Brittney Griner Files for Annulment of Marriage to Glory Johnson

One day after Glory Johnson announced she was pregnant, Brittney Griner has filed to annul her 28-day marriage to… Glory Johnson. Griner and Johnson got married on May 8, an unexpected turn of events that took place just days after both WNBA players were arrested for assault against one another. Johnson then excitedly announced on Thursday that she’s expecting a baby. In court documents obtained by TMZ, however, Griner says she has no biological connection to this child and only married Johnson due to “fraud and duress,” claiming she was made to do so via “threatening statements.” Marketing agent D.J. Fisher speaks for Johnson, meanwhile, and says she was “blindsided” by Griner’s annulment filing . He says Glory “still loves and cares for Brittney.” But this is the statement released by Griner in response to today’s events: “Last Wednesday, Glory and I agreed to either legally separate, get divorced, or annul our marriage. In the week prior to the wedding, I attempted to postpone the wedding several times until I completed counseling, but I still went through with it. “I now realize that was a mistake.” Johnson, who is sitting out the 2015 WNBA to give birth and to care for her baby, says no marriage dissolution agreement was ever in place. Says her rep: “Glory wouldn’t intentionally do anything to hurt Brittney and has tried her best to protect her and their marriage. Obviously this marriage was about them starting their life together. “Glory is the sweetest thing in the world and she was dedicated to their partnership.” Griner and Johnson have been together for a long time. They appeared on an episode of Say Yes to the Dress together in January… yet are clearly finding it a lot harder to say yes to the same thing these days. Marriage Boot Camp Season 3 Episode 2 Recap: Death Wish

Last week, Kendra Wilkinson was blindsided on the premiere of Marriage Boot Camp, with her mom showing up out of the blue and causing epic drama. What would the WE tv series do for an encore?! Well, on Marriage Boot Camp Season 3 Episode 2, faux deathbed confessions caused new issues for the (mostly non-) married couples in the house. It’s all about Kendra, though, and we all know it. Picking up where the explosive premiere left off, Marriage Boot Camp Season 3 Episode 2 saw, again, Hank Baskett’s “transgressions” come up. If you recall, Hank and Kendra were on the brink of divorce after the Ava London hand relief scandal, but now seem to have weathered the storm. This episode entailed a role-playing exercise where K-Dubs is visiting her husband on his deathbed. Was this what helped them get through the pain? “You are my heart,” Kendra tells Hank, fighting back tears. “You are my soul. I love you. I will always love you.” Bet Ava London never told him that. Kendra Wilkinson Says Reality TV Therapy Helped Her Marital Crisis At one point we thought Kendra Wilkinson might kill her husband Hank Baskett after allegations he’d cheated on her with a transgender model , but these days she’s saying she’d kill for him. According to US Weekly reports : Sounds like the worst is behind them. Kendra Wilkinson’s marriage to Hank Baskett was in serious jeopardy as recently as seven months ago, but these days, the two are more loved up than ever. Us Weekly caught up with the model, 29, at the May 28 premiere party for WE tv’s Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, where she gushed that she and Baskett are in a great place less than a year after his alleged affair with a transgender model. “Our marriage is amazing right now,” Wilkinson told Us. “We are working on it every single day. It’s a lot of work, 24/7, but we’re both willing to put that time in and really stick it through. We’re both in it for the long run, and we both have goals, and they’re both the same.” The Kendra on Top star credits Marriage Boot Camp, in part, with helping her work through some of her lingering trust issues with Baskett, 32, dad to Hank IV, 5, and Alijah, 12 months. “We decided to do the show because at the time we were going through a huge marital crisis that needed to be dealt with,” she explained to Us, alluding to her husband’s June 2014 cheating scandal. “We were seeking therapy, but we would go home and we would have to take care of two young kids, and the focus would go back on them and never about us. So when this opportunity came to get away for two weeks, with no kids, no distractions, that is exactly what we needed at that time.” She continued: “I mean, what we were dealing with was a life threatening crisis, a marital crisis. Yes, it was a very dangerous decision to make, to solve our problems on TV, but I’m a person that doesn’t give a s–t what anybody says, so I was honestly seeking the help…Most people would be like, ‘Why would you do that in front of people?’ I don’t look at it like that. Everybody might call it a show, but I call it therapy.” The former Playmate said she learned a lot through the experience, not just about relationships but also about herself. “I never knew what the word forgiveness meant until I did Marriage Boot Camp, and that was the key,” she shared. “I thought forgiveness meant to be a slave to the other person and to give in and to give them the power. It’s not about that.” In fact, it’s the opposite. “Forgiveness, I learned, is about unity,” she said. “Me not becoming a slave. Me having the power. Not letting anybody or anything from my past control my moment I’m in now. Marriage Boot Camp has made me an extremely strong person — a stronger person than I’ve ever been in my life.” It helped Baskett, too. Wilkinson has said before that the athlete was “very lost” when his alleged fling went down last spring, but she told Us on Thursday that he’s “back on track” and very happy. “At the end of the day, marriage is not only loving the person, it’s about caring for them as a person, as a human being,” she gushed, “and that’s what Hank truly deserves…I love him and I’ll kill for him.” We never put much stock in reality tv therapy — but it sounds like it really worked for Kendra and Hank. Michael Moore: Clint Eastwood Threatened to Kill Me!

