playboy published the photos again online (and added some previously unreleased ones) in 2010 after she became famous.
