BET Hip Hop Awards 2013: List of Nominations!

The nominations are in for the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards, and Kendrick Lamar, who recently put the entire genre on BLAST, leads the way with 14 of them. Lamar made waves in his major label debut, calling out some of rap’s best and warning them about his aim for hip hop’s top spot on Big Sean’s “Control” . Kendrick Lamar Talks Smack – Don’t Kill His Vibe BET noticed. In a statement to the AP, the network Kendrick Lamar received the most nominations with 14, while Drake scored 13 and J. Cole 10. The eighth annual BET Hip Hop Awards will air October 15, though they will be taped September 28 at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center. For the first time, Snoop Dogg will host the show.
