Consider it safe to say that Kordell Stewart is glad The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams now goes by her maiden name again and not his. The former NFL star wants nothing to do with his former wife after The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion that saw her attack co-star Kenya Moore on Bravo. “Kordell is distancing himself from Porsha, now more than ever,” a friend close to him said, noting that after the melee, “he’s embarrassed for her.” “During their marriage, he thought Porsha acted inappropriately to get ratings for the show and wasn’t a good role model for his son [Syre],” the source adds. “Her fight on national TV just proves that and then some.” After seeing Porsha smack down Kenya Moore – even if she was provoked, taunted and ridiculed about Kordell specifically – he is disgusted by her antics. The silver lining? Moving on for good from this disaster. Following the split, Kordell was briefly linked to Towanda Braxton, a report he later denied; sources have said that he isn’t ready to settle down … yet. “He’s focusing on his son,” the friend said of Kordell’s plans. “When he’s ready to get serious, he wants a women who will be a good role model. He’s looking for someone driven, intelligent, [and] who can take care of herself.” Bravo stars? Probably not high on the list of candidates.
While Teresa Giudice struggles with her finances, another member of The Real Housewives of New Jersey finally has come up with a way to bolster hers. Melissa Gorga confirms to Us Weekly that her first jewelry line, the Melissa Gorga Collection, will hit HSN in July. “I have always loved fashion and styling with accessories. Since I was a girl, I would spend hours playing with my mother’s jewelry,” Gorga explains . “With this collection, I wanted to produce something fresh that was luxurious and bold, but accessible for stylish women at any age.” The line will be comprised of 24 items,such earrings, rings, bracelets and necklaces. “I’ve always admired one-of-a-kind statement pieces so I wanted to create a collection of my own,” the mother of three suas. “When designing the collection, I was looking to create those ‘wow’ pieces that people would stop you and say, ‘Where did you get that?'” The most expensive bauble will only cost $100. Emphasizing the versatility, Gorga concludes: “The collection is very versatile and features high-fashion statement pieces that are trendy and take you from day to night. Sure, she might have antagonized Porsha Williams by insulting her intelligence and marriage, even bringing props to goad her co-star even more aggressively. But there’s just no excuse for violence, people. The Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion Fight After weeks of speculation surrounding their reported brawl on set, viewers finally saw Porsha Williams beat down Kenya Moore Sunday on Bravo. As you can see if you re- watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online , Porsha may have thrown down, but Kenya was hardly an innocent bystander. Moore sure makes it seem that way though, first with her eye-rolling 911 call and now with a statement she’s released in the aftermath of the episode. Williams faces battery charges following an investigation, though Moore is reportedly willing to drop the charges if she receives a sincere public apology. Good luck with that. There’s clearly no love lost between the two reality stars, who went at each other all season long, sparring (verbally) on the hit series. The episode, which aired tonight, Sunday, April 20, 2014, was taped in front of an audience of over 50 people, which included cast, crew, guests and executives, who served as witnesses. I called 911 to report the incident. Atlanta police conducted an independent investigation, which included viewing the raw footage of the incident. As a result, Porsha Williams was charged with battery. The authorities will decide her fate, not me. There are many inflammatory statements made by cast members to and about each other particularly during the reunion tapings. Many have made untrue, denigrating, disparaging, and inflammatory statements against me in an attempt to provoke me, but I have never reacted in a violent way. My intellect and my brain are my most powerful weapons – not my fists. If people get so angry that they lose control and admittedly “black out” and resort to violence, those persons must be held responsible for their actions. Being on a reality show does not absolve people of their rights. After being repeatedly attacked by an abusive boyfriend at the age of 17, if someone puts their hands on me, I will not just let it go. With that said, I sought self-defense training developed for the Israeli military. I’ve been trained in weapons. I can take someone down in three moves. It took discipline for me not to respond in kind. As violent responses escalate, they can quickly result in severe injury or even death. Being the second Black woman to be crowned Miss USA, there are little girls who look up to me. I would never want those girls, my nieces, or my future children to see me fighting anyone. Moore explained why she didn’t invite Apollo Nida‘s wife to Velvet’s memorial. “There were certain things that were said that were really below the belt and extremely insensitive, uncalled for, and cruel,” Moore said. “For instance, Phaedra saying something about scrambled eggs. As a woman, who is trying to have a child and going through the process, and to make fun of the fact that that is an issue for me… I think that’s well below the belt. So I didn’t think it was appropriate for [her] to be there.” Parks insisted that she contacted the former Miss USA with her condolences about Velvet, who was killed by a neighbor’s vicious dog. “I felt really bad, and I reached out to her because, as a funeral director, I obviously bury animals, as well,” Parks explained. “I wanted her to know that I was very concerned about her.” “I knew that Velvet was her friend,” she said, before adding snarkily, “That was probably one of her only good friends.” “That’s not fair for you to say that. You know that that was an animal,” Moore snapped. “For you to say that was one of my only friends, that’s shade, and that’s inappropriate at this time.