As you may have heard, Michael Moore’s criticism of American Sniper has pissed off plenty of very vocal patriots. Even esteemed cultural critic and noted devil without a cause Kid Rock offered his two cents, suggesting that Moore had been molested by his uncle, for some reason. Never one to back down from a controversy (Controversy is kinda his thing.), Moore addressed the film and its director again today on his Facebook page, and spoke for the first time about an incident that may have influenced his opinion on Sniper: “Ten years ago this past week,” Moore writes. “Clint Eastwood stood in front of the National Board of Review awards dinner and announced to me and to the crowd that he would ‘kill’ me if I ever came to his house with my camera for an interview.” “‘I’ll kill you,’ he declared. The crowd laughed nervously…’I mean it,’ he barked, and the audience grew more quiet. ‘I’ll shoot you.'” We don’t know about you, but we may have wet ourselves a bit just reading that description. From the sound of things, Clint stopped just short of asking Moore if he feels lucky, punk. Based on the video of Eastwood yelling at invisible Obama at the 2012 RNC, we knew there was a possibility getting a bit flighty in his old age, but we didn’t realize the line between his movies and his real life had disappeared entirely.  Hopefully, Moore knows to avoid any run-ins with Clint. We’d hate to see him unwittingly cast as a slow-on-the-draw villain in The Good, the Bad, and the Overweight Documentarian. * ooo-wee-ooo-wee-ooooo * Celebrities Who Have Deleted Political Messages 1. Amber Portwood and Matt Baier: It’s Over!

Back in December, we reported that Amber Portwood was dating a 43-year-old ex-con by the name of Matt Baier. Massive age difference aside, the relationship was an odd one from the start, as it was quickly revealed that Baier was obsessed with Jenelle Evans and several other Teen Mom cast members. So it’s probably a good thing that insiders are reporting Portwood has finally dumped Baier. “They broke up earlier this week,” a source tells Radar Online. “They had a very tumultuous relationship.” Another insider says Amber never fully trusted Baier and suspected him of cheating throughout their relationship. Whatever the cause, the breakup appears to have been sudden. Just last week, Amber gushed about Baier on Twitter, writing: “I’m blessed to have you by my side through these hard times…Love you.” The “hard times” Amber is referring to likely include the death of Portwood’s father who passed away in December from liver damage caused by decades of heavy drinking. Friends say Baier was extremely supportive of Amber through that crisis, but they also claim he had more bad qualities than good. Baier was reportedly chronically unemployed and had been arrested several times n the past for charges ranging from DUI to assault. Sounds like Amber dodged a bullet on this one.
