Bachelor “Villain” Vienna Girardi isn’t just pregnant, though that would be news enough. She’s expecting twins . Vienna Girardi wasn’t just a contestant on Season 14 of The Bachelor — she won Jake Pavelka’s heart in the final episode. And then the two of them split . But you could argue that her real claim to fame was their interview about their breakup. She accused him of being a habitual liar and of saying truly nasty things to her after about the first month of their post- Bachelor relationship. Jake accused her of, basically, being nuts . And of cheating on him. And of selling their story — or her version of it — to the tabloids while they were still basically together. That last part, at least, is true. Honestly, neither of them came across in a flattering light in that interview. So it’s really for the best that they didn’t stick together. Vienna hasn’t been especially visible over the last few years, aside from a few relationships and a dramatic stint on a relationship rehab show . We all know that there are some reality personalities who refuse to vanish from headlines for even a moment. Vienna’s, for the most part, given the world some space. But she hasn’t disappeared altogether, either. Last October, she got engaged to race car driver Todd Allen. And now she’s pregnant — with twins, no less. A lot of parents would be freaking out at this point, but Vienna seems to be all kinds of enthused. “Twice the blessing, twice the fun,” is written on the picture of her ultrasound. That’s a good attitude to have, because having twins also means more than twice the work, twice the chaos. And let’s not even get into the diaper business. Of course, she’ll only be adding to the legions of babies produced by the many, many contestants who’ve appeared on The Bachelor and Bachelor -related properties over the years. But she certainly made an impression. What remains to be seen is how much growth she’s had since she was the whiny and emotional trainwreck we all knew and tolerated. Sometimes the qualities that make for a good reality star are the exact opposites of what make someone a good mother. But you know, even based solely on the fact that she hasn’t been desperately throwing herself into the spotlight, we’re feeling a little optimistic. Plus, sometimes having kids can really change people. Even in ways that no one expects. One day, these kids are going to be old enough to realize who their mom is and to look up her reality TV shenanigans. That’ll be interesting, to say the least. Courtney Stodden’s not exactly shy about her looks or her politics. And now she’s stunning followers with a makeup-free photo … and some very pleasant glimpses at her spectacular body. And her caption has something of a political twist. So, remember that Baywatch movie? Everybody watched the Baywatch trailer , at least, for obvious thirst reasons. Well, thirst alone wasn’t enough to keep the film from flopping at the box office. Courtney’s smoldering hot red swimsuit photo isn’t just visually reminiscent of Baywatch — she mentions the series by name. Her caption, “Make Baywatch Great Again,” is an obvious nod both to the film’s unenthusiastic reception and to the campaign slogan of a certain orange politician. Some people might be surprised to see a political reference in Courtney’s caption, but they shouldn’t be. Remember, she was a supporter of Bernie Sanders and then Hillary Clinton in 2016. And Courtney Stodden got political again just recently. Trump’s campaign slogan is as easy to parody as it is perplexing — since, you know, America was already pretty great. In fact, you tended to kind of get the impression that “great” was just a euphemism for “white.” But we can be sure that Courtney truly means great. And sexy. And fun. And kind. That’s kind of her brand. What’s more is that posing without makeup is almost inherently political. Women are constantly policed for their appearances. Going without makeup can get women asked if they’re “sick” or “tired” by clueless men who are used to seeing their faces look different. And who have no idea how much work so many women put into their looks, every single day. It’s worth noting that society tends to find men plenty attractive without any makeup, yet has high standard’s for a woman’s appearance — that she should have a “natural look” but obviously hide any perceived imperfections. In other words, women are expected to wear just enough makeup to be pleasing to the eye, but to not have fun with it. Ultimately, personal makeup choices should always be personal — to benefit no one but the makeup wearer themselves. But photos like this of Courtney’s send a powerful message that going without makeup can be wildly sexy. Obviously. But our biggest takeaway from all of this was just that we would 100% be down to watch a Courtney Stodden Baywatch movie. There are plenty of sexy actors and actresses who can go play around in the ocean, but it’s pretty tough to find someone as endearing as Courtney. What a doll.
The are plenty of sequels no one cares about this summer: You’ve got Tom Cruise picking up where Brendan Fraser left off (sadly, not in Encino Man 2 ); Johnny Depp trotting out the same sea-faring Keith Richards schtick he’s been working since 2003; and of course, More Motherf–king Minions . But not even the stalest of movie franchises can compete with eyeroll-inducing tedium that comes with yet another round of the endless feud between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift . If you saw her cringe-inducing dabs during her recent SNL performance, you know that Katy has been waging a non-stop war against coolness, but she’s taken time out from that tireless campaign to fire more shots at her lanky, blonde rival. The beef began anew when Katy released “Swish, Swish,” a single in which she took some pretty blatant digs at Taylor. It continued when Katy challenged Taylor to “finish” their feud during an appearance on The Late, Late Show with James Corden . It’s still not totally clear what she meant by that comment (fingers crossed for a West Side Story -esque dance-fight), but one thing is abundantly apparent: Katy has no intention of letting this thing go. Asked about her comments to Corden in a recent interview with NME, Perry elaborated – but kept it cryptic: “Well, James Corden makes me and the whole world feel very safe,” Perry said. “No one has asked me about my side of the story, and there are three sides of every story: one, two, and the truth.” That may sound like a fairly Zen take on the matter, but Katy says she’s no ancient Eastern ascetic: “I mean, I’m not Buddha — things irritate me,” she told the magazine. “I wish that I could turn the other cheek every single time, but I’m also not a pushover, you know? Especially when someone tries to assassinate my character with little girls [her fans]. That’s so messed up!” Yeah, she kinda upped the ante with the character assassination comment. Perhaps a bit melodramatic, since this is a woman who was often by Hillary Clinton’s side on the campaign trail, and has therefore seen the consequences of true character assassination firsthand. Speaking of which, we’re surprised Katy never reminds her fans of those rumors that Taylor voted for Trump . Miley Cyrus was one of several musicians to take to the stage on Sunday night and bring a tear to the eyes of over 60,000 people in Manchester. Along with Justin Bieber, Chris Martin, Liam Gallagher, organizer Ariana Grande and many others, Cyrus performed at a concert whose proceeds went to the Red Cross’ We Love Manchester emergency fund. This fund was set up in the wake of an attack on May 22 that killed nearly two dozen people who attended a Grande concert in Manchester Arena. At one point during this special show, Cyrus sang a duet of “Don't Dream It's Over” with Ariana, while at another point, she went solo with a rendition of her new single, “Inspired.” It was an appropriately moving song for the occasion. Upon dedicating this performance to everyone in the crowd (and around the world, really), Cyrus added: “I’d like to wrap my arms around each and every one of you and tell you thank you from the bottom of our hearts “I am so honored to be at this incredible event surrounded by all you amazing people.” She continued: “For me, the most important responsibility we have on this entire planet is to take care of one another, and look what we’re doing today and how amazing that is.” It really is true. The concert appears to have been a mammoth success, both from a fundraising perspective (about $2.6 million raised) and from the perspective of lifting up a city in need. Ariana Grande has talked the inspiring talk. And now she’s about to walk the fundraising walk. Just as she vowed she would do a few days ago in a moving statement , the artist has put together a concert in Manchester that won’t just honor the victims who died in last week’s nail bombing massacre… … it will also raise money for their families. As you very likely know by now, Grande had just finished a show in this same British city last Monday when tragedy struck. A terrorist detonated an explosive that killed 22 attendees , while also injuring dozens and dozens more. Grande rushed back to Florida to be with her family shortly after the attack, Tweeting that she was “broken” by what transpired and offering her heartfelt condolences to all affected by the massacre. But the young artist then re-grouped and came up with a plan of action. She will return to Manchester on June 4 for what is being titled the “One Love Manchester” concert. And she’s bringing some famous friends along with her. Here is what we now know about the special event: – It will be held at the city’s Old Trafford cricket ground, which can seat over 76,000 people. – Along with Grande, the following musicians are scheduled to perform: Justin Bieber, Take That, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Coldplay Niall Horan and Pharrell Williams. – Those who attended the ill-fated May 22 concert can request free tickets to see the show. – Regular tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Manchester time this Thursday, June 1. – All proceeds will go to an emergency fund set up by the city of Manchester and the British Red Cross to benefit the families of victims who perished in the bomb or victims who were injured in the attack. In the wake of this unimaginable crime, many of the stars who will take to the stage in Manchester Tweeted their support and prayers. “Broken hearted for the families tonight. Broken hearted for Ari. Broken hearted for the state of this world,” wrote Perry, while Bieber added: “#PrayforManchester.” Wrote Coldplay last week: “sending all of our Love to all those affected by last night’s tragedy in manchester.” Cyrus, meanwhile, dedicated the following performance on The Voice to everyone associated with this bombing: Miley Cyrus Dedicates The Voice Performance to Ariana Grande Grande has canceled all European tour dates up through June 7; it’s unclear right now if she’ll take the stage in Paris that night as initially planned. But here is a portion of what she wrote on Friday, as she announced this tribute concert and made fans out of pretty much every person on the planet: My heart, prayers and deepest condolences or with the victims of the Manchester Attack and their loved ones. There is nothing I or anyone can do to take away the pain you are feeling or to make this better. However, I extend my hand and heart and everything I possibly can give to you and yours, should you want or need my help in any way… Music is something that everyone on Earth can share. Music is meant to heal us, to bring us together, to make us happy. So that is what it will continue to do for us. We will continue in honor of the ones we lost, their loved ones, my fans and all affected by this tragedy.
